Jax State got blown out by Maine Who? Are you even speaking English right now? Jacksonville State. We used to play them when I was going to school at Troy

Ummmm, no on Propst. He's a solid high school coach and let's leave it at that. It's absolutely hilarious how often Propst's name STILL gets brought in damn near any decently high profile job opening comes up in this state lol I'm just so shocked that no high profile schools are beating down a 60-year olds door to come be an OC somewhere... Another good coach would be Randy Sanders at East Tennessee State. He helped start up football there again. That being said I hope Neal Brown stays as long as possible

If Virginia Tech got bowl eligible, that would be a good matchup. I think it would be a ten point game either way and Troy has comparable athletes to Tech

I thought every student at Georgia Tech had to take a calculus class to graduate? Several Degree (and minor) Programs currently available at GaTech (straight from Tech's Website) Applied Language and Intercultural Studies (BS) Chinese (Minor) Computational Media & Digital Media (BS/MS) Computational Media (BS) East Asian Studies (Minor) Economics (BS) Economics (Minor) Economics and International Affairs (BS) Energy Systems (Minor) Film and Media Studies (Minor) French (Minor) German (Minor) Global Development (Minor) Global Economics and Modern Languages (BS) Health, Medicine, and Society (Minor) History (Minor) History, Technology, and Society (BS) International Affairs (BS) International Affairs (BS/MS) International Affairs (Minor) International Affairs and Modern Languages (BS) International Business, Language, and Culture (Minor) Japanese (Minor) Korean (Minor) Law, Science, and Technology – Pre-Law (Minor) Leadership Studies (Minor) Linguistics (Minor) Literature, Media, and Communication & Digital Media (BS/MS) Literature, Media, and Communication (BS) Middle Eastern and North African Studies (Minor) Naval Science (Minor) Performance Studies (Minor) Philosophy (Minor) Political Science (Minor) Public Policy (BS) Public Policy (BS/MS) Public Policy (Minor) Russian (Minor) Science Fiction Studies (Minor) Science, Technology, and Society (Minor) Social Justice (Minor) Sociology (Minor) Spanish (Minor) Sports, Society, and Technology (Minor) Technical Communications (Minor) Women, Science, and Technology (Minor) Sciences Applied Physics (BS) Biochemistry (BS) Biochemistry (Minor) Biology (BS) Biology (Minor) Biomedical Engineering (Minor) Chemistry (BS) Chemistry (Minor) Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (BS) Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (Minor) Energy Systems (Minor) Health and Medical Sciences (Minor) Linguistics (Minor) Tech Football could conceivably (and may need to) attract 5th Year Masters Transfer football players into some of these MS Programs to quickly rebuild?? I do not think that Calculus is required for All us Wrecks! I wonder if a lot of the football players there are majoring in Economics? I know Virginia Tech has "Human Development" with a lot of athletes enrolled. Va Tech "cut back on academics for football" on the insistence of Frank Beamer when he took the coaching job.

To many negatives though. Tougher standards than some of the other ACC schools, second fiddle to UGA, would recruit against Clemson, FSU, Miami just in your immediate area plus the SEC schools. You have Atlanta but a lot of obstacles against you. You have a better chance to win at Louisville than Tech imo I'm telling you Brother.. that academic standards Blah, Blah at Tech is a charade of rationalization for poor performance. That institution needs a reality adjustment. There's a reason for PJ's "retirement", and it's just a media/institution deference to his years of service and "achievement". And where in the SE United States would you NOT meet tough recruiting competition?? It's part of the business now, wherever one lands. CNB will do what's best for family first, career a very close second. Those priorities are closely hand in hand for Neal.. In his shoes sir, would you rather be recruiting to ACC in Atlanta for bigger opportunities, or Sunbelt in Troy? Reality check. CNB is a Wildcat Family/Fan, Louisville sux. I thought every student at Georgia Tech had to take a calculus class to graduate?

Brohm said NO! Staying at Purdue. Next up? So this leaves TTech, GA Tech, and Louisville as the southern schools in need and they likely aren't attractive enough to lure a big name at this point. That'll mean they have to land on a smaller school now and I'll bet CNB lands one of those jobs. My wager would be on Neal Brown to Texas Tech

Hugh Freeze is far more trouble than he's worth. No way Jose! IMO

I would be more concerned with Purdue if Brohm leaves. IMO I really don't see NB leaving this year. 1) The offense sputtered a lot this year that could hurt him 2) we didn't win the conference 3) Schedule is very, very favorabe for greater success next year which could mean bigger opportunities. JMO though If Neal Brown wins 10 next year with an upset over Missouri , he will be a red hot commodity

I think we need to put together $5 million for 5 years to get someone who can keep Troy competitive. Please not Hugh Freeze.

Neal has also been mentioned for UNC. I'm more concerned he is heading back to Lubbock Texas

Highly doubtful. UNC is a dumpster fire right now. Their coach is not the problem. Coach Satt will be staying where he is for awhile. If he were to leave later, he could do WAY better than the Tarheels. Is Mack Brown Chevrolet still in Boone? Assuming that is his dealership. Mack had his first coaching job there I believe. I'm from Galax Va up the road.

We need more playmakers on offense. Nobody scared anybody this year. BJ was great but wore down as the year rolled on. Finding a super mobile QB would help as well. Man, if we could only find another Kelvin Simmons out there. Just reload on defense. Barker is pretty darn mobile. Had some long TD runs

Where's the trophy? Face it... we were not good this season. We got our tail kicked by the only decent teams we faced and we lost to Liberty. It's not whining it's stating the facts. I don't accept getting bent like you and I call it like I see it. Coach Brown did great with Blakeney's players and now that he is on his own, he doesn't win a championship. The way I see it, if he doesn't win a championship next season, we will be looking to replace him. Do you realize what an achievement it was to beat Nebraska? That school has 5 times the budget we do. I recall we beat some SEC school in Baton Rouge . LA last year too.

That was the game where we couldn't stop Antonio Brown That was a helluva game, even in a loss! Their QB (LeFevour) was a better leader than our QB, very close game but that intangilbe made a difference! Not only was he a stud, he had the hearts and minds of his team... I remember him well. Daniel Terrence LeFevour (born March 19, 1987) is a former Canadian football quarterback. He was originally drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears and spent time with three other NFL teams (without appearing in a regular-season game) before entering the CFL in 2012. Before his professional career begun, he played college football at Central Michigan University. Known as a dual-threat quarterback, LeFevour previously held the record for most touchdowns scored (e.g., by passing, running and catching the ball) in the history of the NCAA, with 148 touchdowns scored. Case Keenum has since surpassed that record, in 2011.[1][2] I think Antonio Brown ran back a kick for a touchdown if I'm not mistaken.

The best local forecast is generally from Ray's (http://booneweather.com/Forecast/Boone). Right now, it's looking like cloudy with some rain possible and highs in the mid-40's - not bad at all for the end of November in Boone. At least it's not looking like the 22* and ice / snow we had Friday. We'll know more as we get a little closer. Just dress like you would for 4:30 a.m. deer hunting in January and you'll be fine. I did that in Mobile once. It was 28 degrees at kick, I was bundled up like Ralpie headed off to school. To top it off, we lost to Central Michigan in OT. Man, that was a fun trip, and that's not sarcasm. That was the game where we couldn't stop Antonio Brown

Looks like Sumpter may be our Offensive Player of the Year as well as Special Teams Player of the Year. Would likely be another "First" for this program. Sumpter should be POY, totally agree! He may get a chance to kick/punt at the next level

What I wrote down. APP's average score thru ten games 35+ ADD tWO scores, (Field goals, seems what were best at) = 41+ 41+ / Field Goals = 14 Field Goals If it can be done, Tyler CAN DO IT! Ok.... but.... TMTDM is the best Defense in the SBC. So take App's points way down. I think we hold them to 3 TDs. I also think coach was sandbagging. I think we roll in there and score touchdowns. Been going to Troy games since '89. Granted that was not the best Texas State team, but that was the best I have seen a Troy Defense play.

If that D shows up like that in Boone, I think 4 field goals will be enough again. 6 count'em 6 turnovers. Yessir, and that was against a freshman starting QB. I do not think that we'll be so fortunate to have that matchup in Boone. I think that our anemic O will need to get a transfusion of sorts to help our D get the W in Boone. Now, if Sumpter could just catch a pass.... I agree. Running the ball up the middle against App St will be problematic, but this team knows how to win through adversity.
