No what they call "BIG" programs after him but we won of a pool of 8 offers. No "BIG" programs were after Demarcus or Osi either Nobody was after Demarcus and Osi...ok maybe Albany State offered Osi, but absolutely nobody even knew who Demarcus was. I thought DeMarcus was originally a basketball player?

He's big, good size and he needs to add some speed for the college level. Understand he is really good catching the ball out of the backfield and it sounds like he could be a back like Woolfolk who can finish the game. If 40 is really 4.88 he really does not have a great deal of speed but for 3-9 yards I will take it on that frame 4.88 is very slow lot of D3 players are faster

We had a five star by the name of Josh Jarboe Oh yeah.🤯 Jarboe was rated just behind Julio Jones. Recruiting can be a crap shoot

Yet they had no trouble finding Itawamba CC or Scooba, MS That made it easy, one call, feet up on the desk with a cup of joe. Met at sister's for lunch and golf at 4pm. "Hey, we need a safety! Ah, call scooba, what time is our tee time??" Neal Brown changed that. "Who just got kicked out of Auburn?" was a popular theme then also

Unpopular Opinion: Rowell's defenses were conference title worthy four years in a row. He should get credit for that. The team as a whole began to decline in Larry's final years at Troy. It's possible that the head ball coach (a legend, I mean no disrespect), had lost control of the team, and wasn't recruiting a high level anymore. Not saying Rowell was a great coach down the stretch, but it wasn't all on him by any means. Would he have been as bad if Larry was 10 years younger during that time? Some things JR did were inexcusable. Like the offense putting up 700 yards on Derek Dooley's Tennessee team and couldn't muster up enough D to get the W. I remember watching a game against Monroe. The QB threw a TD pass to a receiver who had no Troy player within 20 yards of him. My Dad could have walked that one in.

He will have to bathe twice!! This board is full of clowns. He played at Troy under Coach Blakeney. Right next to Demarcus Ware. I remember Davern Williams at Troy. He played in the NFL too. With the Redskins I believe

Saw a few offers today from the 2018 7A state champs, all from WVU.. (The HC we don’t speak of) get on that. I wonder if the new staff will recruit the Florida panhandle? Troy has gotten a lot of good players from there

Moore had five times the experience. This guy has been a OL coach for a grand total of three years. That's the difference A Matt Moore now goes for $500k annually. Can you afford it? We got a deal on those Coaches at that time. Matt was Coaching at LaTech. We raised the assistants budget from $1.2 million to $2 million. I think General Givhan helped with that

He took what was, at times and for various circumstances, weakened offenses and weakened defenses and found ways to win by doing exactly what Bubba said, managing the game. It's higher altitude vision and not simply just play-by-play, series-by-series. Hemi nails why I will miss CNB so much - he was a real head coach. I think he's going to be a legend in the long run. I truly do. And when he does become a legend I believe he will always thank Troy for giving him his first HC job. (The HC we don’t speak of) could wind up being the exact same but only time will tell. Troy has a great reputation for grooming head coaches all the way back to Chan Gailey

Realize this, without the brain fart vs. MTSU (that's what it was, I saw it with my own eyes). The women would be 14-1 with the only loss at FSU in game 1. They would certainly be in the top 25 right now, the talent is unbelievable and I think they learned from the mistakes vs. MTSU. Saturday vs. Ark State, they were in the same position where they took the lead, built on it while Ark State started coming back. They played smart, did not rush down the floor and shoot with 20 seconds on the shot clock, it was nice to see. Great coaches learn from mistakes and make adjustments and we have a great one. I'd match coach Rigby with any in the SEC. She gets more out of her girls than any of those coaches.

Well put corn. Question asked. Question answered. He was honest about it. That is appreciated and respected. Now let’s win the Belt. I'm certain the man is at least intelligent enough not to badmouth a school that has just given him his first head coaching job at $1 miilion a year?

If you think Neal Brown has his work cut out to pass up Oklahoma and Texas...Kansas is light years behind that. They are light years behind The Normal School is regards to facilities as well. go to Kansas and maybe place fourth or fifth. Go to The Normal School and win championships - those mean something. Several kids from Georgia on there...they are fair game now. Coach (The HC we don’t speak of) can legitimately tell Kansas recruits Troy is a better opportunity.

A couple of three star de-commits from Auburn or Kansas to Troy would be welcome additions Not sure we want anybody committed to Kansas. Pretty sure our players are better than theirs We had a pretty good lineman transfer from Kansas when I was in grad school 96-97. Have to look up his name. We were 1-AA then though

Rigby will get her teams to the NCAA tournament multiple times if we can keep her here. She's already done that. They went back to back years after winning back to back conference titles in 2016 and 2017. She will get more appearances for sure and maybe get a few upsets in the Tournament

Whatever Rigby and her staff are getting paid, pay them more! I seriously hope Rigby has gotten a nice raise over the last couple of years, and I hope she gets more raises and some extensions. Troy needs to keep her as long as possible. Rigby will get her teams to the NCAA tournament multiple times if we can keep her here.

Anyone hear word on any new offers by Coach (The HC we don’t speak of)? If my math is correct ... we still have at least 6 or 7 more spots in the class. Anyone who make it to the BB game see any visitors?? A couple of three star de-commits from Auburn or Kansas to Troy would be welcome additions

If we could afford to get Rodney Garner from Auburn it would be a good move. Excellent recruiter for Auburn and at UGA as well

You think Neal Brown made a mistake taking the West Virginia job ? I did when the initial dollar rumors came out but now that the numbers are better i think he made a great decision. I think it’s his final destination. Neal Brown wants to be HC at Kentucky
