I don't think Chan ever took a knee. The other team either stopped us or we were going to keep scoring. Some of LBs early teams were just absolutely stone cold ruthless. The second time we ever played in the 'boro, GaSouth NEVER crossed the fifty. Even late in the game. We walked into Lake Charles one Saturday night during our first playoff run, in front of a packed house of 30k and punched McNeese so hard in the mouth they haven't recovered. I haven't seen that in this team yet. YET. If Alabama turned the ball over 6 times to Troy, Troy wins. Defense wins championships

So on OFF we are missing these key players / starters - we need more depth. Defensive depth is fine but we have no depth on offense. QB Barker out for the season WRs Willis, Douglas, Davis, Eafford all injured (our top targets) TE Letton, suspended - what’s his status? WR Samuel, suspended, no longer with the team RB Henderson, suspended, no longer with the team OL Kelley, injured There is no reason to mention samuel and henderson...they are off the team and never contributed anything this season when they played anyway. We have depth on offense Neal just can't call plays correctly. He got Douglas injured yesterday on that dumb screen that he so loves to call that never works. That's why Willis didn't play yesterday because of that stupid screen against Ga Southern. We have depth...its called a roster. Look on there we have players. Gotta learn how to be the head coach and let the play calling go that's why the offense is stagnative. He doesn't have the juice anymore... With the way our D played yesterday, we could beat App St 7-6! that would be fine with me

Considering the youth, injuries, and loss of players this very well may be the best coaching job by this staff so far. Coach Vic ran the defense to perfection. I think Neal Brown ran the plain vanilla offense with the injuries in mind. With a D that salty you don't need much offense

Mixed bag. Offense mediocre at best. One of the best defensive showings I have seen in my 30 years of watching Troy football Defense does seem to be clicking. Just doesn't have that TMTDM swagger of yesteryear. [br Forcing 6 turnovers is good enough for me. We had enough offense to scrape out the W.

We will be fine next week. Not saying we win but it's not an automatic L based on today's game. Remember, GA southern only beat TX state 15-13, then beat App...so you can't look at one games performance to predict the rest of the season. If so, we shouldn't have won another game after the way we played at liberty. This team will respond! Mixed bag. Offense mediocre at best. One of the best defensive showings I have seen in my 30 years of watching Troy football

UAB anywhere Bowl would be fun! Bring them Bammer Lites on! Those miserable lumps of roadkill have a football team? I thought they shut that down years ago. Lol... Empty stadium U. Let the countdown begin for when they shut it down again. If UAB stopped having football again, I'd gladly take Bill Clark if Neal Brown has left

Was wondering how he started as a SR at Wash State after Jr year at ECU. After a bit of search, he graduated ECU in Dec 2017, left the program Urban Meyer style (Family issues) then surfaced at Washington State as a 5th year Grad student this past summer (I guess the Cougars offer resolved the family issues). It appears he only started 5 games at ECU last year, alternating with 5th year Grad transfer Thomas Sirk (Duke). ECU posted a 1-4 record with Gardner at the helm, losing 3 of the last 4 games. He's tearing it up in the PAc-12 this year at Pullman, WA. Doubt if he's a candidate for Heisman tho'. Hard to imagine that we'd a done better than Brandon Silvers at the Trojans helm the last three years. Brandon lead the Trojans to a 21-5 record his last two years, including two Bowl wins. Nobody runs air raid like Mike Leach.....period. Qb's thrive in his system. Was he better than Brandon? Can't say because we don't run air raid and we don't need to call our offense air raid. Wash St and WV run air raid and you see the passing yards difference. Grier at WV was adequate at UF but flourished at WV. The qb before him couldn't start at FSU and put up huge numbers at WV. Sometimes it's the right qb finding the right system. Leach always has system Quarterbacks.

I think it's hilarious that Texas State is in a recruiting hotbed, have tons more resources and always seem to come in higher on recruiting rankings. Somehow, we manage to beat the pants off of them on a regular basis.

I went and looked up coaches salaries...Looks like CNB is the 3rd highest paid coach in the Sunbelt (ULL 1st; ARK ST 2nd). Troy needs to pony up after this year and keep coach around a few more years. I think he's at 800k now. He deserves a million a year to try to keep him here in Troy.

The lure of ones alma mater could lure Brohm but coaching in the Big 10 is more prestigious than the ACC but that is just my opinion You see how well coaching at your alma mater worked for scott frost. Of course he did have the task of playing the trojans. One factor that could be in play. Neal Brown was a WR for Kentucky. Bitter rivals of Louisville. Then again. Rick Pitino coached both schools

The poise of this young team was remarkable on Saturday. Down 14-3 on the road, backed up on your 2 yard line, on 2nd and 16 and the play call and execution were perfect. Luke Whittemore playing the next man up part. Great response to adversity by this team. I find it interesting you referred to this team as "young". I recently posted something along those lines. We have quite a few seniors starting on this team, but very few juniors. There are as many FR/RSFR/Soph starting as there are seniors. The future is VERY bright. With the talent we have coming back and as long as CNB stays, I EXPECT us to beat Missouri next year

ESPN radio earlier today mentioned that CNB should be Louisville’s prime choice for for HC The online rumor mill says they targeting Purdue’s Jeff Brohm. He would be coming home, as he is Louisville ex-player and asst. coach. I hope that's right, but it would be a lateral move at best for Brohm . For Neal Brown that is a big career move. If we have to look for a new coach Brian Bohannon at Kennesaw St would be a good choice IMO. That being said, I hope Brown stays here as long as possible.

Neal Brown and his staff went toe to toe with Orgeron and Frost and came out on top. I hope he isn't headed to Louisville, but we have a good reputation he has helped us build to get a capable replacement if that happens.

Willis has the size speed and hands every NFL team looks for. We stole the Kid from Ole Miss and Mississippi St. Troy has a good number of high level players on this roster. Our recruiting has absolutely stepped up a notch or three with CNB at the helm. Part of the reason we were able to beat LSU and Nebraska. We now have some equivalent starters even though we might lack a little depth with Power 5 schools.

Damion Willis will be drafted. Great Size Speed and Hands. SEC talent. Not necessarily. With spread offenses WR's are everywhere. He's talented but every team has one of him anymore. If or when Neal Brown leaves, I for one would love to have Bill Clark at Troy, but that would be a lateral move for him.

Minshew is going great things, but he might not have been the best fit in our offense. We won the conference without him, and lack of a QB is the least of our problems right now.

Damion will have to put on some weight but he should get a great shot at the NFL - just the ability to high point the ball and the things he can do with his boy while in the air - very fun to watch Folsom is a stud too. He could be playing at Georgia and will get a chance on Sundays

We have a ridiculous amount of talent returning next year assuming NFL doesn’t come calling If we keep coach brown next year will be fun for sure Damion Willis will be drafted. Great Size Speed and Hands. SEC talent.

Rowell couldn't beat a Derek Dooley Tennessee team when we put up 700 yards of offense Can't win em all . One teams castoff is another's treasure good luck with that.
