I think we need to put together $5 million for 5 years to get someone who can keep Troy competitive. Please not Hugh Freeze.

Agreed!! Let's keep the entire staff ... have historic signing class (including several more legit threats at WR/RB), get Barker to 100% ... then after we run the table and win a big 6/New Years bowl ... then we can discuss how much to use for the staff! Just dreaming a bit!

One thing is for sure....Troy can't issue anymore bonds to up the salaries (being sarcastic). Good question as to how much we can afford.

Just dreaming a bit! only about playing on New Years Day. I can never see that happening to any team from the Sun Belt. The Belt is getting competitive where you can have a misstep and lose a conference game (App St 2018, Troy 2017) and you have to win your one or two money games so going 12-0 is not impossible but highly improbable

Report: (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) strongly in the mix for Tennesseeâs offensive coordinator job; Hugh Freeze still âpossibleâ
They were paying former OC Helton $1.2 big ones. (The HC we don’t speak of) was qb coach at Troy just 5/6 years ago.

Seems like Troy is in a similar situation as UAB. Word came this week that Bill Clark was on the short list for the Georgia Tech job. UAB's administration and boosters stepped up to make him the highest paid coach in Conference USA at $1.45 million... AL.com: UAB makes Bill Clark highest paid coach in C-USAHopefully Troy can do something similar to keep Brown.

If Littrell stays at UNT he will be getting a bump and it will get him back to the highest paid.

If Littrell stays at UNT he will be getting a bump and it will get him back to the highest paid. Usually you give the pay bump to encourage your coach to stay. But hey, you do you Mean Green.
