They now have corner and EZ sections for $30.... not bad For those individuals still shopping for tickets you might want to use this link as more tickets are "released" from TicketMaster to Troy Ticket Office: www.seats3d.com/ncaa/uab/football/#/To use this link, look on TicketMaster to see what seats are available, then come to this link and click on the section where tickets have come available and you will see the view from those seats! These latest sections will enable us all to look at the fan responses in these sections to determine if Chris Lewis toe tapped the corner of the endzone for a touchdown ... it is their call to make It's Chris Lewis. He's always in bounds.

So we don’t know if Duke’s QB1 will play yet? He is not playing. Committed to ND. Plus he's had some nagging injuries this season. He won't risk undoing any progress for a Birmingham Bowl win.

I remember years ago staff would stand at the top of the sections and check but I'm sure after COVID it got hard to find enough workers.

Agreed. And usually anything obstructing one's view of University Avenue is a God send.

I think Brent's probably got a plan that involves an IPF. I just hope we end up with something prettier than that terrible green barn off of 65 in Birmingham.

Coach see's gold in the hills of Mississippi. We are really targeting that state hard and it helps that USM is having such a downturn.

They can have their seats there but if there are empty bleachers below, the ushers at Troy have never told someone to move. We always have “roamers” in our reserved section I had someone get mad when I told them to get out of my seat. He moved over one seat. I said no I have all four and another guy has the rest of the row. The struggle is real when people with GA tickets come into reserved sections. I think better signage would help.

This may be the most talented QB we've faced outside of Will Howard.

He's been excited about The Reaper, the defensive end from NOLA, since he got to campus. I can't wait to see what he looks like after another off season at Rusty's Finishing School.

The whole conference has an unhealthy relationship with JMU at the moment. I think we need a trial separation.

Interesting side story here, Our DC Coach Gasparato was Co-DC and Safeties Coach at Army Knights during the 2020 season, "Under Gasparato’s influence, the Knights ranked first in the nation in total defense allowing 275.3 yards per game and were second against the pass at 160.8 yards per game. Army was also second in the country in scoring defense at 14.8 points per game and finished ninth with 16 interceptions." The Boyz had a good interview with Coach Gasparato before the season and talked about his time at Army: podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/troyboyz/episodes/4-Down-Territory-e27e0gb/a-aa5vnic

I started this thread and i tried to make sure the the criticism I was voicing was over the performance, not the player. I want to make sure that just as I sometimes am critical, I also giver credit when due. I didn't see a single low snap Saturday, and if there were any, they didn't occur often enough to impact the game. Kudos to those whose I know worked hard to make these improvements. I especially want to recognize the efforts of our center. He put in the work and it shows. Hopefully, this issue is behind us. I also noticed the snaps were dramatically improved as well. Also, Gunnar did not throw one interception on Saturday for the first time in I don't know how long. That would be 15 days. Gunnar did not throw an interception in the WKU game (although he did fumble twice and lost one of them).

"Require all FBS programs to provide 90% of the total number of allowable scholarships over a two-year rolling period across 16 sports, including football. FBS schools will also be required to fund 210 scholarships each year, amounting to no less than $6 million annually." Just curious if anyone knows where we stand in relation to this? Says goes into effect in 2027. I am THOROUGHLY CONFUSED, I thought FBS stood for Football Bowl Subdivision, or, in other words, the defining of the old D-1 and D-1AA (FCS) FOOTBALL (ONLY) designations. It seems we have used the FBS/FCS as an "umbrella" connotation to group all colleges into a particular basket. For example, where does Gonzaga fall? They are neither FBS or FCS, they simply don't play football, are they going to required to add programs? What about schools like Mercer? They play FCS football, but play D-1 (FBS?) in all other sports? I THINK what you will see is that programs like baseball (I believe there are 13 scholarships available) where players get 1/2 scholarships (either room and board or books and tuition) and rely on academic scholarships and financial aid, receive more/larger scholarship dollars/benefits. Maybe there is an opportunity to make these 'partial' scholarships into full scholarships, to help with the numbers. Don't believe there is a need to add sports, due to costs associated, and just add #s to existing non-revenue generating sports. BTW, what about the Bass Team and Rugby (club) team? Thoughts? Club sports wouldn't count towards this total.

Did I read it wrong, was UMASS favored to beat State? If so, Vegas blew that one really bad. Trojans by 10 in front of a huge crowd. Yes, we were 2 point underdogs vs UMass and depending on where you looked, 8-9 point dogs vs USM. So Vegas blew both games badly. The reality is, when you get outscored 110-3 over your first 2 games of the year, it takes significant wins to get the general opinion of you to change. Beating USM and UMass isn't going to fix that. I don't think many of our fans are expecting to win this weekend, I think the primary goal is to force a competitive game and give a 17 year old QB experience against his first truly hostile crowd. (UMass atmosphere was like attending a local golf tournament) The one thing I think we're interested to see is if we'll truly turn Jaylen Raynor loose with the run game. He's had just a few designed run plays. As a young player he's developed a habit of charging headlong into every play and never sliding. We're unsure if the coaches are trying to keep him inside the pocket until he learns to slide more, or recognizing that we have literally nothing behind him, and a single injury would derail our season. Either way, we're going to need to use the QB run more to beat you guys. I don't think we have a chance without making your defense respect the ground game. We've got a few guys that will volunteer to help teach him to slide more.

Yea but this game against Georgia State is manufactured. It's not like the free growing games you find in the wild that are so much more important. Are you the one doing the Troy Boyz podcast ? And yes the football rivalry with South is manufactured. The Troy Boyz podcast is definitely manufactured. Along with reports of Saint sightings within the Vet.

This thread should be significantly more important than a thread about a team that’s not on the schedule currently. Yea but this game against Georgia State is manufactured. It's not like the free growing games you find in the wild that are so much more important.

I was at that game too. I remember the mascots got into a legit fight. T-Roy had to sit out the second half of the game. Yes, it’s a true rivalry. With passion, disrespect, good natured ribbing and good ole fashioned hate (in a good way). Not some manufactured one. When mascots go at it, it’s real. Bring it. I get pretty sick of this line as well. Just because younger alums feel a connection to the rivalry with XXX doesn't mean the old heads need to insult the Battle of the Belt as "manufactured" like the Battle for the Ole School Bell came down the mountain with Moses or something. Kick rocks. Also, might note its easy to encourage a bad tempered rivalry if you are a poster who openly admits to almost never being at a game. "Sure, bring on the bad blood and the poor behavior. I'll be in my backyard with my buddies regardless."
