Finally it looks like South will try and bring students to the game. Let’s see how that works out for them.

If they are anywhere other than the Upper deck near the water tower we are not doing our job!

Upper deck next to the water tower works for me. Now let's put sots up there with them. Then we can just keep our band up there and make them watch dogs catching frisbees at halftime because that's the better show.

I said no I have all four and another guy has the rest of the row.

Bring on the bus from Mobile!! Both of those students can take their pick of where to sit.
Won't matter a bit. Troy gets the W!

I have mixed opinions on this issue. I understand that GA ticket holders sitting in reserved sections causes confusion at best, conflict at worse. I also know, from 28 years experience, that there are always seats near mine that have been bought as season tickets that are empty 50% or more of the time. On numerous occasions I have bought, when available, reserved seats in the immediate vicinity of my seats for guests (almost always grandkids, with or without their parents). I have also bought GA tickets for guests (again, almost always grandkids, with or without their parents) and they sat in EMPTY seats around me. I do this when there are no reserved seats available nearby.
It's easy for me to say, and I have in the past, that we need to have event personnel check tickets of those entering reserved sections and to direct them to the appropriate seat, whether in that section or elsewhere. Doing so, however, would limit If not eliminate, my ability to take the guests I've mentioned to games while sitting in the seats I have purchased for 20 years.
I've found over the years that asking to see a "stranger's" ticket and pointing out that they are in the wrong section has been effective. On the rare occasion I've seen a conflict, it was quickly resolved by having event personnel or the police inform the interlopers that they must move. I'm not going to fight someone over a seat. If they won't do the appropriate thing, I'll find someone getting paid to enforce the rules.

My rump has been in the same seats for 21 seasons so every home game I become a part-time "seat finder helper". The highly energetic people who are being paid to keep the metal chairs warm could not find the largest sign ever created being that they cannot look up from their phone while attempting to assist those who are lost. I just handle.... free of charge of course.

I remember years ago staff would stand at the top of the sections and check but I'm sure after COVID it got hard to find enough workers.

I once had a person ask if our section was general admission. I WANTED TO SAY: sure most 50 yard line chair backs are but it seems most are taken. So, maybe next time arrive earlier.
But alas I simply pointed to where they were located and that if they had anymore trouble just ask one of the security personnel or hosts.

My seats are in 104. There's always tons of seats not being used around me and in toward the 50 yard line. I do not care if other people move from one of their seats to a better seat once it's pretty clear nobody is coming to fill it. I'll worry about that once I start bumping elbows with everyone from the place selling out or even being more than 3/4 full maybe. We sell a lot of tickets. We don't put that many humans in those seats. For the life of me, with all the space I always see, I'm not sure why anyone who sat in someone else's seat would raise a concern vs. just moving to another unused seat but...people are dumb as sheep so...
