Coach said they weren't sure when it happened or what exact action caused it. Came to the sidelines after the touchdown and said his knee didn't feel right and that's when they theorized there may be a tear. He is one tough Trojan to just jog off the field with a torn ACL.

So they lost to NMSU last night, but in a close game. Looking at the stats, because I haven't been able to watch the game yet, my impression is they have a good throwing game but a weak pass defense. They also gave up 5 sacks and had 2 turnovers. If the stats are an accurate representation of how they play, we have a better than average chance of containing then, but defense really needs to step up to stop the passing game. Kaleb and/or Sawyer could have a field day throwing in this game. Their secondary has been an issue and seems to be the last area they have to fill with FBS level talent. If you believe the rumors that Barker will not be flying to VA (or anywhere else this season), Sawyer needs a lot of reps throwing the deep ball this week. Damion Willis is one of the most talented WRs I’ve ever seen in a Troy jersey and will be a weapon in this game. If he can touch the ball 9-12 times, we’ll be fine.

Hey guys! Liberty Fan here. Look forward to the game between our two schools. Just for clarification, we did have a loss away at Army and a blowout 40+ loss to North Texas in a crazy long game at home, due to weather. It was nice to beat UNM but having to turn around this week and go back to the elevation and heat in New Mexico to play NMSU, will be a test. We will be worn and you guys will be fresh, so a loss will more than likely be expected. I hope you all enjoy the game day atmosphere. My hopes for this game are that it's a great experience for the fans and players, no one gets injured, and the game is competitive. i.imgur.com/XmbIbh4.jpgi.imgur.com/6LPs8j2.jpgThanks for dropping by. As a Troy fan flying up, any places in Lynchburg that are a must try for lunch/dinner?

Our culture is still being changed from the end of the CLB era. I love the living legend as much as the next Trojan, but those last few years the culture of the team had gotten toxic and the results began to show proof. It takes multiple classes of guys to wash that out of a program. I hope Neal stays firm and fair.

The absence of our starter is particularly scary because one of Liberty's biggest weaknesses is their secondary play. But, now we have some extra days to sure up another arm, perhaps? Gunnar Watson?

I was just over at A Sea of Red (their message board) and their fans are certainly excited for it. Now with the thought of #7 potentially not making the trip, I am VERY nervous about this game. I board a flight to Lynchburg at 5:45 a.m. on Friday to do my part but we've got to get up for this one.

The look on Jordan's face when the reporters says "they knocked you off your high horse" is spot on. Had I been that dude, I would have left immediately. Haha.

Alright guys. Coming up on a week out from Regret at the Vet. I believe we'll be fine. These guys didn't forget how to play and coach overnight. I'm heading to Atlanta and I'm expecting a big win! Who is coming with me??? #OneTroy

Saw CLB in the concourse last night during the 4th quarter, which was a neat trick since he had obviously been on the sideline calling plays all game long. Bubble screens, run up the gut, quick slants, repeat. Felt like it was the old days. Plus side? No one is coming to steal CNB away any time soon.
In all honesty, I'm proud of the fans who, for the most part, stuck around and made noise until 00:00. I thought the defense did as well as any of us could expect given the horrible positions we kept putting them in.
Alas, I've eaten my crow this morning for breakfast, taken a couple tums, and started to get myself emotionally prepared for the trip to Atlanta.

I just hope folks will cheer. Every season I have to deal with being asked to sit down or cheer more quietly and it drives me nuts. We need a section for loud/standing fans so we can be free to make some real noise. #CardinalCrazies

One day, when he catches a one handed grab for the touchdown that beats App State and seals a Sun Belt division championship for us, we'll all think back to the dumb kid he was one night in Baton Rouge. Personally, I was lucky to have coaches, teacher, mentors, etc who used bad decisions of my youth to teach me and make me a better person. Personally, I think dismissal would be the wrong decision here. This kid doesn't deserve a season in Scooba for this. In Neal We Trust.

I agree with you. These mid-week tilts always kind of give me the chills. We've had record crowds the first couple of home stands but it's hard to match that kind of turn out for a Wednesday bout. If we can get 20+ thousand Troy fans in the building, I think the energy will be enough to help our defense overcome any jaguar trickeration.

What a game!! Still haven't been able to speak above a whisper but it's worth it. Anybody else concerned about a potential let down against South? I'm having eerie deja vu to when we became nationally ranked, were getting constant publicity for a week, and then messed the bed against Ark State.

I think this project plus the new Arena put us in a great position for athletic recruiting. I'm sure these kids are happy to see the school intends to invest and maintain.

My prediction is that this will be the game where the Silvers Bullet shakes off the last of the offseason rust and comes alive. 48-14, Men of Troy.
