I have to admit, planning for the Christmas holidays was easier with that previous coach. No worries about post-season. But, I would not change ONE. SINGLE. THING. about this season. I was able to attend 12 of 14 games, go onto the field twice to celebrate, spend time with my family and friends, and create memories to last a lifetime. Merry Christmas one and all!

Whatever the attendance ends up being will be double the number that CC would have had. The SBC comes out much better with this game in Troy, the suites alone will give them more profit than CC would have. Any idea what a suite sells for this game? I assume that SBC sets the price? $2K

I hope the holiday tomorrow does not discourage students from showing up. The school is closed tomorrow.

No bowl in Montgomery. In fact, that would be a punishment instead of a reward. As someone who works closely with the Camellia Bowl staff - they really do put on a great event for the players. As a fan you may not like it but, the players that have come through here have had great experiences.

Hang on to your hats because this will highly likely be an unpopular opinion but when I went to the Troy/USM game Saturday, I actually thought the band was considerably less loud than it has historically been. That aside, it has seemed that the SOTS has trended over the years away from its traditional identity and TBH into something that to me seems just like any other average and forgettable marching band. Now I don't in the least mean to disparage the band's members who work their butts off because I know how much they put into it. However, I have to be honest because at one time the SOTS was such a key part of my life and I can't just give platitudes that are phony when I really feel like someone should tell their leadership (really it is probably Troy University's high level leadership and not the band's), even if it won't change a thing and is horribly unpopular to say, that the direction the band has taken (or has been forced to take) is just....not good. Otherwise, all that everyone will do is blow smoke about how great it is, and it'll be like the Emperor's clothes - he'll just be walking around naked because nobody has the balls to speak up. Now I know that there are a lot more limitations on their time and what they do now because of various factors out of their control but I'm sitting here and honestly can't even remember what the tunes were for half-time. And had I blinked, I might have even missed it...as it seemed to be over just as quickly as it began. I know it was homecoming and there were some stuff taking up time for that but my sentiment isn't only about that one day. It used to be an equally primary thing that I attended games (pre and post game) for. Now, it seems as if it's the University's afterthought - not their pride as it once was. I'm sorry if this ruffles the feathers of anyone. I don't mean for it to and I do honestly hate to say these things but...I'd be lying if I said anything else. While I'm on it, I'm also personally pretty bored with some so-and-so getting trotted out there on the field to get a plaque every 5 minutes and during half-time. More band, less giving plaques to people I know nothing about and don't care about that I'm going to clap for rotely for 10 seconds while my attention is really on other things. Maybe I'm more like Frank Barone from Everybody Loves Raymond than I want to admit but...I really don't give a crap about recognizing all those folks and it seems like there's more and more and more of that at every game. So get off my lawn....LOL You are not wrong and not alone.

Can anyone confirm if we do in fact have bus loads of students coming. If so I feel like this crowd will be 60% to 40%. Hope we can make it feel like a home game like In 2016 I believe the Student Alumni Association has a bus and the SGA has a bus - the full band is attending with 8-10 buses, but additional buses were hard to come by. This has been an issue for a lot of groups this year. Most students will be on their own.

We may need an asterisk in the record books. What a scandal! π€ͺ If he can steal those tackles from KJ he still deserves them!

I've always said that if Troy is eligible, not locked in to a bowl by right of championship, and the Camelia Bowl has any pull at all within the room of Conference Committees picking SBC teams, Troy will be headed half an hour north during Bowl season. It would be the most well attended Camelia bowl in history and it wouldn't be close. Camellia Bowl is Dec. 27 Alabama will not be playing that day. And Troy has been on their radar since day one. A meet up with Jax State In Montgomery is another game they would want.

Be aware that there is quite a bit of construction behind the Stadium Tower. There may be fewer spaces.

I also remember in one of the late 90s playoff years (β95 or β98, maybe) portable aluminum bleachers were placed behind the North endzone to increase capacity for a playoff game. The place was PACKED. Somebody help me out. Was that the Ga Southern game in β95? Yeah and we lost by 3. We do not speak of that game. Ever.

This question was brought up at the Leadership Conference yesterday. Golf carts can be parked at Eldridge. Also handicap parking is available ona first come basis. Itβs limited this year due to construction.

Our group is called Trojan Generations as each family represented has more than one generation that attended Troy. My family has four. We usually have a theme for food/decor related to our opponent. For food and drink there are annual favorites of Bacon wrapped crackers, mini chicken and waffles, mimosa and Bloody Mary bar for Homecoming. We arrive early and watch Game Day. Flat T-Roy presides over the Festivities. Before we head to the stadium for pre-game shots of Fireball and Jack Fire are poured and we toast β To the School We Love.β

I think it may be an interesting choice - I know the Red Wolves were bad this year, but if you recall during the Corey Robinson years we put up monster numbers on offense but still had losing seasons due to the lack of defense. From 2012: The 721 yards is the most allowed by a Tennessee team in school history and the second most ever by Troy. In two games against SEC competition this season, the Trojans have accumulated 1,293 yards of total offense or 646.5 per game; Troy had 572 yards against Mississippi State. It's an out-of-the-box choice for sure.

If Jon Sumrall comes back, Iβd like for him to bring Josh Pruitt back with him. He is a Troy Alum, has AHC experience, could coach wide receivers.
