Great ... he'a s good young player. I'm ok with Defense dominating ... and they do pass the "eye" test more than the past few years. I recall "back in the day" our defense played us really tough in scrimmages ... partly because they were more familiar with our bone, and because they were really good! But, then, we'd go and average 4-500 yards a game during the season! Got to have good defense to win championships, etc. Also, I think the offense will be good as well. Some of the younger OL looked promising. (Kemp, Kelly, and looked like Hanner did well inside?) We should be able to have a rotation of 7-9 that can play! I know we're 5 months out ... but feeling optimistic! Go Troy!

It's been a while since "Troy Defense" and "Monster" were used in same sentence! But, let's hope that will be the case. Much improvement last year, so it would seem to be logical that the trend will continue! Haven't gotten to see for myself yet this Spring ... looking forward to T-Day!! Monster Defense!!

As an old alum, I have to tell you that the Sound is the one thing that returns me back to my college days. I can close my eyes and be back in the 70's all over again. I have ZERO musical talent so have a great appreciation for the efforts made by these young people who put in countless hours mastering their craft. Our Game Day Experience would not be the same at TROY if not for the SOTS. Their participation before, during and after games is a shear pleasure to enjoy. We are truly blessed to have them at our games, during football season as well as the pep-band during basketball season. Just ask the coaching staff what our band means to them..... I think we can ALL agree that Troy has the best band in the state, and that they (along with our alumni band at Homecoming) are a huge addition to our campus, to the student body, as well as to us supporters, fans and alumni!!! To any current or former SOTS musicians and supporting staff, I want to give you a special shout-out! Thank you one and all. GO SOTS and GO TROY! AMEN!! They add so much to the whole experience of being on campus! Funny, the first time I ever go to hear/see a half-time show was the first home game after I graduated ... since I was in the locker room during half time. Just amazing. Always knew they worked really hard. Then, my daughter's first roommate was in the band ... omg ... hours upon hours! Now, my niece is a majorette. They are all so committed! If anyone connected to the SOTS reads this ... I apologize if you've ever felt unappreciated, or I think maybe taken for granted! You guys are awesome. I can't imagine what it would be like to be at a game and not have the SOTS. Thank you all! GO SOTS and GO TROY!!

I don't know ... the Albany plan looks like something from early 70s ... cement and a bit tacky. Couldn't tell if there was shag in the boxes or not? Yes our design looks like other buildings on campus ... which I think is good. I think the b'ball arena is very nice ... epecially when lit up at night. So, don't mind the outside at all! Now, I do hope they have some nice entrance areas with "History" ... banners, etc.

13-0, we win the bowl game as well. Amen Brother!! As Coach and AD has said ... why can't we do something like Boise!! I love the New Orleans Bowl ... but why not go back to NO for a bowl that's a bit "Sweeter"!! Feel confident we'll see much improvement and more wins this season!

I like that we have those 3 consecutive home games in November. Best case scenario...8-4 Best case scenario is 12-0. High expectations = high results Love it! As a player, there was never a time when I walked on the field and didn't "Expect" to win!! One practice at a time, one play at a time, one game at a time ... that's how you build championship teams. I expect us to be better than last season. So, at a great Clemson team. Can we win ... yes. But if we don't, compete. Then, the rest of the schedule ... we should compete with everyone. If we compete, we can win. So, RTW ... high expectations and big time support for the Trojans! Excited to get started!

Whew...flashbacks to "Matroom" sessions in the basement of Sartain! I don't think I saw any "puke buckets" in this vid! I recall one year the whole session was just about 10 minutes or so...how hard could that be? Oh hell... I remember coach said "it's only 10 or 15 m8mutes" ... And big Ed Hughey leaned over and whispered..."yeah, but u can she in a second!" good times!

Thanks Mr. Ho! I really think the Banner idea is an absolute must!! I thought about this earlier in the month ... went to a couple of JSU playoff games. Noticed they had banners up for the few JSU NFL/CFL players (they even had their MLB guys up). Now, they had them just hanging under the stadium ... they don't have a nice plaza, etc that you've been advocating for us. But, I know that having many banners that we could put up ... that makes a powerful statement. Also, thought of your comments regarding our stadium when I was at the AHSAA championship game few weeks back at B-Denny. Went to to the restroom ... looked pretty much like ours ... and even smelled worse! Happy New Year All!!

Can we just stop this conversation! Again, just had a good day (signing some impressive players and more evidence that the new enthusiasm is continuing) ... so, no need to attack each other, or challenge another's commitment/contributions. Go Troy!!

Was Hemi a student athlete for Troy? No and neither was I. Neither were many of the donors who have helped fund this program. Again, I know nothing about TroyStet other than he played here which is awesome and I'm glad he is still involved because many former players are not and many could not care less if Troy wins or not, but to say anyone has done more than HemiMan is garbage. As a member of both 84 and 87 championship teams, I say to all who love/support Troy ... THANK YOU! Everyone plays a role! The athletes play a role ... and so do the students and fans in the stands. The member of SOTS ... coaches ... faculty/staff! Of course, I like to think our teams in the 80s help lay a foundation! But, without supporters/donors ... there wouldn't have been a team and wouldn't be one now. So, yes we all have different personalities and perspectives ... But anyone who sacrifices for Troy (whether blood/sweat as a player or time/resources as a supporter/donor ... or both!) deserves respect and has mine!! It may sound sappy ... but coming to play at Troy literally saved my life! So, this school is very special to me! As several of our coaches used to say at the beginning of practice (I remember Coach Maddox for sure) ..."It's a Great day to be Alive ... it's a Great day to be a Trojan!" Merry Christmas all! Go Troy!

I am becoming very impressed at the quality of recruiting that is going on. Someone's putting in some hours. I'm already getting excited about our future.! Agreed! It seems the new environment, excitement, and enthusiasm created by Coach Brown and the staff is paying off. I remember in his opening presser he said that if a kid came to campus, they could close the deal! Seems they're doing that. And, it's exciting to see who we're competing with for players ... and winning! If these sites are accurate, several of these kids chose Troy over P5 schools and, more commonly, CUSA (which is supposed to be a step up from the Belt)! Like Weatherspoon: he visits and commits to Troy, but then visits and is offered by MN and Cal ... and stick with Troy!! That's big time! Well done coaches ... keep up the good work!
