He mentioned an updated depth chart. Am I overlooking the new depth chart on the website, or has it yet to be posted? Wondering the same thing? If maybe if someone was there ... they could scan/post?

I love this ... it's great to build that "one team -- one family" idea. Obviously Coach Brown understands that in this day/age, you have to get out there and build that ... even on your own campus. In defense of LB or other coaches who might not have done something like this (and I don't recall Coaches Gailey or Rhoades doing this) ... it surely doesn't mean they weren't "first class". It's just a different time ... different mindset. I'm sure the earlier coaches expressed appreciation to the SOTS ... at pep rallies or homecoming, etc. Also, when a team is winning ... it's "assumed" the campus is with you. Coach Brown understands his first task is to get students on board. Like when he first go here and he went around campus introducing himself and inviting students to come support the team ... that's huge! I worked in politics ... it's amazing what a difference you can make by personally inviting someone to do something!! Again, just more evidence that Brown is the guy we needed to hire for this time! BTW ... love the SOTS!! Only bad thing about playing ... was not getting to watch the Band!! Thanks for all the time/effort you guys put into our University and the gameday experience!! Go Trojans!

Well, except for Clemson ... we should match up with all the teams on our schedule! We may not be "all the way" there ... but I like our chances against any/all of them. Yes, Ark St and Ga South have been good ... beating GS in Statesboro would be an upset. But I think we can win all of them. We played App St toe to toe ... no reason we can't take them at our place!! As far as Clemson ... it would take many things tipping in our favor ... maybe the really spank Auburn and overlook us (even more than I'm sure they already are)? Maybe it's raining and they have lots of turnovers, maybe that QB has a head cold/stomach ache/ingrown toenail and they hold him! I'm just reminded of what the APP ST qb said after beating Mich ... something like, "yeah, they have a really big school and stadium ... but it's Football, we've been playing all our lives!" Let's shock the world and get us a BCS bid!! I never played in a game I didn't EXPECT to Win!! Didn't win them all .. but winning starts as a state of mind!! First things first ... we better not overlook Austin Peay ... go take care of game #1. Ok ... i'm fired up for the season! Go Trojans!

Just got mine and they look like they were pulled out of the trash can. Packaging had holes in it and tix stuck in the glue. My apologies - I can assure you that they didn't leave our ticket office with holes punched in the envelope. Please take a quick photo and send to me - sastroud@troy.edu. Thanks- Steve You can tell they were put in envelopes that were too small. Looks like all were stuck to the adhesive.

Good potential ... lots of young, inexperienced players who have chance to be really good! If we can protect 12 ... we have chance to complete lots of passes! Crowder, Kirk, Gaston, Bradshaw are young O-Lineman that should be very good. Exciting speed: Valez, Frye, McCormick. Anyway ... lots to improve on ... but the tools are there. Defense looks to pick back up on last year's improvement. Looking forward to that first game!!! Go Troy!

So the end zone building could be ready for the Boise State game in 2018... What kind of new building will replace Sartain btw? I am curious. Did I read in an earlier post it's gonna be a new Rec/Fitness Center? Honestly, that's a big need for us as well. I advise transfer students ... I've heard them talk about how other schools have the really nice fitness/rec areas (passed AUM's the other day). So, we for sure need the Endzone facility!!! But, I think a fitness center could help boost enrollment ... and higher enrollment is good for everyone: more tuition, more alums, more donors (hopefully!), etc.

I think also, when u have guys who "fell through the cracks", they come in very hungry and with a (The HC we don’t speak of) on the shoulder...something to prove. I wouldn't be surprised if these guys step in and really contribute!

Excited for Game #1 ... ready to see how the team is shaping up. APP ST and/or ARK ST could be huge ... but depends on how we do in previous conference games. It would be great to have a couple home games late in the season ... with a Conference Title on the line!!

Sept 3 vs Austin Peay. It is designated Lettermans Day. Hope for a good turnout of former players. They will recognize the former players on the field and have a tailgate area. I will proudly be there. That sounds great ... have they made any kind of announcement or sent info? We (Troy Athletics) can certainly improve on communications and getting the little things correct.

Hi All,
I know this is last minute (I thought I posted something months ago, but apparently I didn't. Those concussions are coming home to roost! .
Many of you may remember Coach Brick Haley ... he coached for Troy in the 90s. Well, Brick and I grew up together in Gadsden and played HS ball together. (He was very close to joining me in Troy). Brick is a great Coach and a great friend. He has an autistic son and is very passionate about raising awareness about this condition.
This is the 3rd year he'll host a Golf Tourney here in Gadsden. As I said, I know it's last minute ... but of course any of you guys that are golfers ... get a foursome together and come on up to play Twin Bridges!!
If you can't make it to play this year, any donation or sponsorship would be much appreciated! There's always a lot a fun ... great food ... and lots of football memorabilia available for silent auction! (Big12, SEC, ACC, NFL, etc).
Again, sorry for late notice ... and thanks!
Go Troy!

Birmingham attendance was weak - disappointed venue and food choice was great Had couple reservations to attend, but got stuck in a meeting until 5:30 ... live about an hour away. I work at a Community College ... I see increasing interest in Troy U in the area. (several students transferring down ... including my son! So, as we return to winning ways in football, I think the overall footprint in N. AL will continue to grow.
