Ineffective because BYU prepared well, and read all of our predictive plays, was always one step ahead.
Yes the quick sand did not help, when you circle the drain it only gets faster, I know this first hand.
A well prepared (3 weeks to prepare) team out smarted us in all three phases.
Touché on them, vengeance will be ours 9/5/2026.

I'm hearing no fans allowed at game. I hope some of y'all haven't already started heading out to Utah. Could be worse I guess, ND cancelled their game. According to SBNATION, Utah moved into the Orange level of risk. Glad my trip didn’t work out. Short trip for me, but did not work out either...

So is the Palladium in play? Would add some interest to the home game, and would be great if we could get it back before going to App. They are taunting us on social media....so I'd say the answer is yes.

This. One hundred percent this. after almost 2 years, there will be some fading and there's no way to make the change without it ruining the aesthetic. In addition, it's a change for change sake and it's ugly. If I come up with more objections, I'll be sure to let you know. Cost. Just consider the cost of re painting/replacing turf, posters, banners, shirts around the conference. Just p!$$ poor timing. And they're laying off key employees in NoLa. 100%, sends a bad message to the public...while the schools are struggling to keep sports going financially...

Interesting to see at this point of the bowl season that the Big10, Big12, and SEC have not played a bowl yet they have 24 teams playing in a bowls. That means almost 20% of the teams in bowls came from just those 3 conferences. When you add the ACC, that goes to over 25% 78 total teams out of 130, or 60% of all the FBS teams went to a bowl. Of the 15 members of the ACC, 10 will appear in a bowl.

Excellent food for thought for potential portal transferee folk.
I'm curious to see what happens with Marcus Jones... will he be an impact player for Houston like he was at Troy?
You think a Troy player will get playing time under Holgorson...

If you read back over my posts, I said upgrade the family vacation with my Troy funds. Dude I have a Troy MBA and Mrs. TBB has a Masters from Troy... we can afford both. Adding my Troy money to the vacation fund could mean Disney in Paris instead of LA. .....and whats wrong with Disney in "Anaheim"...

I agree with your assessment completely! I don’t see my money going to this coach or staff. It’s going to the athletic program as a whole. That makes sense. How do you make the distinction? Tell the AD were you want it to go, each sport has a general fund, that the coach has discretion to use for, equipment, meals, uniforms, staff needs, pens, pencils, etc...

If my memory serves ... we start only ONE full-time starter back from last season ... Martial. #94 and #10 I believe may have started some? But even if we count them, that's only 3. Several Freshman and/or guys who haven't played a lot of football. So, it's pretty cool to see their progress and improvement! Yeah, but if they keep getting coached, keep progressing and, horror of horrors, get good, what will we complain about? The cups are good, concessions are improved, attendance is great, uniforms are cool...I guess we can complain about the quality of the t shirts sold at the game. Cheerleaders and their coach....

Those are all the political correct answers instead of the hard nosed truths that we all need to hear. Kind of like the fight I have on a daily basis with the girlfriend. Just rip off the band aid and let the sound heal up quicker. I don't think it's politically correct at all. I think it's 100% revealing. Since day one, the "we'll see what happens", "we're gonna try real hard", and the "I thought we were solid" after a loss, shows a real lack of depth. And by depth I mean that he's only looking at things from a surface level point of view as if things will just take care of themselves. There's no thought of building a program, and at this point that's what the main concern should be. Every snap should be an investment for the future. We're either getting better or we're not. The whole "our destiny is not our own" and "we'll just fight for each other on the field" is nonsense. The defense is the worst I've ever seen it, and I'm not sure Brandon Hall even exists. Dude is a ghost, we never even hear from him. What you all see if what he wants the public to hear....remember who else sees these....next weeks competitors, recruits, parents, administration, etc... Consider that what he thinks and says in private is not the same....

Is there a Red Wave logo? I know we had the TS logo during the time we were the Red Wave, but if there was a Red Wave logo (sort of like Tulane's Green Wave logo) that would be pretty cool. The Red Wave name was a tribute to the Crimson Tide....

After last years ESPN+ game with App, with total biased play by play, I have synchronized the voice of the great Barry McKnight while watching all ESPN+ broadcasts, only way to listen.
