New logo coming out for the Conference. Cannot wait to cut up that beautiful new turf for the install.
Sorta kinda got a solification. 20 yards of replacement turf to include Blake's name and a zipper around the new Sunbelt Logo to speed up the next LoGo change expidiciously and cost efficiency. I am not presenting this as an oldtomato, just an old man with a plan.

When you are bored you start doodling and drawing. So our new commish was sitting around and presto change-o we get a new logo! Have to do something to earn ones salary.

Looks like we combined with the SBA to get a group discount.

I think the trivial pursuit folks wanted their logo back or we had to pay to keep it. So it was cheaper to go with a new doodle

New logo coming out for the Conference. Cannot wait to cut up that beautiful new turf for the install. This. One hundred percent this. after almost 2 years, there will be some fading and there's no way to make the change without it ruining the aesthetic. In addition, it's a change for change sake and it's ugly. If I come up with more objections, I'll be sure to let you know.

Just consider the cost of re painting/replacing turf, posters, banners, shirts around the conference. Just p!$$ poor timing. And they're laying off key employees in NoLa.

Folks... calm down. Here's the whole story:
The Sun Belt Conference front office didn't decide to spend money on this new logo during the pandemic. The Sun Belt had already finished this re-branding initiative back in February at the latest... you just didn't know it because they hadn't publicly rolled it out yet. The universities had already known about it, and most of them were already putting it on their fields. South Alabama had the logo on their practice field back in March, and one of their beat writers posted a picture of it in late-March on Twitter before any fans even knew about it.

Stupid is, as stupid Does. Does not justify Troy Athletics spending mega MY buck$!!. Pandemic or no. We just "rebranded" 5/6 year ago. TOTAL waste of effort and resources. cornhole propose high level investigation into why we continue associate with this lack of conference resource and affiliation. make call tomorrow, woodford reservation source dry up weeks ago, not essential service, no?

What good is making a phone call and expressing your displeasure over a logo change going to do? The change is made, the money is spent. With all the people in the world wondering or not they're still going to have a job next month or where their next meal is coming from you're going to get your dander up over a change that has next to no bearing on Troy? This is an Old Man Yells at Cloud moment.

Looks like we combined with the SBA to get a group discount. It’s terrible looking. And why did they hire a company from Oregon with not semblance of connection to the league or its footprint? Makes sense to “shop local”, plenty of talent around.

What's the alternative, guys? Never make any branding changes for fear that you might make more branding changes in 5-6 years? That is a lifetime in the lifecycle of marketing. I get that this is a message board and stressing about the insignificant is in the DNA, but this is really making proverbial mountains out of proverbial South Alabama fan bases.
