The sad thing is... Folsom was starting to be considered a potential NFL player while he was at Troy. He made a lot of big plays here...
Then he transferred out, and his stats at Colorado State were nowhere near what he was doing at Troy.
I think had he stayed at Troy, he would've had a better senior season and it would've helped his NFL stock. Instead he went to a program that had an even worse record than Troy did this season.

Excellent food for thought for potential portal transferee folk.

Sawyer Smith would likely be our starting QB next season, and he'd have some crazy stats in this offense.
Now at Kentucky, Smith may never see another snap again, especially since Kentucky will get back their star QB next season from injury, on top of getting Joey Gatewood if he somehow gets cleared for eligibility.
I'm curious to see what happens with Marcus Jones... will he be an impact player for Houston like he was at Troy?

You think a Troy player will get playing time under Holgorson...

Tron wasn’t going to play at Troy. That bridge had been burned.

Don’t know about the impact Marcus will make, but he’s in tremendous shape right now.

Sawyer was not Kentucky’s starter at the end of this season. He was replaced with a WR convert who may start at QB next year.

Why can't we just close the door on these guys regardless of what happened and look towards the future. Reason the windshield is bigger than the rearview

Cut dead weight and keep going Or it could be because some of these young men were good guys, they made an impact playing for Troy, and as a smaller school we tend to take more interest in the players as individuals. I liked some of these guys - Marcus in particular, because he most certainly wasn't dead weight. I wish he'd found someplace better than Houston, though.

Hope our current players are paying attention!!

You won’t find a better young man, than Marcus Jones, anywhere.
