Anybody else listen? What I get out of it is...
Roughly quoting:
On defense... We thought we were good. I suppose we are not. We gotta address it. On Offense... There are a lot of positives but we need to score more points. Special Teams... Man we missed a field goal but I thought they were solid.
Just got to play better in all three phases to beat a good football team like Georgia State.
Turning the page to a really good Coastal Carolina team. We got our hands full.
5 games left and we don't control our destiny but there is a lot of opportunity to get some wins.
//end quoting
I gotta stop watching these things. It's like I know a kick in the n*** is bad but I keep asking for one.

(The HC we don’t speak of) was done with the possibility of a win the day they beat Tennessee. "Well they must be good. They beat a mighty SEC team". Aww shucks.

I like the question.. "What have you learned so far as a head coach?" rough quote: "You gotta be positive."

O' well I would say your statement is correct on what he said, its what he didn't say that gets me and that is "we need to do a lot better job coaching them up". (The HC we don’t speak of) I will give you a little advice, you are not going to go to sleep and wake up and its all better. Until you take responsibility for what is happening, the nightmares will continue. That just me saying!

I just see different reasons for the struggles than the chicken little reactors on here. But my response was on the offense to that phase struggling, it really isn’t, especially compared to last year.

WV would probably be glad to give him back. Haha! (And I would take him provided he comes with a good DC.)

Offense was more conservative under Neal. Sometimes it was pure game management (LSU) and sometimes it was just cause they couldn't get going (TX State). But the game management on offense is definitely different. Offense has struggled against good defenses, though, especially with the RB issue.

WV would probably be glad to give him back. Haha! (And I would take him provided he comes with a good DC.) Look, Neal had a rough first year at Troy. But, that year came with passion and excitement and ended on a positive note. If this season under this extraordinarily uninspiring HC and forgettable staff ends well I will be the first to admit I was wrong.

Neal was also taking over 3-9, 5-7, 6-6 and 3-9 ,a 2014 signing class that was all juco, no discipline and off the field problems. CL is taking over three 10 win seasons, one sun belt championship and three bowl victories

Hemi, Do you really believe the defensive talent is the same as it was last year for Troy program ? And nobody will ever say that DC Hall is on the same plane as DC VK was, so take that out of the equation. And these guys are still playing hard, that counts.

I don't know if some of you watched the same press conference I did but I saw a man who realizes the season is a bust. (The HC we don’t speak of) had no energy and just handed out generic answers. It's not inspiring me to stick it out for the season. He's not giving me hope that this is just a rut we're in and better days are ahead.

(The HC we don’t speak of) is a pretty good OC and a very good QB coach but he needs to be a HC as well. OFF is performing comparable to last year (despite BJ missing). Sometimes execution is a problem but overall offense is not the issue here. D has different issues, mostly due to lack of depth and too much youth. We just have to replace too many key players on D... still hoping for a 6-6 season and a bowl game. Something interesting is the low number of penalties overall, not sure if this is a good or a bad sign (discipline vs low aggressiveness). Anyways, we should all stop acting like bandwagon fans after just a few games. (The HC we don’t speak of) deserves a chance, give him some more time...I want to see some progress during second half of the season which should be a good indicator for next year's performance.

Those are all the political correct answers instead of the hard nosed truths that we all need to hear. Kind of like the fight I have on a daily basis with the girlfriend. Just rip off the band aid and let the sound heal up quicker. I don't think it's politically correct at all. I think it's 100% revealing. Since day one, the "we'll see what happens", "we're gonna try real hard", and the "I thought we were solid" after a loss, shows a real lack of depth. And by depth I mean that he's only looking at things from a surface level point of view as if things will just take care of themselves. There's no thought of building a program, and at this point that's what the main concern should be. Every snap should be an investment for the future. We're either getting better or we're not. The whole "our destiny is not our own" and "we'll just fight for each other on the field" is nonsense. The defense is the worst I've ever seen it, and I'm not sure Brandon Hall even exists. Dude is a ghost, we never even hear from him.
