We are all trojans here. The mentality of some is just something "power 5" universities don't have to deal with. I chose Troy because it was a smaller school over Virginia Tech and Tennessee. Best decision I ever made

I understand why we went Fbs. Wouldn't matter what level we are at to me though.I enjoy just going and supporting the teams. Some still have no respect for the school even many that are graduates sadly. If you think we are second rate, never darken the doors of our facilities or donate any money Shame on them. Honestly, do we have enough support/ financial muscle to go further? The sun belt is a good fit for us. Said before I was happy with us in fcs,but understand the move up and glad we are competitive. Troy has my full support has since I first enrolled in 89.

As for me...I hope the two Alabama based SEC programs lose every game, every year. And everyone who knows me knows I'm TROY only PERIOD, EXCLAMATION POINT Oh and I will cheer for SunBelt schools over all other conferences everytime. Sounds like you and me would go cheer Troy on if we were back in NAIA. Love my alma mater unconditonally

GA St. is not good. Trojans roll 52-10.
Admire the optimism but say that again when the panthers are in a bowl game. We can win this but it will be a struggle mark my words

Atlanta Trojan you mean to tell me you are more interested in Troy than Georgia Tech? What is the matter with you? This state is 60% Georgia 20% Ga Tech 10% Ga southern 10% something else < 1% odd balls who like a small program from the Southeast Alabama wiregrass?

How many Troy alums/ residents of the city/ pike county think this way? I'd follow Troy if we were playing Faulkner in a conference game. Just me I guess

Butt in seat, Coke and hotdog purchased. Welcome to Troy! Prepare to be amazed!
Best seat in the house is $25. You can actually go and root for your team as hard as an SEC fan and have it mean as much to you. Maybe my brain isn't wired right. I have no real stake in Al vs TN Saturday. I happen to work at the Auburn games and can care less if they win either. Maybe going to school at Troy taught me something after all!

We need as many as possible in Atlanta. Tickets can be had for $25. I call that a bargain. It is a short drive. Any seeing this who are going to Tuscaloosa to watch the Tide dismantle Tennessee instead? Shame on you. Newsflash, Troy has an athletic program and it needs to be supported with more than " we beat LSU that's nice" This is where the rubber meets the road.

Trojan TKE . I'm riding the Alumni bus up there from Opelika. This is going to be the biggest GSU Troy game yet. We need to leave Atlanta with the W as this game sets the tone for the rest of the year now.

My problem is the mentality of a lot of Troy alums. They see Troy football as an afterthought. I know many of them will attend whatever bowl game Alabama and Auburn goes to and not ours if we get eligible for one now. Same bunch who think the LSU win is just a fluke and just a way to dig at an SEC rival. I know a lot of them grew up rooting for the tide or tigers and few have degrees from Troy plus Alabama or Auburn but in the end you have to choose your loyalty. For those of you who think we can even compete in a bigger conference these folks are a big hurdle to that. I grew up in Virginia and am related to Frank Beamer. I'll still watch Tech on TV and like to see them win, but no way would I ever think of wearing VT apparel at a Troy game or go to a Tech bowl game even if Troy wasn't in one. Virginia Tech is not my alma mater plain and simple. Get behind your alma mater or your alma mater doesn't need you. How many of these will donate to Alabama or Auburn even in the form of a license tag and not think of giving Troy a penny?

Going to bowls every year helps the rest happen. Going to fbs has been good for the school as a whole get it I'm sold. That being said what ever level we are on we need 100 support. The revenue and exposure helps the main educational mission. All alums need to support this school otherwise you aren't a real trojan. I'm talking to you wishy washy alabama/ auburn gear wearing troy is not a real program people

I like college football in general. What hurts me are troy alums that see our team as not as important as Alabama or Auburn.I know they are out there. Go to jordan hare or byrant denny if you are in this group you are not welcome at the vet alum or not my two cents.

would you ever want to play wde in a bowl? If it ever happens, we'd find out where true fans stand. I'd go for troy over emory and henry if it ever came down to it

I'm for troy all the way. I'd go to games if we were naia and give my support regardless. We have some lukewarm alums that are tide and tiger fans first that's on them. As for me troy is first then d3 emory and henry dad's alma mater and 40 year fan

CLB, and his success, spoiled us and caused us (me included) to have unrealistic expectations for head coaching tenure at TROY. If we are successful, we will be in a constant state of program reconstruction because we will turn over coaching staff every 3-5 year. I don't like that, but it's reality.
Disagree. If we hired Campbell I think he would be successful and stay, same with Turk if we could bring him back to Troy. Doesn't have to be an alum, just a guy who wants to build something here long term. We could pay enough and have the right facilities for that scenario. Our expectations here should be to compete for the title and be bowl eligible every year. With our tradition, this is all possible long term.

I think we only have one NFL prospect on offense and that's a guess (not sure what the scouts look for). Pros on Chun- great short yardage back, catches the ball well, decent doeee for size. Cons- injuries, some fumble issues, decent speed. Chunn got run down on that 74 yarder even though you could have driven a Mack Truck through the hole. Given LSU has a lot of speed. He is a quality back at this level that will get a look from the NFL. Silvers will also get an opportunity Don't believe Silvers will. Maybe invited to camp but that's it. No comparison in the throwing accuracy between him and Levi Levi was the best I've seen in my era. I thought he could have stuck in the NFL at least as a backup. He also played in Canada. Good to see he is back as a GA.

I’m all for finding the best man for the job when Neal moves on. If he’s a Troy guy great it not that’s great. Im not concerned with his loyalty to Troy. It’s all about how he produces on the field. I'm not a Trojan because of wins and losses.
I want a guy that stays here at least a decade. Brown is a good coach, but be honest, this is a stepping stone job to him
The administration burned some bridges with him. They didn't even give him the courtesy of telling him to go fly a kite. Turk is a winner, a leader and was also one of the greatest recruiters Troy ever had. Too many people on this board just looked down on Turk and would never give him a chance. I can tell you one thing having played with him, he is one of the finest men I've ever been around
To hear that is upsetting. The man is a legend at this institution. He could win a national championship at Huntingdon as well.
