Wow, already played 6 games and we are 5-1!.
My 2c:
Coaching: CNB is mostly managing our games, limiting turnovers, milking the clock, etc - sometimes frustrasting for fans but probably necessary. I think with Barker now more comfortable and able to run our offense this will change soon. Suspensions (offense): What's going on there? First, Henderson and Samuel and now Letton suspended? Letton? Don't know why but maybe CNB is just too strict...(?)
Offense: Finally offense clicked and then Barker had to leave the game. S.Smith needed the reps, of course, he couldn't replace Barker right away (Barker now has way more game experience). The final TD pass was really important for Smith and his development. I think we still rely too much on QB running and RBs but we should utilize our WRs more. It took Sawyer Smith some time to connect with the WRs. We absolutely cannot turn the ball over on downs (4th&Goal!), there is no excuse for this. Way too many holding penalties!!!
Defense: Fireants everywhere! Yesterday, a very solid performance minus some plays in the second half (secondary needs to be more focused). I think T.Murray, Reese, Hayes, etc will make sure that we won't lose too many games this year. And how about T.Murray? Really outstanding development, he'll be a defensive star for us soon!
Special teams: Overall pretty good.

In the long run (and I mean long run of his career) a coach lives with his decisions and actions. My wife is a teacher and just like a coach the rules set early and enforced equally leads to better outcome by the masses. I don't think a fair coach with firm and solid rules who understands that they as anything in life should be adjudicated one at time will ever have as many problems as others who do not follow that rule. So long and short of that is no Neal is not to strident or firm.

Re: suspensions -CNB brings a level of discipline we were lacking for a long time, so very grateful for that. He also gives second chances and lets players earn back their privilege to play. Henderson is disappointing but not surprising. Hopefully he's learning a life lesson that will help him later. Same with the others. Hopefully they get something from the discipline.
Troy football is just fun right now. A little frustrating at times, but fun. Really impressed with how Barker has matured into his role. Would love to see him sling it a little more, though. He's a great runner but I cringe sometimes when he takes off and yell at the screen "don't get hurt!"

Our culture is still being changed from the end of the CLB era. I love the living legend as much as the next Trojan, but those last few years the culture of the team had gotten toxic and the results began to show proof. It takes multiple classes of guys to wash that out of a program. I hope Neal stays firm and fair.

Out of 85 scholarship guys you are going to have a few that aren’t good teammates, poison the locker room, or fail to live up to the expectations of the coaching staff.

Out of 85 scholarship guys you are going to have a few that aren’t good teammates, poison the locker room, or fail to live up to the expectations of the coaching staff. Good afternoon Troy fans. Hope you don't mind if I join the conversation. Great game last night. I've been watching you all season and check your message board at least once a week. Improvement from Barker from 1st game to last night is outstanding. Repetition brings confidence. Hope he is OK and doesn't miss any time. I thought the defense was flying around alot more than the 1st game. Actually really glad we played the 1st game of the season and not later. As far as the suspensions go, from what I have read and heard about Coach Brown, I think he know exactly where he wants to take Troy football and what it takes to get there. We as fans have no idea what goes on behind closed doors between coaches and players. Players are given scholarships and expected and held to the highest standards of the University. They are told what is expected of them when accepting and 99% take advantage of this gift and live up to them. I know kids will be kids, but these are opportunities that may only come around once in a lifetime, 4 or 5 yrs paid college tuition, a degree and a chance to play football( or any other sport for that matter)and a solid step forward in life. I know here at BSU Coach Pete and Coach Harsin have dismissed players who did not live up to our standards. They went on to other universities and had great careers(Lee Hightower at Houston, Mat Boeson at TCU).Sometimes these kids need a change, learn, and move forward and sometimes they don't. As I said earlier, I believe Coach Brown knows exactly what it will take to get the Trojans where he wants and expects them to be in the shortest amount of time. I hope you don't mind my interjections as these are just my own opinions. Continued success...

Sometimes we just like to throw stuff at each other and behave like chimps. I have to say after the past two years, I am a Bronco fan. I admire your program and I think we are on the right path to be like you. One day... we will take the pebble from your hand and it will be time for us to leave.

Hey 5-1 is great. We are a different team than the one that played in week 1. I should have listened to coach when he said we would be a great team, but maybe not in week 1. So now the real work begins with the heart and soul of the SunBelt conference. Nothing but killers left on our schedule.

Everything is going well right now with this team. I only have two concerns 1) we get out to a lead and then go into "try not to lose" mode. We have only been behind in one game...Boise and we couldn't keep up. 2) we have only seen one true passing attack...Boise, and we didn't defend it very well. Not sure if we see another passing attack but we haven't been tested in that area since week 1.
Liberty will not be a push over, neither will GA Southern and App St. We have a definite shot at 11-1 or more realistic 10-2. We still haven't played 4 quarters of offense yet so looking forward to see how we do in a shoot out and how this team will respond if they get behind a couple of scores

Why would any TROY Fan EVER want us to trail in a game. 🤔 I want the team to come out of the tunnel dominating and never look back

He should retired on top after one of the Bowl wins
