Although we the fans can celebrate forever, the team has officially turned their focus to South. I'm worried about their offense, with Vincent quitting / being fire / resigning / retiring, we only have one game film to look at the interim OC. I'm guessing they will use every possible gimmick and trick play they can draw in the sand. I'll take our staff and players over theirs any day, I'm just a little un-nerved over their uncertainty and the fact they got a couple extra days (like us) to come up with new gimmicks. I picture 11 skill players on the field at the same time with no line kinda junk!

I agree with you. These mid-week tilts always kind of give me the chills. We've had record crowds the first couple of home stands but it's hard to match that kind of turn out for a Wednesday bout. If we can get 20+ thousand Troy fans in the building, I think the energy will be enough to help our defense overcome any jaguar trickeration.

24 hour rule should be extended for a win like this but I'm sure even yesterday all focus is on those Jags..... That's really an ugly animal when you think about it 🤢🤢🤢

Exactly what NB said in tweet this morning. Glad we aren't playing this weekend... gave a couple more days to enjoy it and take advantage of good press!

DT cant remember. Have I explained lately just how much I hate South and their delusional fan base? Remind me because I sure could use a refresher myself.

Anyone that isn't planning on attending Wednesday's game should put their tickets in the hands of people that can make it. There's time now to mail or deliver them to anyone that can make the game.

I'll be there, Hemi, and my voice is already back at 100%. Thats worth at least ten hand sitters.

I doubt we will have close to same numbers (I'm thinking 18-20k), but i bet it will be louder in the vet than the past 2 home games.
Like CNB said, i am glad we have an extra few days and that it is South that we are playing.

In my opinion there's a much bigger buzz from beating LSU than there was being number 25 last year. Couple that with an in state rivalry and I dare to dream of a number near 25,000.

I'll be there for the first time this year. Got some down in the lower section on the home side.

I just hope folks will cheer. Every season I have to deal with being asked to sit down or cheer more quietly and it drives me nuts. We need a section for loud/standing fans so we can be free to make some real noise. #CardinalCrazies

South is bringing a couple of buses of students, but it won't be anywhere near the number we took down their last year.
Their fan base is full of doom and gloom right now, so I don't know how many will make the trip on a week night. I think, if marketed right, there could be close to 25K in the stands. If South was any good, we could be approaching the first two games.
WE MUST BE LOUD AND PROUD FOR FOUR QUARTERS. If I could bottle up the energy the Trojan faithful had in Baton Rogue (especially after nailing that FG at the end of the half) we would never have to worry about hand sitters every again.

Is there any sort of "appreciation day" for this game?

South is 1-4 now and should be 1-5 when coming to play us. Being a rivalry, we can throw that out. However.... If we play "Big Boy Football", the tech squad should check to see if our scoreboard can handle the number of points we are going to put up.

I will say, if the O-line and Defense continue to play with the same level of dominance as Saturday in Baton Rouge, the rest of this season will be fun to watch. It all starts with South. One game at a time to an 11-1 regular season. And maybe if the stars line up just right, a bigger bowl game at the end of the season.

Will do. Here's the thing. We might see new faces at the game this weekend. If you see somebody wearing some other team's gear, let's just welcome them.
