Still hoping for a Cent FL stop some day. I know it won't happen but it woukd be nice. Closest one is a 5-6 hour drive and even farther for a group we have in Tampa. I know of ten former players just from my group in Tampa along with several more alumni in this area.

JUST an observation! Some fans are going to travel a couple of hours midweek IF they want to be part of Trojan Tour ’16.
Trojan Tour ’13 – 9 cities and 3 states Trojan Tour ’14 – 11 cites and 3 states Trojan Tour ’15 – 10 cities and 2 states
Trojan Tour ’16 – 7 cities and 2 states Troy (third year) Birmingham (all four years) Greenville (all four years) Montgomery (all four years) Dothan (all four years) Pensacola (third year plus a year in Navarre) Ft. Walton Beach (second year plus a year in Destin)
Footprint is getting SMALLER. Notice some of the areas dropped from this year’s tour:
North Alabama (Huntsville one year & Florence two years) Atlanta (two years) Columbus, Georgia (two years, plus Opelika one year) Mobile (three years)

Changes likely driven by turnout? Trojan Tour aimed at ticket holders and potential ticket holders?

Changes likely driven by turnout? Trojan Tour aimed at ticket holders and potential ticket holders? I agree about turn out! Hopefully the venue change in Birmingham will help increase attendance this year. I guess our North Alabama folks will just have to make plans to come down and spend the night...we will get the guest bedrooms ready :-)

Just a thought but I know here with UF and FSU the coach makes a stop here and plays golf and gives a talk. Ocala is the size of Dothan but the county is over 300,000 and the turnout is great. Wonder if some golf outings would help? Just a thought. I know they do a tournament but maybe some golf outings in Montgomery area and Panhandle??

Thanks for everyone's interest in this year's Trojan Tour. There are two variables that determined our locations this year: available dates and previous attendance. For most of this year's locations, we're planning on having 5+ head coaches (Coaches Brown, Cunningham, and Rigby are planning to attend each event; Coach Smartt is trying to make them all, and many additional head coaches are scheduled to attend). Scheduling the coaches + Barry McKnight + Jeremy McClain means we have a pretty small window. That means fewer events where we know we can count on at least 50+ in attendance (and, for most, 125+ in attendance).
We've paired the Trojan Tour with the Alumni Chapter's golf tournament in Greenville and attendance has certainly been helped. Timing didn't work out for Pensacola and Fort Walton; Montgomery's golf tourney is later in the year.
We'd love to expand into central Florida in the future, as it is also a target area for campus enrollment. We'd likely begin by pairing up with an Alumni or Admissions event going on in the area, as our current season ticket holder / Trojan Warrior Fund base in that area is weak. Best way to get a new Trojan Tour event is to make sure we have Trojan Warrior Fund donors and/or season ticket holders in the area! Me and my staff, though, are available to come to central Florida... if we could get a dozen former players and fans together, I'd be happy to make the trip.
And thanks to Guardian Credit Union for their sponsorship. We've cut our prices in half this year - $5 for lunch, $10 for dinner - due to their involvement.
Hope everyone here is able to attend - and please, bring your friends! There is no where else you can personally interact with so many of our coaches and staff in such an easy-going atmosphere. If you're a part of the Troy Family, you need to attend.
Thanks--- Steve Stroud Troy Athletics

Birmingham attendance was weak - disappointed venue and food choice was great Some of that to be expected. Winning builds excitement and unfortunately our big sports at Troy have been disapointing the last few years. Football hasn't had a winning season since 2010, Basketball since 2010, baseball has been up and down but the last three seasons have been below Troy standards. We are headed in the right direction but fans are frustrated and angry. There was some frustrations showed at our Tampa gathering by a few former players I actually hadn't met. Everyone wants Troy to win, some I guess just lose interest when they don't.

Heck, it's EASY to be a fan when you win, look at all the Alabama shirts out there and most never went there. You find your real fans are those who stick around in the tough times.

As far as the Bama shirts, do you think there would be that many if they didn't win? All the world loves a winner. I'll always love my school no matter what but it is sure tougher when they lose and a whole lot more fun when they win ? Sadly Troy isn't the Chicago Cubs who will have fans no matter what. The average Troy fan sadly won't support her during the bad years and many will never come back. I get so sick of seeing pictures of classmates on Facebook at Bama, Auburn, UF, Miami, FSU games and wearing their gear. Where is your loyalty???

Excellent event in Dothan!!! We have some fired up and ready to work people on staff at Troy! Glad to hear it! I am disappointed that we missed it. We had RSVPed to come but two of our three were sick and did not want to make anyone else sick. This is the first time we have ever missed the Dothan stop, but I am glad to hear it was good!

Birmingham attendance was weak - disappointed venue and food choice was great Had couple reservations to attend, but got stuck in a meeting until 5:30 ... live about an hour away. I work at a Community College ... I see increasing interest in Troy U in the area. (several students transferring down ... including my son! So, as we return to winning ways in football, I think the overall footprint in N. AL will continue to grow.
