Wish I could be there! We need to play well. South is a very dangerous team ... lots of talent/weapons! I'm looking for us to get off to a quick start ... that means our confidence will increase and their doubts will grow! Then, we place boot on neck and FINISH them!! Go Troy!!!

Heard the Whitney Houston song on way to work this morning and reminded me of this video. Dug it out. Love watching this!! Gives me chills and makes me smile! Can't believe this was almost 30 years ago!!

My thought is ... we're a DI institution, shouldn't we be able to get someone who's obviously done this before? We're still struggling for a "professional" In-game experience: timing, announcer of course, music on top of the band most of the night. Just awkward ... amateurish overall. I know one of the Strategic plans is to work on this ... so here's hoping they will.

Oh my goodness...this will be a special year. I've been thinking that since watching the player video because of 1 word...BELIEF! BELIEF in each other! BELIEF in the coaching staff! BELIEF in their potential! I agree!! That's huge! They talked about loving each other ... having each other's back, etc.! Gotta love that! Leadership is key!

USM was suppose to be the 2nd most difficult team on our schedule this year. Any regular season loss from here would be a disappointment. 11-1 or bust! We can certainly play with/beat any team remaining on our schedule ... if we prepare and play well! Also, I think every team on our schedule is capable of playing with/beating us! That's conference play. We have to be ready to go every week!! I do think the USM game was a big hurdle. Not just because they're a good team ... but especially because it came after a really tough/emotional game at Clemson. So, hopefully (and it appears to be so) the coaches have set an example of taking one game at a time ... take care of business this week!!! Looking forward to Saturday ... hopefully we'll have a great/loud crowd!!

Gnonkonde might be out depending on how long it takes to get over what I heard was a thigh sprain of some kind. I wondered what happen to him! One thing ... it was a "hustle" injury. He pulled up after running about 70 yards trying to catch that running back! Gotta love the hustle! Hopefully he'll heal quickly. Looked like they moved 94 over to anchor the end? ... did a good job.

Great Win!! Lots of room for improvement ... but amazing mental, emotional, and physical toughness these past two weeks! Get home, get rested, and let's get ready beat some Sun Belt folks! Proud to be a Trojan!!

Yeah ... thought we got him at least once. We certainly made him a bit uncomfortable. Of course, with Watson ... he might be more dangerous when he's flushed out. I haven't been able to read a lot about SMiss ... I know they have a really good QB, but he is he a runner also?

I like it ... anything that generates excitement and gets the fans involved! Again, things like, "and there's another, "Trojan ... First Down" or that pass falls, in-com-plete, etc. They may be corny ... but it got the fans involved. We don't have to use those, but something like that.

And if we play as well the rest of the way (maybe with just a few less penalties) we should not lose again this season! Can you guys and gals imagine 11-1 regular season with a bowl win to push us to 12-1? Yeah I am dreaming big again. I told several people I would wait until after this game as a litmus test for where we are as a program. No matter where we end up record wise 11-1 or 7-5 this season feels special because we are being reestablished as a force to be reckoned with. Thank you Neal Brown and staff for bringing the glory back to TROY TROJAN football. Yeah, we have to take it one week at a time. Look at USA ... go from biggest win in program history against a pretty good SEC opponent, but then spanked by conference foe, GSouthern. But, as I mentioned on earlier post ... we certainly can compete against every team on our schedule! Go Troy!

It was an oh Shi# moment for an ACC crew and they fixed a big problem for the conference like they have been trained to do. Right in front of us. Before I saw 44 come out with ball, saw ref raise hand and start moving in to mark ball..calling forward progress..but don't remember hearing him blow whistle. But when I saw replay, ball was out. Live I thought Jr stripped it, but it was out before u hear whistle in replay. Big chance there.

I'm not trolling when I ask this: what was the deal with the fumble call? The refs said they blew the play dead before the ball came out. I must have watched the play 10 times online and I swear I never heard a whistle until Troy recovered and was 10 yards down the field. Was this a case of a ref waiting for the other guy to blow the play dead? Did someone forget? I don't know what happened. It was an oh Shi# moment for an ACC crew and they fixed a big problem for the conference like they have been trained to do.

Heroic effort by the boys! I wanted to see our team compete again ... and man, they did compete!! Defense was outstanding the whole game! And, remember ... that was the Clemson offense. At least two of the TD passes for Clemson were just amazing plays by great players. Hats off to them. But, for most part ... they had to earn every inch!! Very proud of the guys. Yes, Offense struggled. And, again ... that was the Clemson Defense! Don't be surprised if their entire front 7 ... and probably they backups also ... have their names called in 1st few rounds of an NFL draft! I'm proud of the O-line. Especially the center. That was his 2nd game to play the position. Did he make mistakes ... yes. Was he over matched ... yes. But he kept fighting. So, as a team, we had a chance to win at the end AT Clemson. If you'd had told me that would happen a few months ago ... I would've taken it for sure. Love what Neal says though ... this needs to be a building block ... not an accomplishment!! As far as I know, we got out healthy ... hope we can bounce back, bean Sou. Miss. (I think that would be huge for us and the Sun Belt) and then get to what counts: Conference Championship!! Clemson: Gotta say, Clemson folks were very nice. Many people welcoming us to Clemson. Even when they were frustrated by the result, very complementary of Troy! Also, football games shouldn't be played with it's over 96 degrees!! Awful. I don't see how there weren't more heat issues! Go Trojans!!

I'm from Sarasota Florida, a very culturally diversified city with some of the top ranked beaches in the world. I came to Troy as a student 26 years ago and fell in love with it. I love the small town atmosphere, so much so that when I graduated from Troy that I had to down size and move to a little town called Highland Home...Don't laugh...We have a IT DON"T MATTER RESTRAUNT! Point is believe it or not there are thousands and thousands of people living in huge cities that would love to live or at least spend a few days in a friendly, laid back small town in Alabama called Troy Highland Home! Home of Robert Carter ... great running back for us in the 80s, and a great guy!!!

I agree with everything folks have said ... let's compete, learn, stay healthy, etc. But, go to WIN. Just saw a snip of USA postgame after they beat MSU. To paraphrase one player: "The public has been programed to believe they're supposed to beat us just because they have 3 letters on their jersey (insert ACC for SEC!). Well, they still have to go on that field and beat me ... and beat my teammates!!!" Love that attitude!! NO pressure on us ... all on them!! Play loose ... have fun ... "roll the dice"!! Make them beat you!! If you lose ... well, it was what everyone "predicted" ... but, if something else happens ... man, what a story to tell!! Want to get back to the "anyone, anytime, anywhere" attitude!!! Yes, Clemson is more talented than us "and MSU" ... but most "Talented" team doesn't always win!! Fire up!! Go Trojans!!

I'm assuming you guys are talking about the PA announcer at the game? If so, he was not the same one we have had all these years and I thought he was excellent. I agree he made some mistakes BUT he was not trying to be a cheerleader like the other dude always did. New guy was announcing the game as the position calls for. I liked it and hope he comes back. I know a lot about Troy but I've never known who the mysterious voices were behind the mic. I think if there are 80,000 or 100,000 crazed fans in the stands, you might be able to have an announcer just say "Chunn, at right tackle" and that's basically it. But with game situations like ours ... you've got to "assist" the enthusiasm/crowd noise, etc. Whether it's the announcer saying, "let that dEfense hearya" ... or something like that ... or it's electronic/music ... or a combination. We've got to improve the quality of the product, and help pick up the crowd, etc. It's just like having the band play at certain times to help the atmosphere. When you go to other schools ... there's a much better production. We really struggle with "little things" ... pronouncing our own names correctly, knowing basic football terminology, timing in announcements, etc. And omg ... when we were on the field at halftime and they did the "video montage" for the 2001 team ... and it's just still shots and AC/DC playing!! That's awful!! They did the same thing for the last couple of Hall of Fame inductions! Not, if that were the 1901 team ... ok, maybe there wasn't a great deal of video to choose from ... but 2001!!! It was so bad, it was awkward!!! These are things that don't take big money!! You can get some 20 somethings who know video/music ... and they could coordinate our entire game presentation and make it seem more professional! So, as much as I'd love to say we've got a rabid and knowledgable fan base and our game day atmosphere will be electric without any "assistance" ... i just ain't so! There needs to be more and better coordinated Production quality!! It is Entertainment $$$ we're fighting for as well!
