I'm curious if anyone has any natural light (and I don't mean the beer) photos of the field. This one in particular has been edited to add extra saturation and contrast.

Interesting. Says he was at GS and then Iowa Western C.C. He is a high school class of 2018, which means he was a freshman at GS in 2018. So yeah I guess he was at IWCC for a semester for academics maybe? Unless I'm reading that wrong, that would be a loophole to not have to sit out a year, since he did play at GS in 2018. He's a 2020 commit, right? I've been getting those confused this year for some reason. My bad, haha.

Played sparingly for Georgia Southern. Has an offer from Iowa State. Can't find any JUCO stats though. May not have played much in JUCO or was injured. If he played last year for Georgia Southern he wouldn't have any stats yet for JUCO. He would be playing there this fall, right? Interesting. Says he was at GS and then Iowa Western C.C. I believe booms are coming - pretty sure chase little is committed heard about a 4* by ESPN or something out of Atlanta - Defensive side I think another couple of kids too Good news ahead and Coach (The HC we don’t speak of) is recruiting - hard - and it is showing Saw another long Juco WR ... Marcus Rogers. Played sparingly for Georgia Southern. Has an offer from Iowa State. Can't find any JUCO stats though. May not have played much in JUCO or was injured.

They're dropping some teasers on Twitter ... at least 4 new commits in last 4 days! It looks like one is Chase Little, a 3* OT from Montgomery. Any word on the others? Doc, I was just about to post this same message. Seen a lot of "booms", but no news...

His twitter said he may have been transferring because of family related issues. If that is the case, why are the 200+ other waivers applied for this offseason granted and his not? I had a feeling this was going to be the case. The NCAA is much more likely to grant a P5 to P5 transfer immediate eligibility, and often for reasons that are questionable at best.

Smith has been selected as the preseason Offensive Player of the Year! Congrats B.J.! High expectations for the young man.

The big time running back we got a commit from earlier was touted as an "elite running back" by some P5 writers. This guy, Von Hill, is being regarded as a "mega recruit". I don't like what's happening to our defense, but it appears (The HC we don’t speak of) has the ability to get some big time players to play for us. It's likely the guys choosing to leave just don't jive with (The HC we don’t speak of) / Brandon like they did Neal / Vic.

If Kaleb picks up where he left off they wont know what hit em. New system, new receivers, new OC. Without Sawyer as a backup, there's no guarantee (The HC we don’t speak of) will let Kaleb run wild like Matt Moore did. His ability to run was a huge part of his success.

It would not surprise me to lose this game. We lost a lot of defensive production to graduation and the transfer portal. We're also breaking in a new DC that has far less experience than what Vic had. I'm not sure what the buy in is on defense this year, considering a lot of good players are deciding to go somewhere else. We'll see what happens, I guess.

Quick count of the roster (though I'm not great at "higher math") ... we have 104 showing. Looks like all of out 2019 class is in the fold! Also, a few names I haven't seen/heard. DT Malik Pertee (Ocala), Corner Tye Puncey (Pinson Valley), and what looks like a grad transfer from Southern Miss ... WR Reid Rials? Don't remember hearing their names. As far as state of program, I have the preseason optimism! Won't be able to lean on Defense as much as we did last 3 years, at least not at first. Very talented defense ... but young in places. If they can continue to turn teams over ... then I believe we could have our best Offense in years! So, we might have to outscore folks some! Not good for the heart ... but could be exciting. We will be good enough to win every game. But, we might drop a couple on the road ... if we lose turnover battle. 10 wins at least! Go Trojans Malik had some decent FBS offers: Toledo, Ohio, Georgia Southern, Bowling Green, Georgia State, and South Alabama. Might not be a star guy, but he's an FBS caliber player most likely. n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2019/malik-pertee-191677#school-interestsLooks like Reid was an all state quarterback for Satsuma. Dual threat guy. Does not appear he registered any stats for Southern Miss. He may be a holder for us.

One photo above makes it look like they went around the mid-field logo. Are they saving that for something? No doubt that will be at someone's house in the athletic department It's bigger than it looks.

Theodore Jackson's rating doesn't make much sense to me. He's got offers from 3 or 4 other reputable G5 programs...

I thought the link copied when I posted this but now it’s gone. The computer image had cardinal endzones and the power “T” at midfield. I believe the tweet was deleted.

I’ve been informed we will have turf on the field this season. Hopefully it's all brown. With white lines and lettering of course.

Note ... this is not the final design for the field. I heard something about the Sun Belt pod system going away.

How about green? I am sure the technology in turf building has progressed. I cannot forget the last time we had colored endzones, they turned pink. There "they turn pink" excuse isn't valid. Plenty of other FBS programs have red or black endzones and they make it work.

As far as unique pieces of memorabilia go, I have a slice of the "turf" they used to line the new field. Some pieces fell out into the road when they were laying it in 2012. I grabbed a small slice. I don't know, but I've told.....there is going to be new turf put in this summer. Colored endzones, please.

Having seen the renderings and having seen the actual product quality the company actually produces, you may be disappointed. But it's still a piece of Troy memorabilia, so there's that. I'm hoping it's quality. The renderings looked as if they just put a photo of the endzone on a 3D rendering. As you said though, it's still a piece of Troy memorabilia. I've got a lot of years with very little memorabilia. And a replica stadium is something I never thought I'd see. That's exactly what they did. It's all good though. Neal had more transfer out of Troy to my knowledge when he arrived four years ago. He turned out to be alright. Yep a WHOLE lot of guys did not fit Neal’s way and I am assuming the same thing is happening now at WVU but hey do we really care what goes on there? I will watch their progress but T R O Y!!!! Yeah. I mean, Troy football will be 95% of my sports concern in the fall. I will watch a few WVU games though, as I have no hard feelings for Neal and Co., and I believe he will do for WVU what he has done for us.
