www.njcaa.org/sports/fball/2019-20/releases/OPOTYMaybe this turns into the sleeper signing of the class, or maybe just quality depth? Either way nice award. 15 TD’s to just 1 Int to finish the year caught my attention. Really hoping we’re able to bring in some Juco guys on the other side of the ball that are able to contribute immediately. We need to get this kid SIGNED Wednesday. Don't want other programs getting any ideas.

Wow! Way to go (The HC we don’t speak of)! Hiring Sajason Finley should've never happened in the first place. The guy doesn't know what he's doing. If Southern Miss fired him because of lack of results, then (The HC we don’t speak of) should've never gone after him either. I was worried Finley would ruin the strength/conditioning program. Glad he's being replaced. There was a definite difference in our players strength and fitness this season, and it was obvious... in a bad way. Heâs a big part of the culture problem. I'd like to know a little more about his role in this.

Awesome. I've said we've needed this all year and was suspicious early on after finding out Finley was fired from Southern Miss.

Hopefully we can get most, if not all of them in the early signing period. I'm still worried about the lack of defensive recruits. I feel like I know where (The HC we don’t speak of)'s recruiting priorities lie.

Not sure, but you can almost bet there will more. We are seven days into the offseason, with 240 to go. A lot of things can, and will, happen during that time. Please inform us the reasonings these players would wait ? One would calculate if you plan to exit you would want to enter as quickly as possible so you can get on campus as soon as possible. And with the early signing period right around the corner you would need to get out there and exposed. If you come back with “ I dont know “ we can deduce that your prediction is just a wild a$$ guess and your just blowing smoke. You stated your willing to bet on it. Lol no need to be so spicy bro. If you look at previous years, not every one transfers at the same time. I suspect we'll see a few more transfer out before its all said and done.

For all the bandwagon fans that predicted a mass exodus of players from Troy entering the transfer portal, do you know when this will occur ? Not sure, but you can almost bet there will more. We are seven days into the offseason, with 240 to go. A lot of things can, and will, happen during that time.

F.... a bad F IMO I thought with this team the worse he could do is 7-5 and I’d have given him a D for that alone. 7-5 would have been acceptable given the departures via graduation, the portal, and injuries, so long as the defense made considerable strides throughout the year. We didn't go 7-5, and the bright flashes we saw on defense are heavily skewed by the complete offensive ineptitudes of several of our opponents. Our schedule saw no real middle of the road offense this year. There were three or four teams that were on the verge of breaking Sun Belt scoring records, and the rest were DII quality offenses. Its great that we started 22 different players on defense this year, that's experience that's hard to come by, but I'm skeptical of the how helpful that experience will be. C- or D+

All three of them sat last season. I consider them part of the 2019 class. We are down 3 in the portal, and have no new transfers to my knowledge.

Likely, but I would want to check on the rules there. I suppose he could always change his mind. Do we know if he was enrolled in classes at Troy this past semester? I believe he has from what I remember hearing because I think we applied for immediate eligibility and were denied. I was just trying to figure out the time frame of these numbers. I'm assuming the 3 are Perry, Curry and Gee. Looks like he counts in this class, but I don't really considering him a 2020 transfer since he initiated the transfer process in 2019.

Well, so far we are down 3 and up 1 in the transfer portal. Is the Iowa transfer included in these numbers? Likely, but I would want to check on the rules there. I suppose he could always change his mind. Do we know if he was enrolled in classes at Troy this past semester?

Nothing is going to change, yâall. Willing to bet. 0% chance (The HC we don’t speak of) is gone. I'm hopeful we'll see a change at DC, but it's very unlikely. Injuries, the portal, and the idea that the staff is new and needs some time to get rolling will keep this sinking ship in tact for another season, but ignores the reality that its captain is just not a very good captain. Too many plausible excuses, none of which more time will fix.

Now watch that transfer portal light up this week. Let them go if so they arent real Trojans anyway...the ones in there now didnt even play anyway...Go trojans I'd much rather be fully stocked going into next season, but I have no personal problem with a player making a career decision based on the performance of this football team.

Donovan Curry makes three so far. All three were part of the 2019 signing class.

That's what happens when you coach don't look like a coach, talk like a coach, presser like a coach, coach like a coach, or hire like a coach. I hear the state troopers are hiring. He would be a perfect fit. He's an offensive coordinator. That's it. Of the 19 commits we have, only five are defensive, and only one is a defensive back, with no JUCO defensive backs committed. He is going to go down as another air raid coordinator masquerading as a head coach. 5-7 is the norm when you only care about one side of the ball, and trust me you don't want to know what happens when the offense has a down year.

I'm going to spend my 2020 Troy money on Troy. Its a terrible on the field product right now, but Troy football offers more than just the game. Tailgating and being around long time friends is enough to get me through bad times on the field.
Always, go Troy.

Sideline reporter just went through the injury report and it looks like were a bit more banged up on defense this week than we were last week. Tyus is done for the season and Brandon Hall has mentioned some offensive guys might play safety today. Offensively, Kirk Kelley is back, and I actually think we're really healthy there minus the obvious BJ Smith.

You guys can keep it close. But roll? I can’t see that happening. Be there when it happens. We are definitely a different team at this point in the season. I think the kinks have been worked out on both sides of the ball. Most people can't see past one game, or take the opponent into consideration. Our performances have been relative to our opponents. Are we a bottom ten team? Absolutely not, and that's obvious when you see the box score against Akron, South Alabama, and Texas State. That said, every team that we've played well against on defense has an absolutely atrocious offense, with the exception of Georgia Southern, and we all why they weren't very effective versus our defense. I'd say we've gone from the sky is falling to a respectable team, but to say the kinks have been worked out on both sides of the ball is a bit premature, and ignorant of our strength of opponent. Hold the Cajuns to 28 or less and win the game and I'd say we're beginning to live up to preseason expectations. Blowouts versus bad teams don't mean much other than we're not complete garbage.
