Can't believe Rodeo hasn't been mentioned. They've got the best mexican in town. Plus good draft beer and margaritas! Hemi called it on page 1. Perfect spot for a baseball postgame gathering. I guess I should read better! Hemi is a smart one then

I heard Barry McKnight bash the city of Troy a couple of years ago on the John and Barry show when Lee Sterling (paramountsports) was coming up for a game from Florida. Lee ask about a good restaurant to eat at while in Troy. Barry paused and sarcastically said Waffle House is about all there is. This was before Chic fil A was there. I can think of several restaurants off the top of my head: Sisters Restaurant, Momma Goldberg's Deli, Santa Fe Cattle Company, and Country's Barbecue to name a few. I also don't like his style of play calling. I prefer someone who doesn't take so long to describe what is happening on the field and someone who actually likes Troy. I think Barry McKnight is a hired hand who really doesn't care if Troy wins or loses. He is an Auburn window licker. Who would you guys like to replace Barry in the future. Only person I'd want to replace Barry is Barry! He is great at what he does and is a great ambassador for Troy.

Way before the football game tomorrow, there is a great cause happening on campus. Starting at 8 on the quad will be the WOD for Water. Sign ups for beginners will still run through tomorrow, but even if you don't want to compete, it will be a great chance to watch and cheer on athletes competing in a CrossFit competition. You could also help by making a donation. For more info, here are a couple of links: wodforwatertroy.com www.troymessenger.com/2014/09/11/wod-for-water-seeks-to-raise-50k-this-saturday/

Everyone has the right to their opinion. I am curious if all those people are avoiding all establishments that serve alcohol as well? There is a limit of 2 per person and beer sales end at the end of the 3rd quarter. At Santa Fe you can buy it by the pitcher and there is no 3rd quarter cut off. I think I'll have a beer. That's two at a time. You could buy more than that throughout the game.

Some near future downtown development is in the works from what I'm hearing. I think I'll have a beer. I know this had been mentioned by the AD in the past. Not asking for specifics, but there has been some movement on this?

Saw this morning where Deon Anthony, James Brown, and Eric Thomas were cut. Hopefully they can find a spot elsewhere.

I agree that they will be a better team, but I think the Trojans will have a little surprise for them. I think I'll have a beer. You and your secrets!!!! Is it August 30th yet?

The reason this is and not saying it's right is because two of the three papers that help form a lot of the content for AL.com are the Press-Register and Birmingham News, so South and UAB would get that extra coverage. There isn't any kind of bureau of AL.com here in Troy.

#8 Rod Adams is a name I don't recall. Good size for a Safety. # 20 Phillip Crochen, a RB transfer from Alabama. We have a lot of guys here, but more talent and depth never hurts.
A few other names I wasn't familiar with and maybe other people may could enlighten us on.

I have now been answered by Jeremy Wise:
Will this replace our old board or in addition to?

I'm not at liberty to say which school it is, since everything is still in the initial research stages, but there may be a 4th new video board coming to a Sun Belt Conf Stadium before the CFB season starts. As I get additional information (and authorization to share it), I'll let people know what's going on. For those that didn't know the AD for Arkansas St named all four teams in an interview a few days ago. I think I'll have a beer. Where can we find this interview? I have searched google and found the story on their new board but can't find him mentioning the teams.

Who was the LB we lost to grades? Hoping it isn't who I fear. Well, if it is updated on the 2014 roster, the only player not their is one that I don't remember hearing a whole lot about. Lebbie, Lewis, and Roland are all still on the roster as of right now.

I know of a CB and a NIC, who was the LB we lost due to grades? A NIC is a hybrid LB/S correct? Yes. We lost a young linebacker due to academics, as well. I think I'll have a beer. Has this loss been reflected on the online roster?

Jimmy Kolaitis. Was a former Director of Baseball Ops here at Troy before going on to be an assistant softball coach at South and is currently an assistant at Oregon, one of the top ranked teams in the country. Bring him back this way!
