If I remember correctly the parking at LSU is a nightmare for visitors. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does LSU run shuttles from malls or other places like some schools do?

Went to Green Bay after our Wisconsin game and parking was $20 next to stadium and $10 for about 100 yards away. Plus plenty of free spaces all around the stadium
I also don't watch much pro sports anymore. First the strikes and now all the protests.

I don't believe coaches are afraid of the next team seeing what plays they ran and therefor must hide plays and save them for conference play. I the opponents want to see all of Troy's plays there are tapes of not only the last game but all the games for the last X years.
I can only speak from my experience but the coaches put in the plays and game plan to win the next game. New things were tried early in the season, and if they worked expect to see them again. I've never heard of a coach saying -- "this is a great play but we won't use it until conference play starts." You have fundamental sets, plays, formations that is Troy football. Hopefully the fundamentals you pick as a coach are ingrained in the talent you have. Then as you prepare for the next team you incorporate variations of those fundamentals that your opponent isn't prepared for.

Maybe it's just my generation, but I don't understand the attitude and philosophy that says tear an institution (In this case Troy Football) down so I get noticed. Why not say the Vet was packed Saturday with many fans standing in the concession area. We appreciate all those that attended and we hope to see a sellout crowd this season.

I don't think there is an official one but a friend of mine says a lot of opposing teams set up in this place. They will set up a separate area for Troy............thinking about the fall game between our two schools. FYI quite a few of the visiting teams alumni have rendevoused at the Stone House which is an extension of the Ram Brew House. It sits on the river greenbelt and is about 10 minutes walk from the stadium. I have rented it for my alumni group and was pleased with the service and food. You can reserve it for $1000 I believe which is applied to your food and beverages. I know we provided snacks for everyone but had bar as no host. All this goes toward the $1000 fee. Plenty of room inside the Stonehouse plus great shaded area outside. They put a fence up next to the greenbelt to define your area and keep preps out! Also easy parking access. Regardless the Ram next door is a main gathering hole for all sports fans coming and going to the game. May want to pass on to your Alumni Director to coordinate.............

I have a friend that is a season ticket holder and he says a lot of his group quit buying because the games were starting so late because Boise was chasing TV revenue and their games were in freezing weather. For a 9 pm night game his group would start tailgating around 5pm and it was already getting dark and freezing weather. Then you hike to the stadium in mukluks and parkas so you're sweating when you reach your seat. Then you freeze for 4 hours and get home around 1;30-2am. It's cold in Boise in the winter.

Robert Lee lost something in Virginia — and 152 years later, another Robert Lee did too.The living Robert Lee, an ESPN broadcaster, was pulled from calling the University of Virginia home opener against William and Mary on Sept. 2 because he shares a name with the Confederate general at the center of unrest in Charlottesville. “We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name,” Derek Volner, an ESPN spokesman, told The Washington Post in an emailed statement. The epitome of stupidity! I think the Zombie Apocalypse is fake ----- but the IDIOT Apocalypse; that's real

The IVY league schools used to be the best but not any more. Reputations are made in the past. Princeton and MIT graduates are still sought most of the Ivy league has slipped below a lot of other schools. A well rounded individual should enjoy sports as well as all the other activities at a major university. Most don't know what they want to be when they grow up. Exposure to ALL that a university has to offer if vital. Builds pride, camaraderie, and lasting friendships

I'd play any power 6 team at a neutral site rather than go to their stadium. I would not sacrifice a home game to play at a neutral site.
My definition of a neutral would be a site that doesn't have a major college team playing there (eliminates Mobile) but does have a stadium that will hold the fans from both teams. Shreveport, Little Rock, Jacksonville, Montgomery, (and others) all fit for me. If we played UAB in Montgomery every year we could alternate who gets credit for the home game and still keep our 6 games at the VET. UAB in the Crampton Bowl a couple of days before the season starts on Saturday, with good TV coverage would be a win for both teams.

Eventually He'll have to beat Yeldon for the starting job. You mean Leornard Fournette right? You're right. But since Harris is replacing Yeldon, I figure he'll have to beat him for playing time after Yeldon heals. I'm sure Fournette will start the game. My mistake. However, if Fournette is the beast in the NFL that everyone expects, maybe they would trade Yeldon for some money or draft position and leave Harris as the backup.

Why not put up a large tent for visitors that don't have tailgate connections. Put some TVs in it, sell beer and water, hot dogs, burgers, etc.

Where are you getting your info on Coach VK is definitely gone if we have a stellar year. No info just a hunch. He turned around one of the worst defenses in FBS in two seasons and they are expecting even better performance this season. That has to get noticed by a bigger school looking to improve its defense. Hope I'm wrong. What he has done is nothing short of a miracle and he has been a blessing to this program Didn't he try that once before when he went to Clemson from Troy?

Just my opinion but I don't like the way "Larry Blakeney Field" is displayed. Coach Blakeney has a very nice signature. Rather than a big block letter sign, just have his signature. More distinctive, and looks better. Get it done (along with a big "T" for the logo) the next time we renew the turf

They really weren't bad. They won a lot of games. They were inconsistent; they lost games they should have won and they weren't competitive in some others. In other words, they were just like the vast majority of college teams out there with good talent but inconsistent performance.
