I don't know who could be disappointed! Awesome to be in the conversation, even if only for a brief while. Great for the program and our university. I'm not a huge basketball fan but you know I'll be watching Friday night! Go Trojans! The crowd that wants Cunningham gone... they are disappointed.

A lot of Troy "fans" on this board are so disappointed by the win today. Doesn't fit their narrative.

We should add Southern Miss though! On our schedule? Done. In our conference? Not happening.

We need to stay in the Sun Belt Conference and continue to build it up to the Conference we want it too be. We were the first team to win 5 Conference Championships and now the first team to be ranked in the AP 25. Not only are we getting National Attention, so does the Conference. What a great day to be a Troy Trojan Fan. Watch how those teams who left want to come back. Is that even a question? No matter what fans may want, I don't think a conference change is a possibility right now.

Bought two parking passes and one hour before game time I could not park in my LOT.1/3 of the vehicles in that Lot had no pass hanging from window....yeah,I was hacked and looked at every vehicle. My elderly father=in -law hoofed the extra 200 yards so no biggie. Not sure how a barricaded lot is 1/3 full of non permited vehicles....hopefully it was recruits then I don't mine .....they can park in the endzone if it was me! Was it the National Guard Armory lot or was it one of Lots 1-5?

Considering this is the view from my office window, the Camellia Bowl would definitely be the easiest for me to go to....but how boring! I'd practically feel like I was going to work driving to it! lol View AttachmentWe could have a big Troy party down at the Alley though! Personally, I am hoping for NoLa.

When the Commish was here for the NMSU game, he said Troy would be in the East division with GSU, GSU, App. St and Coastal Carolina... welcome to the SEC West of the Sun Belt! Not a fan of these divisions and championship game. Sun Belt will have 10 teams which means you would play 9 conference games, 1 FCS game and two money games. By playing all teams you earn it on the field. Instead you will have arguably the 5 best teams in the same division. So say Ark St or USA choses to not play App St and GA Southern and get to the championship game while Troy has to play both. Two sides to this for sure. Not sure we will play 9 conference games during regular season, is that change coming? Also, the conference would likely choose the conference schedule. If we play 8 conference games, I don't think they would allow any team to choose the 1 team they would not play. I am sure consideration would be given for rivalries when they rotate the schedules though.

Well, some thought that when the old announcer engaged the crowd with the 'east stands' Troy! and the 'west stands' Trojans! was stupid...that's very interesting... Why am I not remembering this? Was it last season? It's been five or more years since he did that.

To my fellow Troy fans, we played the number 2 team in the country (at the time) close. To the Southern Miss fans, you came from behind to beat Kentucky. None of that matters Saturday. Leave all that in the past. Let's strap it up and play some d@€n football! It should be a great game!
By the way, I welcome the banter.
Let's go Trojans, beat the Yellow Eagles.

Watching Denver vs Carolina, the Bronco fans seem to enjoy the IN-COM-PLETE cheer. I like it as well and hope they bring it back.

I noticed right away it wasn't the same guy. I like our usual announcer. He has more enthusiasm than most of the fans at the game and keeps it rolling along smoothly. Let's face it, for a long time we've needed someone to try and wake up the crowd and get them going. Though I did laugh when the announce pointed out to everyone that it was third down and they suddenly realized they were supposed to cheer/make noise. Other than that amusing moment, the guy this weekend was a bit flat and seemed to struggle. Anyone know what happened to our usual announcer and is he permanently gone or was this just a holiday weekend for him? If I recall correctly, last season the regular announcer missed a few games as well. I hope he will be back.

So, now we are being negative about perceived problems 2 season down the road? Yea, I am sure Rigby hasn't even considered future recruiting or seasons. :sarcasm: You evidently confuse negativity with a legit question. 8 seniors, 12 returning players with game time. We play 11, stating a fact that we could have a inexperienced team 2017-18 unless the new players get playing time over the 12 returners. Next year could be the year. This group set the bar high Can I be a fan of a team/school and not question or criticize every perceived problem? I hope so. I refuse to believe that the only two choices are, 1. Demand everyone is fired, or 2. Drink the cool aid and accept mediocrity. Someone can be a fan and not go to either extreme. And just because someone doesn't call for a coaches job on a message board, doesn't mean we like or accept losing.

Are you not disappointed that Rigby is a female coach? Plenty of successful women's basketball coaches..ie Pat Summitt. However, Uconn has a male coach. My point was softball..the top programs all have male coaches.....fact. Softball, got it

Actually 4 underclassmen played, including Mendoza who was listed as a sophomore. CR has a good core of hs players that she will enhance with juco players. How many will play next year with 8 seniors and 4 underclassmen with game experience? That is my concern with the 2017-18 season. She has done a tremendous job, I just hope we don't go from pinnacle to rebuilding year. Hope maybe this group coming in is possibly better than some returners, that would be even better. So, now we are being negative about perceived problems 2 season down the road? Yea, I am sure Rigby hasn't even considered future recruiting or seasons. :sarcasm:

If Rigby is still here for next season, I believe she is going to be able to finish with a solid recruiting class. The team will have A LOT of seniors next season, but Rigby is going to find more JUCO and high school talent to keep the depth going. She's already signed McDonald's All-American Jessie Day out of high school, which is huge. I wouldn't be surprised if she sees a lot of playing time next season. I'm hoping with her son at Troy and her husbands success at Elba she stays. You never know with a coach. Some jump ship while others stay for a long time. Case in point Larry Kehres the football coach at Mount Union. A 56 and 57 game win streak, 8 national titles, a .900 plus career win percentage. You can't tell me someone never tried to hire him away?? Are you not disappointed that Rigby is a female coach?

Bronson has a Mickey Dees?? I avoid the one in Perry. Two times the you know what's was enough for me. Actually I'm not sure Bronson has a restraunts lol. I yawned once and didn't realize I drove through it Then why did you use it as an example of a town you drive through with eating establishments? Do you really think that the eateries that Troy has is due to 231 and not the school? I don't deny that there is a combination of the two, but your negative outlook on Troy's local impact is glaring.
