I think most of you will be pleasantly surprised by the exposure and talk of Troy in NOLA. Bottom line is that wins get you ranked. Not ratings or exposure. I think many of you put way too much emphasis on all that. As far as players, they will certainly be on Bourbon Street at some point. And I know we fans will. It's the best bowl we've ever played in. I love it. Hmm perception is a peculiar thing. What is one mans junk is another mans treasure With our bowl game drought over the last few years, I think NoLa is a treasure!

I have a feeling that many of our players want to go to NoLa. After all, a bowl game is a reward for them. NoLa is a win-win for player and fan alike. Everyone should just enjoy the fact that we have a 10 win regular season and we are conf champs! Fair point on where the players want to go. As far as this fan is concerned? Meh I am totally good with it!

I've never really been a fan of nola but I'm going to try and go to give it a chance. But would love to see this bowl moved to Nashville, Atl or Huntsville as someone mentioned to me recently. Worse thing other than time slot is it's the home of the aints. Go Saints!!!

Tragedy in weather prognostication. Mike (the weather squirrel) was walking with me to the mail box and set down in the road to scratch his acorns and the neighbor drove by and I did not realize Mike was dyslexic. You see he always spelled Troy (Yort) and last weeks lotto numbers were all perfect except backwards...dang should have been a hint but none the less I yelled for him to go right and he went left so needless to say Mike is gone (except for his being a small speed bump outside my house now). So from now. on I guess I will have to rely on the weather channel. Anyway Mike did preview next weeks weather in Jonesboro just prior to his career transition..." He said it is going to be A-State getting their arse kicked weather"... So here is to Mike 🍻 to the dang gone best weather squirrel (and temporary speed bump) I have ever known So sorry for your loss. It is so sad when a young, talented squirrel is taken from us too soon. Number one lesson from this: Careful where you scratch your acorns fellas!

It’s been confirmed Mox, Billy Bob and The teacher who had another job which probably ties into Hugh Freeze were all at the Ark State Vs South AL game. Ms Davis. I like Ms Davis.

LSU thinks they are the only game in town. But they don’t brand themselves as the University of Louisiana. Not sure why there would be any legal standing for them

LSU tries to Stop Lafayette calling themselves University of Louisiana but they are. Lot of schools in the same boat. I thought that was a ULM/ULL disagreement. Don’t know why LSU would care

Not sure if there was ever a lawsuit against Troy. I know that about the same time as referenced above, Southern Cal did sue South Carolina over the use of “USC” as a primary athletic mark on uniforms or on merchandise. Southern Cal won

Dabo just lost to Syracuse. Upsets happen, that’s why they play the game. Clemson, like Troy, will have to put it behind them and finish the season strong. Sure the loss Wednesday night still stings, and will for some time. But at the end of the day, gotta love this game and the Trojans!

Again can't see the forest through the trees. Sigh. Bless your heart, I guess so. You just keep doing what you are doing and see if it results in changes and I will keep doing what I do because I know it results in change. I don't think he really cares or wants to do anything. That's ok, we need those fans too.

Sorry, not sure I'm "hearing" this volume you speak of?? IF it is that Troy Athletics decides to "tour" events where the crowd shows up and appreciates the effort it takes to put on a tour stop event, then I am hearing it right. IF it (volume) is some sort of sarcastic remark that Troy Athletics doesn't feel these towns "deserve" a stop, then that message is WRONG! Those of us that actually work our asses off to make sure OUR Universities Brand is promoted ALL OVER OUR local area and work WITH Athletics to MAKE SURE the folks come out don't appreciate attitudes of, "...run to you with open arms...blah, blah, blah..."! I actually thought MOST of the people on this forum actually WANTED the University to grow. For "US" to be a part of helping that growth. To work WITH our MASSIVE Athletic Department staff of what 4 or 5 folks, including ticket office staff, admin staff, Etc, to get OUR University to the next level. Guess not, seems some on here just want to constantly complain about everything our "massive" staff doesn't do! Its really a choice, be a part of the solution or continue to be part of the problem. That's what is GREAT about this, YOU get to choose. Guess the future will tell us all, what the answer is SMDH! Again can't see the forest through the trees. Sigh. And some simply can't see

Finally ! If Troy is to grow, this exactly what the university needs to do. It's Marketing 101. Take a business class. It's customer service. If the mentality and mindset and operation/message of a university is to say to its alumni/fans: do all the work and I will take all the credit is just Wow ! The fact that they are going to Greenville and not Huntsville, Mobile or Birmingham speaks volume. Sorry, not sure I'm "hearing" this volume you speak of?? IF it is that Troy Athletics decides to "tour" events where the crowd shows up and appreciates the effort it takes to put on a tour stop event, then I am hearing it right. Without sounding sexiest I can tell you one undeniable fact. The vast majority of successful softball programs from HS, to ASA Gold travel ball, to JUCO to the top college programs all have male head coaches. There are successful female coaches but far, far less than male coaches. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Arizona, Tennessee, ULL, Arizona St. And on have male head coaches. We have tried the female route twice, time for a male coach with a baseball background like the top programs have. Even Valdosta St a D2 power has a male HC from the baseball ranks. It can't hurt to try, status quoa isn't working jmo. I was around high level travel ball for six years and never seen a top program that wasn't coached by a man. There are good female coaches but the odds of finding one are not as good. Facts don't lie. We get it: male, from Florida, over 50, and one of your friends.
