Agreed. I'm still trying to figure out why Sumrall put such a high priority on remaining the co-DC for Kentucky all the way through their Jan 1 bowl game... Yet he can't be Troy's HC all the way through our Dec 23 bowl game? I have to be honest. That's been bothering me the most. Isn’t it common for hired away coaches to not be there for the bowl? Talking about head coaches

Tulane can suck eggs. I hope $umrall falls flat on his face. I hate, HATE, that JS is leaving. But I do not fault him or Tulane. They saw a quality coach and went after him. He saw the value they placed on having him as a coach.

Our chairback seats went up $100 each for the season (6 games). Noticed that Season GA's went from $60 > $75 each. It's the first increase in season ticket prices in a decade. My bench back went up $50 each for the six I buy. Renewed them and ready for the 2023 season!

I have two tickets but can’t make the game. Message me if interested. Don’t want them to go to waste.

Good opening game. Now just need to focus on conference games. That’s all that matters now. Wait… did you think we were heading to a natty? No, you?

Outmatched. Not saying “aw shucks” alone, but we will struggle this year If this was the previous staff, I would agree, but I think we fix this and are at least competitive at App. Hoping you are right!

I will support Troy win or lose but it gets harder and harder with (The HC we don’t speak of) st the helm! If your pastor decided to have the congregation drink strychnine and bring venomous snakes into the service would you support him then! Iâm guessing you would still want to support the church but you would be looking for a new Pastor! I am just saying I donât want my coach to lose every game or my pastor to bring deadly kool aid just so we can replace them, thatâs all.

Iâm guessing you would still want to support the church but you would be looking for a new Pastor! A pastor bringing poison and dangerous reptiles to a service compared to coaching decisions during a football game? Read my post again. Itâs not about supporting a coach or a pastor, itâs about supporting something bigger than both of them. If your support of a team or a church depends on the coach or pastor alone, thatâs fine.

As long as the Cabbage Patch reject is the coach I will not support the football program. Really hate that you feel that way. You have every right to choose to support, or not support, Troy for any reason you want. But the program is bigger than any single coach, player, athletic director, or chancellor. I may not always agree with my church’s pastor, but I still support the mission.

From a theatrical and creative standpoint, I thought it was well done. It was too long though. It would've gotten the idea across just fine with 1:00 to 1:30 long video. It felt repetitive after that. Agree on the length.

You couldn’t have social distancing with half capacity. That a the whole thing. There would be no need to social distance people they have tailgated together all day. We will have to see if tailgating is even allowed on campus. Regardless, I wouldn’t necessarily think social distancing would be required among ticket blocks. For example, the six seats that I buy wouldn’t need to be 6 feet apart from each other, would they?

Has there been any announcement on how many fans will be allowed? Not that we are in any danger of a sell out with this crap going on but are they going to cap or space out fans? I was told that Stadium protocols will be released Friday. Wow, like everyone here, can’t wait to see the announcement . As everyone has probably seen, the in-state SEC schools are going with 20% stadium capacity. That would be brutal for us. With a capacity of around 30,400, that would mean just over 6k. Hopefully, our protocols will allow for at least half capacity.

Don’t judge too quickly friends, I believe UAB’s and South’s practice facilities are a bit more sophisticated than a simple wooden hay barn. One hundred yards of field turf covered by a metal pavilion with ample lighting and protection from the sun, rain and lightning, at a fraction of the cost of a “traditional” IPF. Don’t be surprised if Troy chooses to avoid writing a big fat check just to say “ours has walls.” Troy doesn’t have unlimited resources, we have to make wise choices.
