This twitter generation has changed lots of things, In days gone by, an AD would not air dirty laundry anywhere. I think now it is hypocritical to be constantly tweeting all sunshine and rainbows without bringing some brutal honesty when it is obviously needed. I think our AD should either not tweet at all or shoot straight when he does. Mr. Hartwell has always struck me as being a straight shooter! I disagree. When you supervise, you praise in public, and discipline in private. The Twitter generation has indeed changed a lot of things. We have become very narcissistic and require instant gratification. We feel we are entitled to know what Hartwell is planning to do right after a bad loss. There is nothing wrong with an AD singing the praises of his programs but failing to vent publicly when things are bad. It's not what he tweets, it's what he does to right the ship. Jesus!!! Some people can find something negative about everything!!!!! Agreed. Some folks complain that this is a negative for the players that did not participate , others actually call out this player. The reality is that most of us are too caught up on our own petty desires and wants and can't see that we have some great college kids giving everything they have for their school. Both the FB team and the band. They deserve support from fans and coaches alike. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would hope that an AD would not jump on Twitter after a horrible loss and air out dirty laundry. Fans? Yes. An athletic director that has some very important decisions to make about the future of a football program... not so much. Come on Ho, you really don't expect Hartwell to disclose his intentions/plans via social media, do you?

I fully support everyone's right to attend, or not attend a game for whatever reason. It's your time and money, you can certainly do with it what you like.
However, I will say that I am disappointed that some come on this board and indicate that the student athletes that work hard as students, AND as athletes, owe any of us wins if they want us to actually show up and cheer for them. A good Troy crowd is what the hope for and what they deserve. I can't make most away games, but they sure appreciate those that do.
Not attending because of children, I can relate because I missed a ton of games when the kids were younger. Just be careful when you indicate that the reason you aren't attending is because the players just don't win enough.

Can't starve our players for an inability to tackle. They are students then athletes. Just picking at you preacher. Say a prayer for all of us. I think I'll have a beer. I will and have been! My wife looked at me Saturday night and said you just missed an afternoon getting upset about something you have no control over. Like a dagger. I will continue to support financially because I want to see the program advanced and the students do well. I am just at a stage in my life if the college game has lost its entertainment value (poor non competitive games) for the family I have better things to do. Because I can't get my time back. The kiddos are only in the house for a little while. Sigh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The "no pass out" rule, not crazy about it but I understand the reason and I can live with it. The no umbrellas rule, long overdue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Mr. Ho not hot on No Pasing Out Rule, he might have to resport to that by halftime of disaster on Saturday. I know Redwave pass out on regular basis but usually at Front Porch restroom floor. Welcome to the new world!

Maybe we should look at hiring Bud Kilmer. I have heard he won 2 titles and 22 championships. I think he may be available right away.

Complain all you want on a message board, just get your back side to the stadium on game days (from kickoff, to all zeros at the end), and support the program all that you can. There are some programs that have great attendance and support even during the down years, Troy isn't one of them. If we want to be big time, we need to act like it and show those players and their families that the didn't make a mistake choosing Troy.

They got money coming in from around the globe. They got the money. It's ok to take their money, just don't count them when we post our enrollment numbers. Got it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need someone to tell me why we have 0 under center plays? The only thing that has done scat for us was having Franklin then riding what he fixed for a bit. Eddedfield is awful. I don't recall ever going under center when TF was here either...I've seen Louisville do it a few times tonight. Can't see where it would hurt, but we just don't do it. I personally don't think he's terrible, but he's not TF...not many are. I always thought we should have at least 1 or 2 plays under center for short yardage situations. But they claim the QB/center exchange is a concern. Good to see a great turnout for Louisville on a Monday night. Their fans showed up even though it's a weekday game. Report: Sun Belt Conference has talked to Missouri State about becoming member school
by Andrew Coppens
"College football has been on the expansion and realignment merry-go-round for what seems like the past 20 years, and one has to wonder when we’ll all be allowed to get off the darn thing. Well, don’t hold your breath on that happening any time soon if the Sun Belt has its way. According to Bear Boulevard, a Scout.com website covering the Missouri State Bears, the school has held talks with the Sun Belt about potentially making a move to become a full-time member of the conference..." Awwww, 20 years old... how cute. ---------------------------- UAB band marches and sings in preparation for the 20th anniversary season
(Mark Almond/malmond@al.com) "BIRMINGHAM, Alabama—To be a member of the UAB Marching Blazers band you have to be able to play a musical instrument to perfection, march in tightly-choreographed formation and to sing. Sing? Well the words may just be "da, da, daaa, da" but the singing is important. The 210 members of the band wrapped up the annual band camp Friday by rehearsing their pregame and halftime shows at Legion Field. They marched across the artificial turf without their musical instruments concentrating on getting their formations right. A metronome and their own singing provided the rhythm..." I think UAB and South are good choices. No need to waste the SOTS on another SEC school, keep it in the state.

Sounds good for our chance to get the win, probably hurts the chances of Duke being the highest ranked team to visit VMS. They are not in most top 25 polls, their game against Elon will not likely help them climb up any.

Packers RB DuJuan Harris Escorts Little Girl and Her Pink Bike to Training Camp
Morry Gash/Associated Press
"Take a moment and ready yourself, because DuJuan Harris brought the cuteness something fierce this weekend. The Green Bay Packers running back participated in the team's annual ride-a-neighborhood-kid's-bike-to-camp tradition Saturday. The Associated Press took some achingly precious pictures of Harris and a little girl who offered her bike to the team..."
