I know the only times I ever stayed for the post game was when my fiancee was a majorette. Otherwise I'm ready to get on the road. Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk I am aware that they are there, but I'm always out at the end of the game. I respect what they do, but that's not what most people in the stadium came for. But you aren't a Troy player or a current student. You are just an alumnus and a fan... maybe the team, coaches and AD shouldn't consider your presence either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think it is safe to say that Coach Blakeney will retire at the end of this season. However, I have a legitimate question for those who are calling on him to be fired today. Who do you replace him with tomorrow? Normally they promote the OC or DC when they fire a coach in mid season. So do you promote Bolt, whose defense gave up 38 points to a Div 1AA team and had the consistency of a wet paper bag when they had to make a stop, or do you promote Edenfield, who many of you consider to be predictable and unimaginative? Smooth? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know a Troy supporter that became a Trojan fan because a player took time out of his routine to personally extend an offering of appreciation to him and his family. (and no, it is not The Dream) Tyler Parker may or may not have done the same Saturday night. Troy athletics may have a new life-long fan or it may not. We all don't agree with what he did, but his heart is in the right spot. That my friends I can guarantee. No question on his heart. He may well have done just that. Great gesture. Likely poor or judgment and/or timing. I think I'll have a beer. Poor judgment/timing on doing something right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good news guys. We can say "taint" on the board now. Yet I am still not allowed to use a picture of one for my avatar. That just taint right. I have no problem with your use of taint in this post... however, keep all pictures of one to yourself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You sure can. Just as I can say it's a stupid one See, there we go again. I'm a huge SOTS fan but why is her opinion "stupid"? Who decides that in your world? I'm not sure whether I agree with her opinion or not but she darn sure has a right to feel and say it WIITHOUT bring called names. Gosh, we don't have to have trolls on here, we can destroy each other much better than an opponents fan base. Why not try, "well I appreciate your opinion but I have t completely disagree"? So many times on this site you are called "stupid "or "crazy" or "an idiot" and all you have done is express an idea different from the name caller's. I always heard that you start calling names and swearing when you run out of intellectual ammunition! Just sayin'! I for one, do not agree with her opinion. But I totally support and welcome her right to express it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You do the fight song when you win, the alma mater if you lose. It's done at a lot of schools that Way. Navy did to their pep band. Our band always plays the fight song after every game. Never the alma mater. Who do they play it for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Parker turned his back on his team? What about the dozen or so players that ran straight to the locker room rather than going out to shake the hands of the FCS team that kicked their tail. I have much more respect for a person that has the guts to take a loss like a man, shake the better team's hand and thank the spectators and band for supporting him and his team. Tyler Parker did not turn his back on Troy, but it appears that a portion of the Trojan fan base has turned their back on him. That paragraph proves how much disarray this team is in. They can't even be unified and disciplined enough to do the same thing after the game? For the record, running into the locker room without an injury or other reason and avoiding the opposing team is on the same page as what Parker did, IMHO. Is it ok if fans leave in droves before game's end when Troy is behind? They would be unified and on the same page. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As a band member yes. The days are hard and intense. We work just as hard as they do. But WE ARE TROJANS ONE AND ALL!!!! We are all apart of the Trojan family. We are here to support one another. I have mad respect for #31. He at least recognizes that part. Yeah, ok, we lost and he was "suppose" to go to the locker rooms after the game. I'm "suppose" to do a lot of things in the band. I have talked to EVERYONE in the band. They all love what #31 did. We had a long day and he showed his respects to us. We still have to cheer for them even if they lose!!!! He separated himself from his team and showed a true lack of discipline. Of course y'all love what he did. He gave y'all attention. And y'all are giving him a bunch of undeserved attention. Sorry. I love Troy. Sorry you don't like the attention he has gotten, but your post has added to his attention. Not sure his actions were within "team rules," but some folks debit as a positive from last night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He didn't necessarily draw attention, we are giving it to him... both good and bad. Same with the FB team Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think the kid made a mistake. I firmly believe the attention he is getting was not done on purpose and he didn't foresee it. HOWEVER, by going across the field away from his team to the band, he drew attention to himself. So, you are against chest pumping and celebrations after plays? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well said trojangirl! He drew attention to himself and may or may not have broken a team rule - do we know yet how or even if the players are given guidance on how to conduct themselves after the game? There would be WAY more "How can they be over there celebrating after getting beat by an FCS school??? They need to go practice some more with their helmets on!" if more had gone over there. I don't know you but I would probably drink a cooler of beer with you. I think I'll have a beer. Uhh, what? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To my knowledge, no one from the band has posted that they needed acknowledgement on this board. If there are no fans, cheer leaders, or band-members in the stands each game, would that be noticed by the players?

Haven't you pointed out that sales are down anyway? I will buy tickets for the SOTS and if I could afford it, a box. Well buy away? Because you buy a ticket just to see the band, you're going to demand that everyone show them the respect you think they deserve? I'm well aware of how hard they work. I saw them at 8:45 yesterday morning. I think I'll have a beer. Not as much respect to the band, as a lack of esprit de corps. I realize the team was quite deflated after the loss, I just like acknowledging the the gesture by a player, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I disagree. When you supervise, you praise in public, and discipline in private. The Twitter generation has indeed changed a lot of things. We have become very narcissistic and require instant gratification. We feel we are entitled to know what Hartwell is planning to do right after a bad loss. There is nothing wrong with an AD singing the praises of his programs but failing to vent publicly when things are bad. It's not what he tweets, it's what he does to right the ship. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well we are all anxiously awaiting to see what he does to right the ship. It's currently listing more than the Costa Concordia and it's moving about like that Carnival ship that lost power in the Gulf Just don't look for the answers today on Twitter.
