Great post but from 2016 to 2018 we played with less talent and we still was able to win big due to good coaching, leadership and discipline. Yes we have and will be fine on Offense but the Defense has not gained any ground from the first game to now. That’s not a player problem, it’s a coaching problem, so with that said fire the DC and move on. That’s just me saying

I am firmly against in-season firings, but if one is to be made at DC, the only person on staff capable of managing it is Bam. Post season, you have to at least make a call to Sumrall or Lesley. Doubt either would return, but they are both in the ballpark affordable and know the culture of the program. Great Post,
Bam is a great coach and he would do as good or better job (In a pinch) than what we have now, but I don't see him as a DC. Now with that said both Sumrall and Lesley could do the job and If I had to pick one, it would be Sumrall due to he could fall right in when (The HC we don’t speak of) decides to jump ship. The question is who is the better coach for the DC job out of the two of them and I would have to say Lesley but and I mean but, he still has way to much of that East Mississippi JUCO coaching (belittling and browbeating) in him for my taste. Now, this is just me saying, If I wanted to see footprint placed on the turf for along term answer I would go with Sumrall every time. Remember this is just me saying
Again good post!

This isnât a Offensive problem, itâs a DC problem. We score the points needed to win ball games, we just canât stop anyone. Iâm thinking from what Iâm hearing there very well could be a disciplinary problem. First step to correcting that problem is to Fire that DC and the second step is holding people accountable. If he canât do that then it time for (The HC we don’t speak of) to move on down the road.

Anybody else listen? What I get out of it is...
Roughly quoting:
On defense... We thought we were good. I suppose we are not. We gotta address it. On Offense... There are a lot of positives but we need to score more points. Special Teams... Man we missed a field goal but I thought they were solid.
Just got to play better in all three phases to beat a good football team like Georgia State.
Turning the page to a really good Coastal Carolina team. We got our hands full.
5 games left and we don't control our destiny but there is a lot of opportunity to get some wins.
//end quoting
I gotta stop watching these things. It's like I know a kick in the n*** is bad but I keep asking for one.
O' well I would say your statement is correct on what he said, its what he didn't say that gets me and that is "we need to do a lot better job coaching them up". (The HC we don’t speak of) I will give you a little advice, you are not going to go to sleep and wake up and its all better. Until you take responsibility for what is happening, the nightmares will continue. That just me saying!

I will no longer be complaining about the coaching staff, because at the end of the day it won’t do any good. Like my grandmother taught me, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. So, I won’t be posting anything else in the this forum the rest of the season. Hoping for the best, but not expecting it. See y’all in the funny papers. I will, Fire that DC, that’s just me saying.

My Frustrations is not hearing from the AD, he was tweeting and posting big time before ball season and now just dead silence. That just me saying. He's not been dead silent. He's been touting our other teams at TROY like soccer and volleyball that are doing great but no one else seems to care about! Just making a statement about the football program and his dead silence due to he may be like the rest of us, lost for words. That just me saying

Coach Lessley and his wife look like rockstars at WVU right now and seem very happy. Just go look at his Twitter This would be a no from me. He can coach but the way he talks to players is to hard to watch.

What bothers me is they had ten days to prepare for GaSt and got spanked. More (The HC we don’t speak of) dip Hands on hips the whole game. ( Are we in shape, good question).

He applied for the head job here. He’s not coming here to be our DC. I know, but Sumrall as DC/HC would mean no money left to pay an experienced OC. Our OFF is not playing great, but honestly it’s not much worse than the Neal Brown OFF. Barker is just not executing wisely in some situations. He is technically a SR - but when it comes to game experience he is just a SO, and it shows. The overall difference (except depth issues) is Koenning vs Hall, not CLindsey vs NBrown. Can we just get on with it and fire that DC ( I don’t even know his name)!!

Our sideline is pathetic. The players look so dejected and uninspired. There was a coach running down the sideline telling the players to get up and get motivated.... and they did NOTHING bit stand there. This team is lost. It all about having and motivating leadership.

This is why I didnât âthank Brandon Hallâ in that thread last week. We played a pathetic south team. We are gonna be lucky if we get to 6 wins this year guys. But, again, it's not just Hall. Offense isn't getting anywhere, either. That high powered (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) offense is nonexistent when put against a halfway competent defense. And he looks lost on the sidelines. What are you saying then, fire them all??

Skeeter Quote of the Day
People in life think its about where you START and where you FINISH, but the PROCESS is what makes the start and finish viable. You have to understand when you are preparing for a game, the small things are just as important as the big things. They have to run hand and hand for you to be successful. You have to be a winner on the practice field each and every day before you will ever be a winner on the playing field.
Its all about the process and the leadership that gets you there.

There's no real balance to the game due to circumstances we're all aware of. The more you throw, the more likely you are to get picks. There will be a lot of picks until we find a real running game, and the defense can't do much to help out. Also, the offensive line isn't as good as people were expecting them to be. There’s not a lack of talent on the offensive line. Lack of coaching is the problem and will be the problem until the AD makes a change, that just me saying

Offense had 115 yards in the first half This is the first solid defense this team has faced. There's no running game to speak of, the offensive line isn't as stout as we thought they would be, so all we do offensively is throw (and the QB is having to run around too much and taking too many hits). It's a whole lot easier to defend that than a balanced game if you have a half decent and healthy defense. And their defense was better than halfway. Coaching means coaching.
