It's painfully obvious that he wasn't ready to be a head coach. We've gone from three 10+ winning seasons to a complete dumpster fire.

At best, he will call his agent and his agent will remind him that being fired gets a sack of cash and quitting gets nothing.

(The HC we don’t speak of) isnât going anywhere. The best we can hope for is the firing of the âdefensive coordinator.â

(The HC we don’t speak of) and his offense is the bright spot The offense is the best of the three units, but something isn't quite right there, either. The bulk of the scoring happened in the first quarter today. Coastal made adjustments, and we only managed two more scores after that in the 3td and 4th. Coastal wasn't that good. Neither side of the ball adjusted to what the other team was doing. And we were awful at 3rd down conversions.

At least he didn't throw a pick which is good for him.

If the QB is getting pressured to the point we stall, the line isn't doing it's job. If the QB is calling the plays and isn't adjusting, the OC needs to take over and adjust the plays to the defensive adjustments. The QB has to lead and ultimately make the play (with those around him doing their part), but direction, scheming, adjustments, and ultimate leadership comes from the coaches.

Absolute horrible hire. Now we are stuck with him and get to watch the program go down the toilet. Great job JM. I'm sure he's laughing right now in Hattiesburg

I'm sure he's laughing right now in Hattiesburg You do realize that this hire is on the resume’ of Jeremy McLain, don’t you? Whether he is here or not, when he’s being looked at for future jobs, this hire will be a negative check mark. The best thing that could have happened for JM would have been for TROY to go 13-1 with a NY6 bowl victory and a loss to USM. To think that JM would find our current situation humorous makes no sense.

What he possibly saw in a traveling OC that had been at 7 schools in 8 years is absolutely baffling.

I'm sure he's laughing right now in Hattiesburg I get the situations are different from when NB took over but youâre judging (The HC we don’t speak of) off of the first 8 games heâs been a head coach. If there arenât changes between year 1 and 2 then Iâll start questioning the hire.

This isnât a Offensive problem, itâs a DC problem. We score the points needed to win ball games, we just canât stop anyone. Iâm thinking from what Iâm hearing there very well could be a disciplinary problem. First step to correcting that problem is to Fire that DC and the second step is holding people accountable. If he canât do that then it time for (The HC we don’t speak of) to move on down the road.

I believe even if it is not right or his fault just fire the DC and for interim and next year put Bam in there. He could do no worse and believe we would do some better. It maybe that the best it would do is be like switching the chairs around on the deck of the Titanic. However, (The HC we don’t speak of) must do something because that side of the ball is failing and it is not always effort on the players. Even though the O is not perfect nor our special teams they are not the ones getting us to less than a five win season with an offense that is averaging around 30 something a game. I use to feel sorry for UF Floridaâs D because unless they gave up 7 or less they had no chance of winning. Now if we do not score 49 or more we have no chance and even then we donât have a great chance

(The HC we don’t speak of) isnt going anywhere. I just hope he has the balls to fire the DC in order to keep the fanbase. The fans will support the team but dont have to support him but I will if he makes the right decision. We only needed 1 defensive stop and we win.

Troy will not win another game this season. I looked at the schedule for 2020 and it looks like our next win will be the first and then may be the second game of the 2020 season. It looks like about 3 wins next seasons to. (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) will leave Troy a millionaire. It's said to think but we're going to be in this same position next year to.

No one quits their first year as a head coach no matter how bad the year is. No one is going to fire him either because that’s just bad form. That would also mean the university made a mistake, heaven forbid. That will never happen. The coaching staff hint it might be responsible? Yeah. Right. The rest of the season and going into next year will be faulted completely upon injuries, new system glitches and fans over expectations. In my industry, I can fire an employee simply over the way he wears his clothes, and I have. Coaching is a different animal, however. So here’s to the 2020 season motto; We promise to suck less!
