I've never had the extra money to go to the kickoff party. What's the drawdown?

I'm actually the one that designed the shirt. To give you some background about it, it actually wasn't a mistake, it was planned. When doing the design, I knew we had other Trojan statues on other campuses and thought about our fight song We are Trojans, One and All. So, I researched and decided to incorporate/ showcase a statue from it other than the main campus. The idea was the not just focus on the just us, but ALL. Nice work. Glad to know that I wasn't crazy. lol

I love the shirt and I voted for it, but I'm pretty sure that's a picture of Hector from Phenix City, not Troy. That's definitely Bibb Graves in the background. Here is the original: View AttachmentAwesome! Thanks for that. I'd seen what I thought was the same picture when I was searching for photos of the Phenix City campus. Must've gotten them confused. Thanks again.

Is there any way you could help me out with this? I've been trying to find them ever since I lost my copy of Trojan Jams. Sure thing!! Do you live in Troy? If so, I can get you a copy of a few SOTS CDs anytime. If not, let me know when you will be in Troy for a game and I can meet you at Tailgate Terrace! Awesome! Thanks so much! I don't live in Troy anymore, but as soon as I decide which game I'll be at, I'll let you know. Thanks again!

I teach at a high school in Florida and we have a great football program, but since it's a small school, we don't get looked at.
I have a couple of players who could do great things at Troy, especially with some guidance. Does anybody know who I might need to call/email so I can shine a light on some of these kids? One of them already has an offer from Eastern and Western Michigan.

My computer recently bit the dust and had to get another one, does anybody got the Sound of the South CD's? I had them on my old computer. I usually can't get to TROY during the week to go get them directly and for some reason the TROY post office seems to not deliver to the thriving metropolis of Deatsville, Alabama... Could somebody help a Possum out? I can help you out. I'll try to burn you some CDs before Thursday. Is there any way you could help me out with this? I've been trying to find them ever since I lost my copy of Trojan Jams.

All I can add is in 1960-63 we did have scholarships! My understanding was we voted to leave NAIA to join NCAA Division 2 somewhere around 1970-72 And correct me if I'm wrong, but we never played D3 right?

Short version - We won 10 games last year, taking Clemson to the wire (we feel we got hosed on a call that resulted in a 14 pt swing) We were ranked #25 before losing a game we shouldn't have Our QB is a senior and will be a 4 year starter We return 100% of our rushing and receiving offense (you read that right, 100%) Our secondary led the nation in interceptions for a good part of the season, finishing in the top 10 We lost several starters on our offensive line, but we are not inexperienced or young there. Backups got a lot of playing time last year Defensive line is a question, as is our linebacking corp, but we should be ok. Summary, we were pretty good last season and shouldn't see any falloff. We should play you guys straight up and the game should be very entertaining. Don't overlook us. This pretty much covers it for the present.

Our run game is going to be unbelievable. DT is going into cruise control until season. Entertaining the idea of using some sky miles and heading to Idaho. But we play them at home this year.

Me too. I'm surprised the University hasn't made copies of it and a few other games. I know I'd buy them all. Those games aren't really property of the university unless you want a single shot camera with nothing else. The Missouri game, Oklahoma State, etc. are property of those TV stations and we can't sell them to people. How are Auburn and Alabama able to do that? And could we do that in the future?

Does anybody know of a link to this game? I've searched multiple times over the past few years, but I can't find it. I'd pay money to have a copy of it. Me too. I'm surprised the University hasn't made copies of it and a few other games. I know I'd buy them all.

Recruiting has never been something I cared much about. I'd rather see them playing than getting hyped about potential. This year, though, I decided to follow it more closely, which led me to this question. Aside from the recruit from EMCC this year, how many 4/5stars have we ever had?
By the time they're usually on my radar, they've become playmakers. Thanks for the help.

This might be slightly vitriolic, but while I am glad they have a program again, I hate UAB to my very core. When do we get to play them again? Because I want to beat the fire out of that lizard's mouth.

Conference Champs, as much as it hurts and irks me. We should have closed the deal against Southern. Closing the deal at Statesboro and at least "showing up" vs stAte would have made a difference. Two games that just made no sense. Southern will haunt me, but option is insane to stop. StAte was firing on all cylinders at the right time. Much as I hate both of those losses, I begrudgingly understand them.

We have a very tough game against Boise to start next season. If we can win it, I think it sets the tone for another powerful season. We also have a chance for redemption against LSU. Not because they are a big rival but because many of us on here knows what the victory over LSU would have meant for this program back when Coach Brown was the OC. Now Coach has a chance to put a stamp on our program in a big way with probably what will be the most talented offensive team Troy has ever had (Thats saying alot). I'm confident if the good Lord smiles on our great school again to be up by 4 TDs in Baton Rouge - Coach Brown brings home the W. I pray we have that chance and that this time he remembers that running the ball keeps the clock moving. I'll admit this game worried me about his merit for the HC job and I'm proud to say, thus far, I've eaten my words. I'm hoping for a buffet table soon to keep eating them.

and the other was, I think, simply "A History of Troy University" by Dr. Ed Hicks. This one was "History of Troy: The University" by Noel Kaylor.

16 team playoff. All conference champions get seeded 1-10. The 6 next best teams are seeded 11-16. First two rounds are held on campus of the higher seeded team, thereby giving smaller schools more revenue. Semis and final held just like they are now.

You could buy the textbook for the troy 101 class haha While I loved my time in Troy, I never want to go back to Orientation. I enjoyed learning more about Troy, but I hated that class.

I wondered if anyone here knew where I could find one of two books about the University. Either where to find them or if you don't want it anymore and would consider donating.
There's "Turning Points: A History of Troy University" by Dr. Doug Hawkins and the other was, I think, simply "A History of Troy University" by Dr. Ed Hicks.
Any help would be appreciated since neither Amazon, eBay, or Google have helped yet.
