When we have a smaller percentage of hard core Trojans than the degree holders only, we have a ceiling. Heck we don't have the alumni/ fan base for more than the Sun Belt anyway. The whole FBS deck is stacked against schools the likes of Troy anyway. Why do you think the LSU's of the world pay us the sums of money they do? Trust me beating them was a great achievement that brought tears of joy to this old Trojan and my family. We just can't do that on a regular basis. I’m sure when Redwaver and Troystet played at Troy they never envisioned Troy playing FBS, with a 30,000 seat stadium, a multi million dollar end zone facility, and 4 to 5 or more games on TV every year. Don’t sell this program short of what the future holds. Absolutely correct! I told Troyset in a debate that our era players would never have believed we would have had uniforms, equipment and facilities like he had and those have since been declared as unfit for today’s athletes. We played in an era when we won the conference championship 3 our if 4 years in baseball and the AD refused to send us to the regionals because it cost $3,000.00! An era where we rode a bus to a game in North Alabama and came home immediately after the game on the same bus. Yep, it’s a different time and one I constantly pinch myself to see if I’m dreaming even with the occasional disappointments we occasionally self inflict. Not only can we say “ it could be worse”, many of us lived through a time when IT WAS WORSE......MUCH WORSE! “We’ve come a looooooooog was baby”! Go Trojans!

I get peeved when I walk into the alumni house and see the alabama game on the tv.If you want to watch that go to Tuscaloosa or find a sports bar What’s wrong with watching games being played PRIOR to our game. Every tailgate does it. That’s the beauty of game day. You can only stand and talk or eat so long. As long as they go to the game, I’m good with watching whatever game you like!

Right now Troy just needs to tend to its own knitting, as LB would say. With one missed opportunity, maybe that was enough to encourage them to win out. You are so right but this years schedule fiasco will require a real upset now for us to have a second chance, maybe two and that is getting less and less likely. For a while tonight I thought we may be getting a reprieve for our “egg laying” Wednesday but it was not to be. Let’s hope!👍🏼🙏🏽

Can we win the Conference, since we don't play App State or ULM. Sadly schedules around the league don’t favor us doing it. Ap State did what we didn’t do and got the lead out in the second half and won, Their schedule is a peach from here on out. They don’t play us or Ark State so that hurts us as well. I hope I’m wrong but that’s one reason I’m not over last Wednesday yet. That was a HUGE game we lost!

I waiting for someone to blame the new red metallic helmets and mixed red and white uniforms in 5,4,3,2,1🙉😆👂 They looked great, even my wife loved them but we need to stop worrying about what combo and what we look like. The recievers need to earn those pretty gloves they are wearing or dip them in stick-um. Troy won a lot of games, National Championships and Conference Championships with literally a home jersey and white away jersey. All those combos don't make you play any better or worse That’s what we said about you guys in the 80’s and all the great stuff you had that we didn’t!😂😜😂😜

This was one of a bunch of questions last nights game concocted. “WHY” was the question I kept hearing from our crowd of former players. Why throw almost every play the first half? Why is Chunn not being utilized? Why do you fair catch a punt on the 2yard line? Why can’t the line Bloch more efficiently? Why do we never throw do we be ver the middle? Why did we not make changes at halftime? Why do you ATTEMPT to kick a field goal on 4 down late in the 4 th quarter when you have a kicker who hasn’t come close all night and you trail by 11. One would think it would have to be easier to tie if you can make the TD and go for the field goal later. Odds either way by then were slim and none that we could do both, we hadn’t gone much of either all night. Summary? DARN SHOCKING EXHIBITION ON NATIONAL TV! we throw the ball because that is what we’re best at. Why would we keep utilizing chunn when he has 4 fumbles in two games and he hasn’t been healthy. There’s a reason these fans aren’t coaches. Just sit back and watch. If CNB wants your help he will ask. Keep it cool my friend, it’s just post game frustrations and opinions coming out. If that didn’t happen this site would be worthless but I’m sure if the Administrators on the site need YOUR help determining what’s appropriate and what’s not, “HE WILL ASK”!

What I don't understand is... why does Troy run such a beautiful offense when they're trying to hurry up with two minutes left in a game, versus looking ugly on offense when they're taking their time? If Troy is down by 3 points in the last two minutes of every game from here on out, they'll probably win every game. THIS!! ⬆️⬆️ Said the same thing two weeks ago. It’s mystifying yo me. One time last night players were screaming yo get a play in but they had to just stand there and wait. This NASCAR offense has a blown engine and is spewing oil all over the field!

Underwood is a Jr and has kicked 3 pointers in the Boise and Akron games that I know of but probably done more. Why in GOD's name are we letting the drummer from Hanson kick? I mean d*mn! Call the soccer coach. Plum embarrassing! And that's just the way he looks! We were awful across the board last night but going for it on 4th and 11 instead of attempting the points when down is busch league. This was one of a bunch of questions last nights game concocted. “WHY” was the question I kept hearing from our crowd of former players. Why throw almost every play the first half? The biggest disappointment for me last night was the lack of an apparent offensive game plan, the absurdity of the play calling, going for it on 4th and 11 with a forced pass over the middle, then the same dang pass play on a 4th and 2 and running across the endzone when we are on our own 1 yard line. We have to be the slowest paced spread offense in the country. They made zero changes at halftime, zero......We lost to Boise because their coaches saw they needed to make a change at QB and spread the run to the corners....We make no changes then or last night.....Neal doesnt do changes. This loss last night, is on the players but in my opinion rest more on the coaches. Yep!

What did NB have to say after the game? The biggest loss of his tenure. They were the hungrier team. We were out played and out coached. This game was on him and the staff for not having the team prepared. There is a lot of football left and we have to focus on winning the next game. He was very disappointed in the effort and results. Turnovers and 1 for 4 in the red zone were too much to overcome. 30 yards total rushing, unacceptable. The above is a mixture of direct quotes and paraphrase for brevity sake, but that sums up his post game radio interview. We got out EVERYTHINGED!

We offically have the worst kicker in college football and that includes D2 and D3 Let’s be fair, the kicker has serious issues that we can’t afford but we couldn’t block my grandmother on the offensive line, we couldn’t catch a cold if it hit us in the face, we could fumble an octopus so it wasn’t any one player. The defense was sufficient to win but we had an offense to score ZERO points in 3 quarters on a 1-4 team. I mean we didn’t even scare the endzone for 45 minutes. We had a National TV audience and our offense decided to stay home to watch. I’m through, I’m still in a state of denial, had to be a bad dream......but we beat LSU! Tomorrow the sun will rise, we will breath in fresh free air...yes, there is still things to look forward to!😢😕😟😔

I love the idea of actually having the school color on the helmet for a change. Chrome is just a shiny version of silver. School colors are: cardinal, silver and black. Thank you! 👍🏼

We have been on the bottom 10 list. It's not fun. I want LSU to do well the rest of the way so it makes us look even better. I'm pulling for all of our conquered. (Even Boise of which I think we could beat now). Had to post this this morning on a LSU fan site after reading all their moaning and groaning! I’ll share because it makes me feel good!😂 “Thanks Al, as a Troy fan and former player, I wondered, as I read all these “what if’s” and “shoulda woulda’s” if ANYONE would actually give credit to the Troy kids for anything and the fact that maybe....just maybe they decided they wanted to prove to the team and fans of one of those schools that “plays real football” that they/we are not all as bad as you folks imply! Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Navy, and now LSU have learned that about Troy in the past. Had an official not blown a fumble call that was admitted to by other officials, Troy beats national champion Clemson last year. We have a majority of that team back this year so maybe your coach, team and ESPECIALLY FANS didn’t give us the respect we deserved! Yea, you have more of everything than these smaller schools except maybe the determination to shut up the braggarts. We never overlook any opponent, maybe y’all did....or maybe on a hot night in September 2017 in Death Valley a small D1 School was simply better than you!”

Maybe they could say we played a pretty darn good football team who outplayed us because the game was not as close as the score indicated.

We had an LSU fan on the shuttle back tell us we wouldn't have won without that extra two seconds, but we kindly reminded him of all the missed calls against LSU that helped them attempt a come back. He didn't say anything after that. Glad to finally win against the SEC refs, too. The clock clearly showed time on the clock when the receiver went down. First down so clock is suppose to stop no matter what someone from LSU thinks! One guy blamed Flakes for “a dirty hit below the knees to get their QB out of the game”! Clearly a good hit well above the waist. They are just sore losers and they can’t rationalize losing to little ol’ us and I LOVE IT!

We had a big win over LSU no question. We also blew a 17-0 lead and almost went to overtime. We lost to Boise, beat a lousy SWAC team, beat NMSU by 3, and scored with a minute to go to beat Akron. Let's worry about beating South and the rest of the belt. Right now I'm sorry we still aren't a top 25 team. Let's beat some of the belt teams handily then we will talk rankings This! The next game is always the most important game. One game at a time. My only rebuttal Troyset is I think you have a tendency to often underestimating the teams we play. NMSU is not a bad team! Akron is better than 90% of theBelt this year. We had a chance to beat a decent Boise team. The remainder of our schedule ought to be in our favor......but it was last year as well and we know how that turned out but I think maybe these kids can finally finish the job!

If they would play that Twitter video of Hemi dancing with 5 minutes to go in the game - I think 96.47% of the fans that left at the half would stick around? Thoughts anyone! Oh, Hemi please dance with beer in hand next time Haha. I thought more of our section would participate, however that didn't happen. With those mad dancing skills I would like spill my beer. Chrome is the best looking helmet we wear but that’s just MY opinion. When we wear White, who are we trying to be, ULM or Penn St? When we wear red who are we trying to be, Alabama? Just look good and win the darn game. We've worn cardinal mostly continuously since 2004 and for most of our history. All three of our national championships came with cardinal helmets. So when we wear cardinal we are being ourselves. For white, I can see your point. It looked good, but 2016 was the first time we'd ever worn it. Guess I just don’t get into the “we can’t wear any thing except what we’ve always worn” concept. Reminds me of Penn State and Alabama. Both of those are the most boring uniforms in the country. Hey, even LSU wore WHITE helmets last night. Also, why is it only football uniforms that should be relegated to one style only? Why not baseball, basketball, softball soccer, etc.? I like the change, virtually every team is doing it now. It’s a recruiting tool but it’s just my opinion and different opinions are good!👍🏼

Yes, we are Troy. We are not being original, we are trying to be trendy and copying the Oregon’s of the world. We need to build a brand, a look, define who we are. A cohesive uniform does this. It’s Marketing 101. When I am at watch parties and we are wearing a hodge podge of different colors from head to toe and non Troy fans comment who is playing because our unis look like some intern threw a dart to pick this weeks color arrangement, I just smh. One person asks why we wear colors that are not our primary colors ? We need to build a scheme , an identity, so everyone knows our brand when they see it. JMO. I like the power T also. It is becoming recognizeable and being related to Troy. See how that works. Now we just need unis that don’t look like a five year old dressed themselves with mismatched outfits each week. But The DISCO man is right, just win all the games and nobody will care ! I couldn't care less if NB kids pick the unis...the team is winning and I consider the conversation moot. The women that attended the camp this year picked the 1st combo, let the kids pick some too. I wish we would have stayed with the bright red we had in the 50-60’s when we were the Red Wave. It seems we tried to copy Alabama when we went to cardinal. The colors then were bright red black and white but that was another time. We were tied to the Crimson Tide back then by our coaching history via the Red Wave monikers so the Trojans was a natural and welcomed change but I wished we would have stayed away from that Alabama shade of red! JMHO!

2008 Troy collapse at LSU turned upset into infamyKen Rogers krogers@dothaneagle.com 14 hrs ago TROY – Levi Brown knew the questions would come this week. A former Troy University quarterback and now a graduate assistant for the Trojans, Brown has been answering them for nine years now. You know the ones. Questions that start “What happened …?” or “How could …?” They all center on a game that got away, an upset that would have ranked as the biggest in Troy football history. While the Trojans prepare for Saturday night’s game against LSU, their most recent trip to Tiger Stadium – on Nov. 15, 2008 – nearly produced a memory Troy fans would cherish. ... ... ... Good Lord I hate being reminded of this fiasco. The language I used as I listened to that 4th quartet, I will be asking forgiveness for forever. “Run the dang football, stop throwing it, good grief....run out the clock!”😡
