Let's bring white rally towels to the game against South next week. There was a strong showing last year when we played App State at home. Looked great on TV and helped bring the whole stadium together (students, band, fans)!! Spread the word!

FEED CHUNN!! That will open up the passing game. Offensive play calling and execution is terrible.

I can help you out. I'll try to burn you some CDs before Thursday. Is there any way you could help me out with this? I've been trying to find them ever since I lost my copy of Trojan Jams. Sure thing!! Do you live in Troy? If so, I can get you a copy of a few SOTS CDs anytime. If not, let me know when you will be in Troy for a game and I can meet you at Tailgate Terrace!

I have to admit... I have been very skeptical of Cunningham for a couple years. But the end of the season plus the showing at tournament has me very excited! This team is on fire right now!

I've only been a Trojan since 2011, so I don't have many years to choose from... But I know exactly which is my favorite: the Eric Thomas game-winning TD catch against South Alabama with seconds left! I was literally in tears while playing the fight song with the best band in the land.
Coming to Troy is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love Troy University, Trojan Football, the Sound of the South, and all the friends I've made that have now become my family. We are Trojans, one and all!

My computer recently bit the dust and had to get another one, does anybody got the Sound of the South CD's? I had them on my old computer. I usually can't get to TROY during the week to go get them directly and for some reason the TROY post office seems to not deliver to the thriving metropolis of Deatsville, Alabama... Could somebody help a Possum out? I can help you out. I'll try to burn you some CDs before Thursday.

Cry Havoc!

With Mighty warriors clad in strongest armor, and well prepared to recieve the lot dealt by fate, the contest is at hand. And the commander's spirit, raging for revenge, shall, in a monarchs voice, cry Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war. Is it "raging for revenge" or "ranging for revenge"? It sounds like he says ranging, but that doesn't make as much sense as raging. It is "ranging."

What is the full monologue? I can't remember the whole thing and want to put it in my classroom. "And so, with mighty warriors clad in strongest armor and well-prepared to receive the lot dealt by fate, the contest is at hand. And the commander's spririt, ranging for revenge, shall in a monarch's voice cry, 'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war." Based on a line in Julius Caesar, Act 3, Scene 1.

I am guessing 1000 to 2000 from App State - I have no idea what the allotment of tickets is/was! I do know they will have a good crowd and we should all welcome them to campus (not that we won't). I think we hit 27,000 announced this weekend, if they bring 2000 or more. Bring a WHITE TOWEL!!!!!!!! App State fans were very welcoming to us last year. Probably the most pleasant experience I've had at an away game. I hope we are all very welcoming to their fans. However, once I enter the stadium... It's GAME ON!!! GO TROJANS!!!

1800 TOWELS!!!!!!! Are you going to be there waving the towel? Are you going to get up from your seats? Are you going to be loud?
I know one company that is excited for this game is this towel company www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AMOYBG2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 they sold out of all the 60 packs and just added 30 more. You are welcome towel company. Purchase a pack and message me for the address or bring a pack with you and give out to the fans near you. Hi, I am with the Sound of the South. Many students have heard of this effort. Will you be able to provide the band with approximately 350 towels for the game? If you don't mind sharing your email with me, we can set up a time to meet this week. If you could give me those towels, I can hand them out to the band on Saturday.

Wow...someone had a good idea and acted on it....and I would bet the cost of four of those tickets that the fact NB has involved his guys in regular student life has not harmed this process that the SGA &SAS are doing ...just want to say in advance to Friday classes on the 21st sorry profs...the students are not going to be worth a dang!!! And this is a great idea I know a few professors that will probably cancel class on Friday because they will more than likely be at the game themselves!!!

Renovations take longer in Troy, AL than anywhere else?? I haven't noticed any changes to anything or any work being done since they closed. It looks abandoned. I've noticed the same. I actually stopped in the parking lot the other day and looked in the windows. Everything is exactly the same as it was when they "closed for renovations."

The Conference voted to split the schedules this year ... women play Thursday/Saturday & the men play Saturday/Monday. Thanks for the info. Looking forward to basketball season!

I just compared the men's and women's conference games, and there are several dates that do not line up to create double headers. For instance, there are a few occasions where the women play a single home game and then there is a double header 3 days later. And then 2 days later, there is a single men's home game. Any ideas why the schedule was shifted? The addition of Coastal? Maybe a misprint on the schedules online? I just hate to think it would affect attendance for either team.

TMTDM was embarrassingly dominant in '87. Went to every game, home and away including West Texas State and the infamous Vodka and Dr. Pepper Challenge. Can someone please tell me what TMTDM stands for??? I have been trying to figure it out for a couple years now with no luck.......

This is my first year out of the band here, and my family/friends want to tailgate this weekend. Just a quick question: Do we have to pay for or reserve a spot to tailgate if we do it away from Tailgate Terrace?
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to this weekend!

I was told by a member of Athletics that the cost of the banners would be equivalent to someone's salary. They said that they don't want to have to choose between someone's salary and a banner. I was also told the banners would lose their "wow factor" after a few games. Just reporting what I was told.

I overheard a few people ask about the band at the Clemson game and I have seen a few questions about the band on here. I thought I could give some info on the travel schedule. The FULL band is going to USA. A pep band is going to Georgia Southern.
I can also give a little insight as to how the band comes up with its travel schedule. Over the summer, the band staff comes up with a budget proposal for the entire fall season. This budget includes the following: plans for full band to go to every game, plans for pep band to go to every game, and plans for the full band to go to a few high school marching competitions (the band's form of recruiting). This budget is handed directly to university administration. Administration looks at all proposals and chooses which trips the band will go on.
I just wanted to give out those details so there is no confusion. University administration--not the band staff--makes the call on where the band goes.
This is my first year out of the band. I know everyone wants the band everywhere all the time, but I'm guessing it has something to do with budget cuts. Not really sure. But know they are ready to demolish South Alabama's band in October.
