You got that right, bet they aren't PLEASE with that matchup. Ohio is giving WMU more than they can handle tonight. WMU 26 Ohio 23. Only 7 minutes remaining. Both are good looking teams. The Ohio D looks really tough

Hmmm, done a great job with athletes who could not make grades?? Troy has no problem recruiting these same juco athletes he coached and don't the other juco's have the same type players? and you have to have the same grades to play D2 and FCS as D1. Steve is a winner and one heck of a coach. And don't we have a pretty successful woman's basketball coach who transitioned pretty well from juco?? As for now NB is our coach and I'm hoping he stays but while fully realizing he will leave for the right job. Don't know the man from Adam and he might be just the ticket but # 1, we've got a head coach and #2 given he's as good as you say he is and I'm sure he is, why has some other coaching job at DI not hired him? There has been a lot of them in 20 years and given he's never had a losing season should have put him on top of a lot of job vacancy list? I like that he is a Troy man but you have to wonder.

One of the ESPN guys has us in NO vs South. Miss! That would be fun! I remember when we lost to them in overtime in the bowl ... great atmosphere! That was my first Troy bowl ... amazing. of course, tough ending ... but great bowl game!

Just glancing at it ... it's very interesting! Of course they leave out ULM and Idaho and New Mexst are already leaving. I think it would be great to try to form some natural/geographic rivalries ... Us, USA, USM, UAB, and even Middle Tn in a conference ... that would be fun!!

Utah State seems a bad loss. But Toledo and Auburn are obviously talented/good FBS teams, and Campbell's UCA is a strong FCS team I'm sure they wanted to win all...just didn't get it done...but they are still strong team. Now, Mandel could also look at a team like USA... beats a ranked SAN Diego st. And an SEC team ...but has only one SBC win. Anyway sure is fun to be in these conversations. We keep winning ...and we stay in the conversation! Go Troy

The reason for the 8:30 kick off is because I called Troy and told them that my boys had their 1st HS basketball game that night and there was no way we could make it to a 6:00 pm game...LOL...I for one am glad it is a late kick because now I at least get to see the 2nd half at worst...I have instructed my boys to go straight to the car after their game..No shaking hands and no going to the locker room for changing and after game speeches..if anyone in stadium hears tires squealing or sees a car on 2 wheels, that is just family and me arriving to game. That's the Dang Spirit!! Go Troy!

For me Mizzou,OSU, (had to miss Marshall) and this one....so great!! To think we could add one to that list in 5 days....THE DREAM CONTINUES !!! I didn't get to make it for those other games. So for me, that was the best night/game experience at the Vet!! The energy, passion, excitement!! Just amazing! We had some great games in the 80s ... but the whole experience is just so different. I never could've dreamed we'd have nights like last night!! It's similar to the first Bowl Game I got to go to ... the 08 New Orleans ... to come out on the concourse and see the sea of folks in cardinal ... waving the towels!!! So last night was right up there! Great Job Coaches, Players, staff, band, students, fans!!! I'm always and forever a Trojan ... but it sure is a great TIME to be ONE!! Now ... let's get geared up for Thursday Night ... and and really, really good/dangerous ArkSt team!! Go Trojans!!!

I agree with your sentiments regarding them being endzone seats. I'm amazed at how well premium endzone seats sell if attached to an indoor "club". Those at the in state school northwest of us are REALLY expensive yet, based on statements made by some co-workers, you have to get on a waiting list if you want one of them. Some people, especially those of us who played and coached football, like to watch the game as it develops, sort of playing QB or Safety from their seat. For those that like the"theatre" of the game, the 50 yard line is premium. Just depends on your perspective. As for cost, CAN NOT IMAGINE the cost would be more than $tadium Club, which are $600 per seat, which in FBS, is A BARGIN! Just SUPER EXCITED to F I N A L L Y get this project underway. These are exciting times in the Troy University Athletics World!! I just wonder if winning has anything to do with it?πΈπΈππ Yeah ... always like the endzone view. If I recall in the press conference, AD said that the price point would be between regular season seats and Stadium Club. Yes ... excited to see it moving forward! Let's think BIG for the future of Troy!! One other thought ... if we do open it for the 18 opener with Boise ... I think could be symbolic ... we want to do what they were able to do, so what better way to continue our progress by making two statements that day: cutting the ribbon on our new complex ... and Beating Boise!! Go Troy!!

not bad for a non conference game I think we hit 24K to 25K next week - in large part because App State brings a good crowd - i think they bring 1000 to 2000 Announced 21,000. There was maybe 12,000-14,000 in stands. I think it must've been close to the 21,000. Several folks around me made comments about how it turned out to be a descent crowd. Could see the upper deck, but lower home side filled in pretty good. Endzone filled in and students came in late. I think 20,000 actual easily ... In my opinion ... and got pretty spirited once we got going.

Yeah, I mentioned issue to Steve also. Of course, I guess it's a "good problem" to have ... first time in years we're dealing with an issue of Crowds!! Over the last 5 years you could just about park and/or sit where you wanted! Hopefully we can keep dealing with the issue of Too Many Fans! Go Troy!

Just watching for a minute. They're walking right down the field on SC. Apparently they had 2 turnovers ... behind 14. We don't see many pro-style/power offenses. They look pretty good. We need to be ready ... every week!!!

Great stuff! Love the quote from their fan ... classic. The commentator suggested something interesting ... said maybe this needs to be a Thursday night rivalry game every year? Interesting thought I agree. Possibly the only coherent thought they had all night. I know, right! I expected the Walker guy to break out the South fight song at any moment. But I did love how they really praised the Troy fans as the game went on!

FYI: College graduation rates for the student body are universally low...Athletes have a higher graduation rate than regular students - they have to graduate where as the lowly student spends most of his time chasing tail down at the Front Porch or getting reading for formal at Lake Eufaula. Overall Graduation Rates can be a bit deceiving. The way it is for Community Colleges (and I'm pretty sure for 4-years as well) ... the rates only look at "first-time, full-time" students. So, only those students who enter as freshmen who take at least 12 hours of courses each Fall/Spring with no break. So, for instance, if a student (maybe someone paying their own way or with family issues, etc.) needed to take a semester off to work, or they wanted to drop down to "pt-time" like 9 hrs for a semester, etc. ... they no longer count toward the the graduation rates ... even if they have 4.0 and eventually graduate with honors. That's why, typically, athletes will show a higher graduation rate. Just like students on any kind of scholarship ... they are required to be enrolled full-time, continuously.

Need to rest and look at what we did wrong this break. Need to work on ball security, eye discipline on defense, more self-control for less penalties. I know we did some good, but we need to fix the bad that happened last night Agreed ... but always more fun to make corrections after a win!! Championship teams do what it takes to win ... and keep improving. I believe these guys will be ready to play their best football the last 5 weeks of the season! And really ... this is when the conference will be decided. If we want to be champions ... we have to beat the other top teams: App, ArkSt, and GASou! I believe the guys have gotten a taste of winning ... it's addictive!! Great to be a Trojan!!!
