They need to get them away from the visitors or give them red pompoms or something. Yellow pompoms were multiplying like rabbits over there and their cheerleaders were getting them into the game.

Yeah I didn't like that either. I'm sure some could have been from the State of NC or went to App but not that many.

Agree. A couple of years ago we had the military on the west side in the endzone. The cheerleders were in the stands, and the military folks loved it. Great game! GO TROY

Yeah, I was grumbling about those yellow pom poms too. Not a good way to show thanks to the school who was recognizing you, etc. (do they get in for free, or do they buy their tickets?)

If you are a young soldier or airman and a cute young cheerleader smiles, winks at you, and hands you a shaker, you don't care what color the shaker is! We can easily fix the problem by having our cheerleaders meet them with cardinal and black shakers when they get off the bus!

Um the answer would have been for our University/Athletics Department to pay for and give the military white towels and to explain who the home team is I love our Military and thank go for them but if you are a guest in my house and you insult me by cheering for the enemy of the day, you will be asked to leave - sorry but that was classless

We sat them on the visitor side and let the visitors' cheerleaders entertain them through the whole game. Fault lies with whoever set up seating. And I still can't figure out where all those pompoms where coming from. Were the App people giving them theirs or did their athletics bring them for their fans? Either way, props to the App folks for that. We'll do better to take care of our guests next time. (=
