Literally and figuratively whipped the GATA eagles. Word on the street is that coach Cross took Mr Ho’s challenge personally.

I can’t remember if I’ve put this here or not but for those that don’t know, you can support Trojans Together Collective and our friends at Trojan Threads by going to our website, www.trojanstogethercollective.com click the menu button and then “shop”. David has created some really awesome gear.

I’m still taking the stairs and today was one of the best basketball days in Troy history. Great job by the Trojan fans for showing up and congrats on the men and women for big wins.
Ho, your egg drop soup sucks. Enjoy the elevator rides!

Tough loss last night at Mitchell Center. I'm glad to see that even though we couldn't buy a three in the first half (odd that it happens at the Mitchell Center frequently), we kept it close and warmed up in the second half. The men can shoot well, but they have other ways to win. Yeah the effort was solid too. Down 10, then took a 1 point lead Down 13, got it to 3 at the end

We've had that position in the past as well. It was Caleb Ross past few years. Yep, nothing new here other than the Leadership part in his title

Thanks FoulPole guy. I'd love to get on here and tell you how much we have raised, but that's not happening. We've got contacts within the industry / conference and have the pulse of others. USM, Georgia Southern, App and Marshall all do a good job. Coastal shut their collective down and others still don't have one. As for USM, they "ballpark" raised $500K, so take it for what it's worth. It's a marathon, not a sprint. As for our rank, we are not where we need to be.... we are exactly 5 months removed from our public launch on Friday and as FoulPole said, we are waiting on the IRS to approve our non profit side which will officially change the game in a positive way. The IRS hired 26,000 new employees at roughly the same time our 501(c)3 request was submitted, to say their timing sucked would be an understatement. As for now, we are doing everything through local businesses and those businesses are seeing great results and telling their friends. I just got back from a meeting with a prospective business when I saw this post. I have one tomorrow and one Friday as well. As always, if you want to give ANY dollar amount, let me know. If you own a business or know someone that we have not talked with and their business would make a great fit with us, let me know. Lastly, support those who support the Collective, let them know you're doing business with them because of their support. www.trojanstogethercollective.com/membersteam@trojanstogether.com 334-268-1021 my cell Jason Jones

Was hoping to hear who the OC would be at last night's Zoom call. Still in the works apparently but it sounded like it could be any day now. Who are y'all thinking it'll be? I think it's Tim Lester. Football Scoop reported a while back that we are waiting on the Packer's season to end to finalize the deal. I don't know if that's a courtesy, or if we can't legally sign a deal with him until after the season because of NFL contracts. Yeah Josh Boutwell predicted this a couple weeks ago

I don't know if that's a courtesy, or if we can't legally sign a deal with him until after the season because of NFL contracts. In the call he did mention that there was a, I think a running back, from the school of the potential OC so it wouldn't be an NFL deal. My memory is a bit hazy on that though. He said it was a member of the staff, not the OC. That commitment has already been announced on social media

It appears that Gary Banks, Caleb Carbine, and all of the recently departed coaches not withstanding, there are quality, experienced, and smart football people out there that don't have TROY ties. Let me be clear, lest I cause a dust up, I have ZERO problems with hiring people with TROY connections. In fact, I think there are former players and perhaps some former coaches who would be good coaches for the TROJANS, but I'm glad ADBJ and HCGP haven't limited their search to those with TROY ties. We still have to play 14 games but I am eagerly anticipating the '24 season. I think we will see new and different things in The VET. I was explaining to someone yesterday that I’d never heard of Tayler Polk, Sheil Wood, Coach Gas and many others until the last two years. They all turned out just fine. I like this group, they have ties from ACC to Big 10, The Notre Dame and all over the south. Talking to one of the guys yesterday and he mentioned a high school coach who is a friend, he’s a local guy who is now in Florida that I’ve known for years. These guys have fingerprints all over our recruiting area. We are gonna be just fine.

Thus far TJ, DG, Jayden and Jabre have set themselves up to make big money and do bigger things. I’m proud for them and if that’s what happens to all portal guys, then good for them. There are several in the portal from Troy who will see the grass is not greener and may still be sitting in the portal on Labor Day weekend.
This staff is working hard and has already landed a few difference makers.

What a game today. No Myles Rigsby, low point total from Jackson Fields and Thomas Dowd but the defense was phenomenal and others stepped up on offense. Heck of win today. 3-0 in conference play, yeah that works.

Kimani’s mom here ☺️. I know this post is super late but we’ve been incredibly busy. I have been on this discussion post since we first joined the Troy family 4 years ago. I have never posted here but wanted to share with you all the gratitude we feel for all the experiences we have had as a family at Troy. Thank you to all of you and to Trojan Nation for all you have done and do to support these young men. Your support means everything! The players give it their all to work hard and make untold sacrifices for the game and school they love! This has been a wild ride and no matter where this journey takes us, we will forever cherish our time at EVERY Troy game. I have enjoyed learning Troy’s history from all of you, sharing your frustrations and celebrating our victories. We aren’t pulling up roots completely because we invested in the city that invested in our son. Keep up the great work and…Go Troy!! Mrs Vidal, y’all raised one heck of a young man and an awesome football player. Can’t wait to see him at the next level. I told y’all what’s said on this board is read by people y’all don’t think about.

College Football should separate P5 and G5 Create playoff for both - make things allot more fun to watch BOWL season has been meh imo this year Congrats to Tez! He balled out for sure Essentially that would be 1A and 1AA all over again IF the NCAA presidents plan goes through for NIL funds being generated by the school and each school has to have X million in cash, we will have two leagues. One with the big boys and one with the rest of us.

1st, very sad that a young lady lost her life. Prayers for her family, friends and former teammates
2nd, the reporting by the media SUCKS. Do your homework and see that she was no longer on the team. It's in the full story from Troy, but none of the media include that, just the click bait for more likes.

Yeah, I saw his post as well. Of the players we lost, I suspect 3 of them will get money that a G5 will never have. Could be one or two who get something, but not much. Does our collecetive need to grow, absolutely. Will it grow, absolutely. Is the IRS hindering our growth, yep. We are 130 days old, launched earlier than we planned because we knew waiting on the IRS letter could mean another 6 months or a year so we "openend for business" earlier than planned. Our second semester payments to student athletes are much better than our 1st semester was. I doubt Troy will ever be a school that pays everybody something, but we will make sure we help as many as we can. Those who are in the collective are very appreciative and go out of their way to thank us for what we are doing. I say all that to say, his tweet makes it appear the ONLY reason is money. That's false. Very false.

You’re not wrong. NIL deals can essentially be done with anybody. Bama is paying NIL $$ to players who are already gone.
NCAA does not govern bands though, so therefor no such thing as impermissible benefits.

The band issue was bad info from those kids. Nothing wrong with giving them anything, they are not NCAA student athletes.
A meal at Sister's however would be bad! A meal at Sister's as part of an NIL agreement between student athlete and Sister's to promote their brands would be perfectly fine.

In July, he told me that we would probably take some lumps this season, but it's okay because 2024 could be very special. He felt really good about the younger guys coming up for next season. So the narrative of leaving before he had to rebuild is false.
