Troy has two really good basketball teams. The Men's team simply "out-hustles" the competition and the Ladies' out run them. If you haven't seen them in person, you're missing something special. They're just plain fun to watch.

Point on! We saw the Men's game Saturday, the first we've been able to attend since early December.
Thet have gelled into a very competitive and Athletic bunch!

Tough loss last night at Mitchell Center. I'm glad to see that even though we couldn't buy a three in the first half (odd that it happens at the Mitchell Center frequently), we kept it close and warmed up in the second half. The men can shoot well, but they have other ways to win.

Blowing an 18-point lead in the second half is worth some suspensions, right?

Don’t want to hear anything about the non-travel at the end. Don’t blow an 18 point second half lead

Welp, we’re an NCAA Tournament team at home and bottom of the SoCon or SWAC on the road.

Welp, we’re an NCAA Tournament team at home and bottom of the SoCon or SWAC on the road. Darn, Home Crowd DOES make a difference?? Be there at Home Games. Make a difference! HC Frost say: Head coach Scott Cross gave his thoughts following the game: "I thought our guys played hard. We did a good job offensively and shooting the basketball. We got a little bit out of rhythm from what we were trying to do, but we had the big lead in the second half and we let it slip away. It's disappointing. We knew it wasn't going to be easy coming in here, but I am proud of the guys battling and giving us an opportunity to win this game."

Wow! Today was fun. The ladies FOUGHT their way to an OT win by dominating the OT period. They never quit.
The men played a tough, physical game against a very physical 🚫 team. The boys from Mobile, where the TROJANS have their vacation home, came out for their pre game shoot around and EVERY ONE of them were wearing under garments that had pads on the ribs and the back. I wasn't in the locker room when the decision was made to do that, but I guarantee it was an attempt to intimidate our men by saying, "Look at us, we are wearing pads so that we can play through the contact we are bringing". It didn't work. Our guys took all 🚫 brought and won by seven (OK, by 4, but the final 3 pointer was uncontested at the buzzer).
The crowd was huge, and it was electric. Our students wore out the Jags from the opening tip. I wish all of our BB games were like this, and they could be. All it takes is for folks to show up.
