In July, he told me that we would probably take some lumps this season, but it's okay because 2024 could be very special. He felt really good about the younger guys coming up for next season. So the narrative of leaving before he had to rebuild is false.

Caleb Ransaw and Derrick Graham have entered IF I were a betting man ... CR ends up in NO ... those north Alabama ties run deep. I think Ransaw ends up on a P5 roster

Any advantage to make a corporate donation vs individual……I’m guessing neither is deductible? Fantastic question. As it stands right now, we’re still waiting on our 501(c)3 status to be approved. The Red Wave Fund will be tax deductible once that happens. Any individual will be able to give there and know those funds are being used to promote non profits. CardiNIL corporate is strictly businesses using the collective to promote their brand. For instance, y’all see Jones Medical Supply advertising this way and I’m able to deduct as a business expense for advertising. Full disclaimer, consult your cpa for all tax questions.

Spot onâ¦â¦The Sun Belt Conference is the gateway to future stout contractsâ¦â¦Malzahn,Freeze,Harsin,Drinkwitz,Brown,Sumrall,Cignetti,Satterfield all profited handsomely by taking sun belt jobs. Fans thinking we were scraping the bottom of the barrel to hire Notre Dameâs OC seems misguided I'm glad you are impressed by the title of Notre Dame OC. To quote Shania, that don't impress me much and that in no way means he'll be good at being THE man in the big chair. So, in that "pros" column wishlist of what I want vs. what I got and some possibilities I liked more before AND once I knew who the hire was (which will answer your question, Hemi). Proven success at leading a college football program |||||||||| Proven success at running an offense at a notable school. Bill Clark |||||||||| (The HC we don’t speak of) Lindsay
Rich Rodriguez Cadillac Williams*** Freddie Kitchens ***only an interim head coach but is currently more successful as interim than 0-6, particularly after each taking over a program basically in shambles. This is just to name a few of my preferables and they're not in order and don't include coaches we know but have no HC xp which would expand my very impromptu and short list WAY further and still wouldn't have Parker's name show up yet. Were I to include coaches without HC xp, I think I might could arrive at 20 names before I hit Parker's. Sean Reagan, Gasperano (spelling intentional), Charles Kelly, and Matt Moore just to name a quick few before I head to Christmas lunch. We could argue the merits of each of these candidates and I'm certain every fan on this board would have their own reasons on why each of these would or wouldn't be a good fit but that wasn't Hemi's question. And Parker might turn out to be better than our last coach! But to me, it is a complete roll of the dice on what is basically an unknown. Remove Bill Clark from the conversation. He’s loving retirement life. He’d lose his retirement dollars and he’s been out of the game two years with no interest in coming back right now. Wasted internet space.

Well said. This senior class has been through the highs and lows of Troy Football. Gunnar actually played for 3 head coaches, 3 strength coaches and 3 different OC’s. The OL played for 5 OL coaches if you count the bowl game. They persevered and set the tone for what Troy football can be. As bad as the loss to Duke sucks, I woke up this morning reminding myself we won 11 games this season and 23 in the past two seasons. That’s incredible and we have our seniors to thank for that.
The future is bright. I look forward to seeing who GP brings in for this staff and what we can do over the course of this next year.

I’ll say the stadium club tickets and seats were worth the money. Would love to see Troy revamp the SC to be more like this one. Not more Like UAB, just more like that stadium. Inquiring mind wants to know >>> What features make Protective Club a better venue?? Actual working kitchen area with pregame food options, a different menu for 1st half then it changed again in the 2nd half. All were good and clearly not our Sodexo. It was larger open area just based on a smart design, nothing we can do about that part and plenty of high top tables to hang out. They actually checked wristbands ant two checkpoints to ensure you belonged in the area, unlike the hard workers in Troy. The amount of people who buy GA tickets yet enjoy the amenities in Troy is sad. They had free sodas and beer plus a cash bar. The stadium seats that came with the tickets were along the 50 and nice padded chairs.

Our assistant pool is top two in the SBC. No idea where that ranks in G5 but it’s solid for SBC
Yes the collective is growing and we are working as hard as we can I promise.
We spent some good time with GP the last couple days.

Does anyone else on this board believe that Coach Gas and Sumrall could pass as brothers? No, but if I’m only listening and not seeing them. I can’t tell the difference between Gas and Neal

How bout we start a pool and all profits go to the collective? I have $50 on Jordan Lesley! You’re speaking my language. Pool for the Collective is the best idea to come from this board

I hate to ruin the fun but you know these interviews never happen in Troy right. Can’t sneak around this city for interviews Nowhere to hide. So, you’re saying our flight watchers should be more focused on planes flying OUT of Troy, as opposed to those flying in. That’s quality insider info. Once again, it’s Jonesy for the win👍😂 Let me clarify because I can assure you, I know nothing about this specific search. In years past, the interviews have been off-site and I don't see that changing now when everyone can search flights and such. I hear the weather is perfect in Kansas City right now.

Brent hired Skylar Meade, Jon Sumrall and essentially Scott Cross (AD what's his name was halfway out the door) . I say that to say, our AD has a solid track record of hiring head coaches for the big 3 sports. Look at the attitude and effort all 3 of those have on the court / field. Their energy is unmatched and reflects the kind of energy Brent has as well.

Nice to see that commitment. But correct me if wrong, he is not eligible for another transfer but could go pro ? Dude can ball, Major talent. Troy’s next NFLer He could transfer as many times as he wants too. He just can’t have immediate eligibility
