Missouri rank #12. ESPN1 televise game. Mike Turico, Lee Cortso and Kurt Herbs%rest do game. Yeah, that biggest game ever so far. Not sell out but close and Athletic Director at time make no effort to promote anything other than how great he was. And Jill Arrington sat behind me at the Waffle House the morning of the game!

Don’t want to be the enemy here but I understand the CFA thing. I know Andrew, he is very supportive of Troy and on game days his staff is Troy and Troy only. I don’t think they could do a better job than they currently do during the season. If they have to do the goofy poll statewide, so be it. They were in a lose - lose situation as soon as it was posted.

When we played USM a couple years back, I went on a tour of their facilities. One thing that I thought was cool (and a little gimmicky)was each locker had another number printed in small numbers. It was their ring size to help motivate them to conference championships.
Yes I said it was a gimmick but still cool

You're wrong Ho, message board guy has said for years that the CUSA was better than Sun Belt. Message board guy always right

In January I made reservations for several football dates at the local Best Western in Troy, AL. I'm a platinum rewards member and all reservations were made with the typical 24 hour cancelation policy. However, the hotel just changed its policy and charged me for all of my reservation dates and sent me this new policy letter. If you made a reservation at the Best Western in Troy for a football date in 2018, your card has been charged and you cannot cancel. I plan to be there, but the fact that they changed their policy after my reservations were made is pretty shady. Surf Report:No Surf. Air temp is 80, water is 84, wind is blowing out of the SE at 3-6 mph. It took me a couple days to think of this but the schedule isn’t announced until early March which is roughly 6 months prior to the first home game. The GM of this property is way off base with this garbage.

Not looking good for their new home stadium. Not getting the support from the city that they expected. Much like UAB, they do not get the full support of their city.

I'm gonna assume we need to consistently have sell outs which we've never actually had.

It seems to be the pay thing as BP went for about $30k more. Makes sense that they have extra cash laying around. They currently don't have to spend money on: - power bill for football stadium
- Maintenance on football stadium
- locks on sorority house doors to protect the pretty ladies
- trophy case
- water bill for baseball stadium (watered it enough a few years back vs Troy to last decades)
- tooth brushes for students
- any new facility upgrades

Silvers had the arm strength but not the legs. These two guys have the legs and need to prove their arms. Our offense should be better as a whole once Barker / Smith get it figured out. I have full confidence in either of them as well as the staff change on offense.

One positive I cam up with, for DH's women always tipped at 5:15, that's impossible to make if you're not right here in Troy. I would assume the new tip-off time would be 6:30-7:00 ish and would allow for more out of town people.

It's gonna be interesting for sure. I personally like it as it eliminates us having to work the DH's which make for a long night.

CRAZY!!! I asked this question to those who are more baseball minded than I am, they thought it had to do with his position? I'm with you all though, dude is a winner on and off the field, flippin conference player of the year and nothing?!?!?!

Two good points here: 1) I was told by a usually reliable source that Troy U's access to the bond market was maxed out a couple year ago. Could have changed in the meantime. Dunno. 2) The concession stand. I think the concession facilities could serve for several more years but Sodexo has done such a consistently poor job of management, ad nauseum. The concession model that I like is to assign each stand to a local school band group, Boy Scout troop, SOTS volunteers, church group and let VOLUNTEERS from those organizations staff the concession for a cut of sales/profits. It would build tremendous community support and most likely improve the performance of the concessions at no labor cost to the University. Food for thought. Wasn't able to attend a game last year because of Aunt Irma and her evil sister later but do they have anyone going around selling cokes, hot dogs etc. Seems like another way to increase sales. How many of us would buy a beer or soda and not stand in line or miss a play. They do have the guys who walk around selling cokes and cotton candy... but I think they could double that number.

Completely agree. My concern is with Trojan Arena, Trojan Dining, Alumni Hall, The End Zone Complex, the golf complex, softball upgrade and currently the new student rec center all in the last 7 years is how much more debt or bond exposure can the university absorb? Two good points here: 1) I was told by a usually reliable source that Troy U's access to the bond market was maxed out a couple year ago. Could have changed in the meantime. Dunno. 2) The concession stand. I think the concession facilities could serve for several more years but Sodexo has done such a consistently poor job of management, ad nauseum. They did the "local group" concession stand deal for years. Actually I'm pretty sure they still do it.

typical for this part of the world, we are in a lightening delay that may last a LONG time based on radar. Nice work so far for the Trojans though.

Another possibility, take JV out of the picture, lets pretend he is the number 10 overall pick. As much as the starting 5 was shuffled last season, it's safe to say 4 of 5 are back with Wesley being the missing piece.

I'm glad we get to play in a nice stadium finally. I wonder if Coach Campbell's contract stated ground must be broken by _____ or approved and announced by _____.
Welcome to 2018 South, good to see you!
