All kept hearing was we are close, we are close. Coach, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. And dancing And nuclear weapons!

The county USDA office probably has aerial photographs of the entire county. They were mainly concerned with agriculture but there may be some of the city. I have some of my place that go back pretty far.

This just in; Shocking development --- The officials found some mail-in scores that weren't originally counted. Troy wins the game 49-47.

we're making uniform reveal videos, and Halloween videos -- I'd rather we make great highlight videos on ESPN

It was a tradition. Troy doesn't have many traditions but that was one. It was southern but not confederate. They can say whatever they want, it sure looks like they caved to the P.C. crowd.

The most glaring thing that needs to be fixed is our pass defense. The penalties can be fixed overnight. The sloppy play can be fixed in a week. The self (and team) discipline can be fixed whenever they decide to fix it. BUT the pass defense, that's still a big concern. In 2019 and this year, any team with a good quarterback and a couple of good receivers can pick our secondary apart. BYU and EKU had excellent QBs and receivers and we couldn't hang with them. Those are the guys that make the big plays and they made them against us. The rest of the schedule will try to do the same.

In a nutshell, Troy O couldn't stay on the field, D couldn't get off. TROY BYU Possession Time 15:48 44:12 1st Quarter 4 : 2 0 10:40 2nd Quarter 5 : 1 2 9 : 4 8 3rd Quarter 5 : 0 8 9 : 5 2 4th Quarter 1 : 0 8 13:52 Third-Down Conversions 2 of 14 5 of 12 Fourth-Down Conversions 1 of 2 2 of 4 This isn't right. They corrected it but it's still pretty bad. Possession Time 19:53 40:07 1st Quarter 7 : 0 3 7 : 5 7 2nd Quarter 5 : 1 2 9 : 4 8 3rd Quarter 6 : 0 4 8 : 5 6 4th Quarter 1 : 3 4 13:26

You gotta do what you gotta do, but I'm not a fan of playing the same team twice in the same season. UNLESS we win both of them!!

Troy fan should read this. I didn't see any exemptions for a UMASS football game. I have to a negative Covid 19 test or go into quarantine??? All visitors entering Massachusetts, including returning residents, who do not meet an exemption, are required to: Complete the Massachusetts Travel Form prior to arrival, unless you are visiting from a lower-risk state designated by the Department of Public Health. Quarantine for 14 days or produce a negative COVID-19 test result that has been administered up to 72-hours prior to your arrival in Massachusetts. If your COVID-19 test result has not been received prior to arrival, visitors, and residents must quarantine until they receive a negative test result. Failure to comply may result in a $500 fine per day. www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order

The important thing is how the university treats this. VK could be completely innocent of the remarks or it was said in a different context then what is reported and still be considered guilty.

HOPING that scheduling falls into place where we have numerous weekends with BOTH the men and women in Troy on the same weekend. Makes for more opportunities (and ticket sales) for Trojan Nation outside of The Wiregrass to travel, stay, and see BOTH teams play. It seems in recent years that the conference has put one team on the road and one at home against conference foes on the same date (I would have to go back and verify, but it seemed that way A LOT). NOT sure what caused that decision. My undergrad school when I was there only had a men's program. My grad school had both and I remember both teams being on one bus separated by the staff sitting in the middle Save a lot of travel money too

How will the extra year of eligibility effect scholarships and recruiting? You're only allowed X number of total scholarships. If they allow another year of eligibility then what happens to recruiting? Do we skip a year? Grant more total scholarships? I'll be waiting to see how this plays out Just like most things that are quick to come about: consequences and how does it over all impact things down stream is YET TBD and experienced. And there will probably be some unintended consequences as well, good and bad.

I think we can all agree on this one - Dr. Long was Mr. Fanfare and indeed a Legend. He and his direction of the band were and still is a very bright shining light for our beloved Troy U. There should be a statue of Dr. Long in the VET - just my .02. And as stated, RIP Dr. Long - gone but never forgotten sir! Rather than a statue, how about an empty seat in the band section designated for Dr Long, or name the whole band section the Dr Long section (or both)?

I like to go to all the basketball games and I have season tickets. Unfortunately my eyes are such that I don't drive well at night anymore. If anyone lives in the Abbeville -- Headland area and would like to go to the games with me please send me a PM. I'll pay for gas, and tickets, and have a decent car to drive.

Some type of initiation is certainly appropriate. You want new members to do things to show commitment. That certainly doesn't have to be nasty and degrading.
