If they are going to worry so much they just need to cancel the season.

So when is our bye week? Our first two weeks is our bye week? I don't like that.

Basically I bought season tickets for one game... so, this sucks. At least I’m helping my Alma Mater.

If they are going to worry so much they just need to cancel the season. Calm down Beavis, your triggering. It’s probably due to the hurricane that just ravaged Louisiana.

Multiple sources now saying a very large number of ULM players have COVID. Don’t think anyone wants that in Troy. Stay calm folks.

I think this will not be the only issue we face this season. I think that Troy U. as well as us fans are going to have to be flexible and patient. I’m hoping for a full schedule but I will be thankful for the games that do happen.

I believe the official reason was because of a number of positive Covid-19 tests but I think you're right. I doubt the area would be ready to go less than 10 days after a category 4 hurricane rolled across the state.

I think this will not be the only issue we face this season. I think that Troy U. as well as us fans are going to have to be flexible and patient. I’m hoping for a full schedule but I will be thankful for the games that do happen. I grew up about 100 miles from Lincoln Nebraska and lived in a farm community right on the Nebraska / Kansas line. The state of Nebraska has nothing except Husker football. It was odd growing up because farmers worked in the fall all the time no matter what day it would be. Except on Saturday’s in the fall. During game time there would be maybe one guy combining. Of course they have not been dominate for quite a few years but the economy is so tied to Husker football. They are devastated by the Big 10 and today 8 of their players sued the Big 10. There maybe other similar places but heard on a podcast that at present 48 businesses would probably shut their doors due to a year off. I think the SEC took the general statistical well being of young people and their towns economic forecasts of the Tuscaloosa’s, Athens, Starkville’s, Oxfords etc and realized that not playing would devastate these areas more than the disease. I don’t expect a huge hospitalization increase with the numbers in this population of young folks. The communities of Troy Jonesboro etc are somewhat in the above boat as well. The politics are maddening but the fact that we will have a little bump with students coming back this delay will pass. At least we will (almost for certain) see some football. The folks in Nebraska are not so lucky. For those of us who were there a couple of years ago and other years knows that the bunch up there are a knowledgeable and classy bunch of folks and extremely polite over all. I hate it for them but then again the administration ran after some money a few years ago but were a much better Big 12 fit. I just feel sorry for their players and their community.

If you remember, last Friday ULM announced they were putting FB practice on hold due to COVID among players and staff. The initial thought was they would be fine for week one, couple that with Monroe sustaining damage from Hurricane Laura and I think they have a good excuse this time. As for the future. Sticking with my prediction that a team Somewhere will have a major COVID outbreak and everyone will freak. Star players will not want to play, thus causing admin to pull the plug on the season due to “Player safety”.

Player safety as well as fan safety is paramount. I’m just hoping for at least a few games but I’m not holding my breath.

All I can say is I HOPE & PRAY that The Trojan Nation does a better job of wearing masks and social distancing than I have witnessed the opening two weeks of high school football.

Speaking of crazy! I don’t do a lot of political but the Biden add for empty football stadiums (Michigan etc) as Trumps fault. Talking about needing to shut down again etc . Kind of like The Menendez brothers throwing themselves on e mercy of the court as orphans. Strange that no matter what was done there was going to be some pain and numbers thru communities. Rumor Big10 trying to think about Nov, Dec conference games. Saw that on MAC board so not sure how true
