If they play like they did in the second half for the rest of their games they will win the conference championship. A very well-coached and well-played game.

for those of you that don't like math I have an analogy You are sitting around not knowing what to do and your buddy calls and invites you over to play beer pong with him and another dude. Sounds Ok and you too are bored. Then a really hot girl calls you and says she and a couple of her girl friends invite you and a couple of other guys over. You kind of like her or her friends and you are now less interested in beer pong Then another girl calls and asks you to pick her up (and she ain't bad and she is willing to go play beer pong) So now you have to decide. Beer pong with a couple of dudes. Try to hit on the hot girl and maybe the competition will not be too bad or tough. Or should you take the pretty good looking girl who likes you and is willing to go play Beer Pong. Most guys are stupid and go after the hottest girl. Some guys go after the not so hot but not bad girl and beer pong Then there are those few who just love beer pong with a couple of buds. Actually, it appeared there were about 332 thousand of which does not include the two thirds of that group which are ready there (the guy asking you to come and the other buddy that would represent the Troy fans the chicken fans are represented by the mangy dog that lives there too.) Hey I have a degree in Math but I understand this logic better. I really didn't know I had that many options. Oh well, I'll try to be more alert next season.

I'm almost positive that the players would much rather play in the New Orleans Dome rather than a soccer venue (Cure Bowl's emporia stadium) or any of the other stadiums the Sun Belt has a tie with Legion field, Crampton Bowl, FAU's Stadium, Coastal's stadium, South's stadium etc. The Bahamas Bowl might be nice, if they've finally recovered from the hurricanes. After sitting in the weather in Jonesboro, an air conditioned domed stadium would be nice.

I listened to the post game comments and the Arkansas State head coach that he was trying to build in Jonesboro what Troy already has. That's a nice classy compliment!

Jack needs to turn it over Jack won't turn it over if there's something in sports he can spend it on, or something else to put his name on.
Yeah, sending the marching band to the championship game IS like spending it on sports, but I don't think he sees it that way. He used to.
I vote for the Pep Band. They're livelier, play more, and get into the game more.

1. I know for a fact there there were complaints from both Are You From Dixie and the Fanfare 2. The university is there to make money and the band is there to recruit, both of which are hurt by the racist themes of those songs 3. I just glad they're letting the band play, not all bands (college and high school) are that lucky There is not one racist word in Dixie.

I thought the game changed when Troy went for it on 4th and goal at the 3-yard line and Watson tossed it to Michael Vice for a TD. We could have attempted a field goal. That drive started slow and got better with every set of downs. By the time we got to the goal line everyone was confident we'd get the TD and we did. I don't think a field goal would have energized the team like that TD did.

Bringing 1 on my trip. What are some good eats in Lafayette? Just don't fill up anytime before gametime. Dem cajuns are very hospitable around the tailgates!! Most memorable tailgates ever in Sunbelt! BTW, 2 here. Coming from somewhere. Stop by "The Krewe de Chew" you won't be disappointed

Go to at least one show. They're well advertised in bright neon lights. Pick one and enjoy. I prefer Caesar's Palace or Flamingo but it's been a while since I was there. I've never been to a bad show.

90th in the nation in rush Defense 76th in pass defense 79th in pass offense 93rd in rush offense Frank Gore Jr. 62 rushes, 336 yards, 3 TDs Zach Wilcke 42/70, 503 yards, 4/1 Td/INT, 60% CMP Jakarius Caston 20 receptions, 262 yards, 3 TDs Numbers wise we are alot better, talent wise we are better. But games are not played on paper, they are played with players. Regardless of our injuries and all, we should be victorious Tulane dominated them in every statistic. So. Miss beat them.

Call the athletic department and talk to Kyle George. They can probably set you up a tent on tailgate terrace and steer you to several options for catering.

The band has certainly taken a downward spiral in the last 20 years. The Pep Band does a better job.

I'd have to rank the Ragin Cajuns #1. They are the most friendly in the tailgating area before and after the game. During the game they'd throw you in a pond full of gators.

When the conferences shuffling started in a big way a few years back, I was told by someone "in the know" that the master plan was to have four super conferences with 16 teams each, two divisions each. The eight divisions would play for the conference championship; the four conference champs would play for the national championship. This appears to be the way things are going. I was wondering which one of the power 5 conferences would fall out, and now it appears to be the PAC 12, leaving just the SEC, ACC, Big 10, and Big 12 to be the four super conferences. Those four may, at some time, split away from the NCAA but that is unlikely due to the other sports.

If the stadium is full, you'd never know what color the seats are

What ever happened to guys walking around yelling hotdogs, cold beer, peanuts? Is that in the "days gone bye" category?

Most of the places I've been where they scan the phone there was always a longer wait in the line. Seems like the machines they use for scanners have trouble picking up the screen if it's in the sun, or the screen saver gets turned on the the person has to reactivate the screen, or the some other minor holdup which eventually causes a ripple effect and a unnecessary delay. Phones work well in airports but not so much outside.

Nix isn't very highly thought of by the other coaches at Central. Let's everyone know he is the "Prima Donna" I wouldn't want him on may staff.

This is a good discussion with a lot of good ideas, but you’re forgetting something. A significant portion of the seats in any particular lower bowl, home side section are already spoken for. If those people choose to renew those tickets, there’s not much that the athletic department can do with causing a MAJOR public relations nightmare. There are good seats all along the home side that go unsold every year. I sit in 108 and the 3 seats directly in front of mine were not sold as season tickets this past season ( although I’m seriously thinking about taking care of two of those myself). Let’s all commit to being at the games as much as possible, moving to the home side if not there already, and to raising the roof once toe meets leather. If we do that, folks will join in or leave and that will Make what we’re talking about easier to accomplish. I go to a lot of away games. The fans that seem to have the most impact on the opposing teams are the ones that are directly behind the opposing teams' bench at Louisiana's Cajun Field. They're constantly loud, and since they are right behind the opposing teams benches they have to interfere with the sideline communications. They call it the Red Zone and it's always been full when I've been there. We could easily move the visiting teams fans to the upper deck and let the students and others expand.
