Nothing anywhere near concrete yet, but the early rumors are New Orleans vs #23 UTSA. Looks like a good matchup. The game is December 21st at 8 CST and will air on ESPN.

I hope it’s not my old home of NOLA. The shootings on Bourbon Street made my wife say no to that

Frankly to all of the previous times I have walked from hotel to the dome with quite a few along the way walking. However, at times not as many and with the way NO is now, I am not sure I would want to risk it. New Orleans has turned into a literal hell hole in many respects. I would probably be able to make it and the matchup is and would not be a bad one but would much rather grab a UCF in the Gasparilla or something like that. Selfishly, I have my stepdaughter's wedding the 17th so no go to quite a few bowls.

I read somewhere that the conference champ would be in The Cure Bowl in Orlando. Accurate? 🤷‍♂️ The Cure Bowl holds the #1 draft pick amongst the SunBelt. Don't read any of the other crap on the intrawebs from the "bowl projection experts". Who the Cure Bowl chooses is up to them, BUT the last two seasons they've taken the chickens from Carolina. Me thinks they'd love to see a lot of people from the state of Alabama NOLA will be foaming at the mouth to get South, they've never had the chance to got there so it's a win/win

Buzz we are right there with you on that sad note I hate to think after being able to travel this memorable season to ALL of the games (prior to this weekend's championship, we are at 5,500 miles) and then miss the bowl game and associated activities. Fall Exams end at 12:50 pm (CT) on Friday, December 16th and Cure Bowl kicks off at 3:30 pm (ET) on Friday, December 16th. I don't think I can cover the 542 miles in an hour and forty minutes.

I hope it isn't New Orleans. Done it three times and every time the city is worse. 2017 you had to walk over bums in the street and we got harassed walking to the stadium and I almost got into a altercation protecting my wife and kids. Hard pass on NOLA

We would travel and stay with them most likely plus with me just being diagnosed and having a cancerous bladder tumor removed I’d love to attend this game.

Orlando would be a good game for both players and fans. We have a decent alumni base on the I-4 corridor and there is a Cent FL Alumni Chapter active. Players would enjoy Disney and Universal and weather will be good. Also not adversed to B-Ham but the players would have the best time in Mickey Town

I'm almost positive that the players would much rather play in the New Orleans Dome rather than a soccer venue (Cure Bowl's emporia stadium) or any of the other stadiums the Sun Belt has a tie with Legion field, Crampton Bowl, FAU's Stadium, Coastal's stadium, South's stadium etc. The Bahamas Bowl might be nice, if they've finally recovered from the hurricanes. After sitting in the weather in Jonesboro, an air conditioned domed stadium would be nice.

Ignore any expert who has bowl projections. Your clicks on their site just gives them extra cash for no real info.
