True, PensacolaKid. UAB brought back the football program, built a new practice facility and football operations building for Clark before his raise. We're cautiously optimistic about the new stadium coming to Uptown & starting construction in 2018. I haven’t heard much about a new stadium being built. When was this rumored?

I just hope we can watch it... any word on tv coverage? More than likely ESPN3.

It worked for me. It was a white helmet with a T with red white and blue digital camo. I think you might’ve seen the wrong image. It’s red, black, grey digital camo.

D3 Emory& Henry regularly out draws Georgia State. Why do they even have football? Great facility there what a waste of money though. It was either going to be used or destroyed.

Win or lose out I think Troy is going to be picked for the Camellia bowl....I went to Camellia Bowl last year and Montgomery does a nice job with that bowl...the pre-game introductions were awesome and the PA announcer for that game was really good....I personally am holding out hope for New Orleans though. Where do you see App State going?

Is this a bowl for us or just another home game? Tucson Arizona would at least be a nice trip for the handful that would go out there I think it would be just another home game. I hope it’s either New Orleans or Mobile. We would have near zero fan presence in Florida or Arizona.

That more than likely isn’t a fair comparison. Arkansas is a total train wreck right now. Comparison to what...? He stated they played Ark St & I stated it was the hawgs...All corrected now. Throw the Arkansas game out. They lost 52-10 to an FCS school.

They actually played the hawgs...lost 38 - 39... That more than likely isn’t a fair comparison. Arkansas is a total train wreck right now.

New Orleans will take the Cajuns especially in a heart beat. They drew 50,000 plus when they played Tulane down there That probably won’t be happening this season, thankfully.

Fans just expeireinced Mobile last year is one factor. Also, the date doesn't allow for many to go early and enjoy the pre-game day festivities (parades, block parties, etc.) At least Mobile offers pre-game day festivities. I’m not sure how you could have anything listed above in Montgomery.

Georgia State is probably bound for that one. The Cure Bowl has to be excited about the 50 or so fans that Georgia State will bring to Orlando. That’s where they went to their first bowl game. Who else would take them?

Fan Fun Rankings: 1. New Orleans 2. Montgomery 3. Mobile Tell me how Montgomery is more fun than Mobile. What can you do that’s fun in Montgomery besides drinking?

This is nothing. They haven’t even be rumored to be making a change yet. They have problems beyond the head coach.

What kind of a reward would that be? Fight hard all season to get to a bowl game, and you end of going 45 minutes away from campus to a crap stadium. You would have no fun prior to the game. On the same level as Mobile. Nola is a better party town, but they couldn’t care less about the New Orleans bowl. All their prep is for the sugar bowl. I’ll just have to disagree. It would be one thing if we were looking at 6-6 or 7-5. But for a season that we’re on track to have, Montgomery would be an insult.

Ya, I'd be highly surprised if we ever go to Montgomery... Just no money for them. It would be a home game for us and sold out. It’s a terrible bowl. We will bring just as many to a much better bowl which is located in Mobile. A former of FCS stadium. Yeah, that’s where I want our team.

Montgomery is a perfectly fine destination for Troy in a bowl. The game would be sold out and all the non locals would gobble up the overpriced hotels for the weekend. The downtown entertainment district in Montgomery is a pretty good place to party with several thousand of your closest Troy friends. What kind of a reward would that be? Fight hard all season to get to a bowl game, and you end of going 45 minutes away from campus to a crap stadium. You would have no fun prior to the game.

One projection has Troy vs Toledo in the Camellia, another has Troy vs N Illinois in the Dollar General. I'd rather play N Illinois. Better location and better chance of a W. Another 10 win plus season isn't anything to sneeze at. App State has Camellia written all over it. It’s getting old that the so called “experts” keep putting us in Montgomery. It ain’t gonna happen.

I would LOVE a UAB/Troy game at the Cure Bowl, in Orlando! Georgia State is probably bound for that one.

Say we go 9-3 with a loss to Arkansas St would we wind up in New Orleans? Doesn't the conference champ go to Montgomery? App St has been the last 2 years in a row. 9-3 would likely be Mobile.

And I assume that an AAC match up with them is what they prefer but they may for go that depending on their best interest with records and votes in poll. I am on course speaking of Toledo and the fly in the ointment for the DG is the 23rd date. However, our best scenario is still to get Toledo in that bowl as a 10-2 team and a conference champ although be it CO. we just need to win and someone beat App Thankfully, one part of your plan is checked off. App lost to ULM.

I don't want to fire anyone. And I also know basketball is a game that is more likely to have an upset than football. However, no matter the reason, we should never lose an exhibition game, ever. Just my 2 dull wore out pennies! I was not in attendance so can't give first hand observation. But, exhibition games are frequently used to give game experience to non-starters, new faces and try out new schemes etc, etc. I would consider winning an exhibition game secondary to these other objectives. Where is Ga Southwestern located anyway?? Americus, Georgia.
