Not sure this #RankTroy campaign the school is taking on is the right one. We lose and we have major egg on the face and you kinda look foolish. Why not just let the play on field dictate and promote Troy in general? Enough with the "y'all need to rank us because we say so" I think if the media would give Troy the proper credit things would be better. It was ridiculous to watch on EPSN2 last night their top 5 group of 5 during the WMU game in the 3rd qtr.
1. WMU 8-0 "I understand" 2. BSU 7-1 " I understand" 3. SDSU 7-1 " Well they are good even though they lost to a team Troy Beat" 4. USF 7-2 " Currently second in their Division to Temple W/ 2 losses to 2 teams with 3 loss (FSU & Temple) " ? 5. TULSA 6-2 " Currently second in their Division with a loss to the division 3rd place team with 2 loss to Ohio State & Houston (Houston lost to 1st in division Navy) " ?
Sorry about the Rant it is just that this got me PO last night that USF & Tulsa was in their Top 5. USF is needing Temple to lose to 1 of their 3 remaining games to Teams that have losing records in order just to make it into their own Conference Championship game. Tulsa is in second and needs to beat the Team that ESPN had in its Top 5 last week (NAVY) in order to even make it to their championship game. It was clearly a snub or people just not giving a.....

Yes! I'm 'Bama born and spent plenty of time as a kid on Lake Martin. Dad made trips to Troy ever year for deer season. Even though NC has been home for more than 50 years, Alabama will always be my real home. I'm coming down Friday and hoping to get some time to drive down memory lane a bit while I'm in the neighborhood. I'm looking forward to a weekend filled with two of my favorite things ... good football and rural Alabama! Below is a link to a good deer hunt / private school fundraiser in Troy. Deer Hunt

Just figured I would bring this one up since people are hashing out bad calls. Yeah, this is the play that an acquaintance (high school official in Texas) tried to tell me that "the whistle doesn't stop the play, the play stops the play". Baffled I tell you, I was baffled by his explanation!!! Why dI'd they use this rule that was used to make it a nonreviewable play "A fumble after the whistle has blown. At that point, the play is considered dead and can not be reviewed."

If they do not clean up some of the play shown from the last 2 games every game is a TRAP game.

On APP STATE. It could be picked up on ESPNU as there is Sun Belt teams playing on there the next 2 Saturdays. The ESPNU current schedule shows openings for 11A , 230P & 6P that day. ESPNNEWS I believe is already full and ESPN & ESPN2 are also still yet to be decided. I would think it will be released at the first of next week.

We still have to play App St., Ark St. (on a short week), and travel to Georgia Southern. We still have a LOOOONG way to go. But if we run through that gauntlet unscathed i believe the stars will be aligned correctly and that everything else should work out. UMass is no pushover. They have played a wicked schedule and nobody has beaten them badly. We will have earned a 11-1 record if we win out. No one is a push over even from the FCS. Look at one of BSU key wins is over Washington State (1st in PAC 12 North) that had just loss to a FCS Eastern Washington the week before.

South actually had a really good crowd. Yes, Troy brought a very good crowd, but 15k?? We probably had 5-6k, which is great for a midweek game. The city of Mobile really showed up tonight. It was great to be a part of that atmosphere. I hoped South brings up a bunch of fans next year to help the vet rock a little harder. I think you missed my point as I did not say they were all Troy fans. The Fact TROY was playing brought in the attendance (up by 15K+) and doubles that attendance of a TOP 25 team at home for USA. I do however think Troy had more. If Troy was only 5 or 6K then USA had a EXTRA 10K fans show up to watch Troy over a TOP 25 team LOL.

USA only had 14,741 in attendance when playing top 25 SDSU at Home. GA South attendance was 17,691. Nicholls attendance was 13,086.
Attendance for the Troy game was 30,837. The numbers do not lie.

Far Right (does to much) and Far Left (says it should not be allowed). I feel the Majority is somewhere between the 2 and the Majority would be considered NORMAL. Normal changes as the Majority changes. Abnormality is Far Left and Far Right.

Just saying it is not what it appears at first sight. Pretty Much BSU & WMU are the 2 I am most worried about getting ahead of.
AAC (Houston, Navy, Memphis & USF) Houston being ranked #11 in the Country needs Navy to loss twice so they can play in the conference Championship.
Navy plays Memphis & USF in regular season (by default 2 of these 3 teams will be a 2 loss team) and more than likely play USF in championship 2nd time.
Memphis Has to beat Navy, Houston & USF in regular season to get in to the conference championship which most likely would be USF Again.
USF has Beat Navy & Memphis and then Probably Navy or Memphis again in Championship game.
MWC BSU & SDSU
Boise has to win out and then Probably play SDSU in Championship Game
SDSU needs to win out and would still have the LOSS to South Alabama (which Troy would have to beat to get there)
MAC WMU & Toledo WMU Needs to win out they face Toledo on 11/25 & then Conference Championship
Toledo Even if the win out has a Loss to a 3 Loss BYU
Sun Belt Troy Troy needs to Win out and would only have a close loss to current #3 Clemson (not to mention the blown call issue)
I see were Troy still has a shot with some help.

A quick statement on this is that Ranking is not the only determining factor. The team must also be the Conference Champion. So say if a Boise was to suffer a Loss in their conference Championship game and still be ranked highest they would not get the bid. Houston could still finish ranked and not win the conference if Navy was to win out and suffer a loss in the AAC conference title game.
"Twelve schools are selected for the major bowls. These include the champions of the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big Ten Conference, Big 12 Conference, Pac-12 Conference and Southeastern Conference. The highest-ranked champion from the "Group of Five" conferences (American Athletic Conference, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West, and Sun Belt) is guaranteed a berth if the group's top team is not in the playoff."

3) Two tickets to the FCS championship game - Jacksonville State vs. North Dakota State. ($200 each) Does this come with picture of the JACK STATE fan holding the poster in the playoff that said "AUBURN HURT OUR STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE" ?

Troy is not as Far from success as the 3-6 record would indicate. As anyone can see Just a few plays going Troy's way and this would be what many would consider a successful season. Pretty much you knock out 3 critical TO's and Troy could be 6-3.
1. Pick inside Troy's 20 yard line that let USA get in a 9yd drive in the 24-18 Loss. 2. Fumble at Idaho's 2yd line that prevented a score in the 19-16 Loss. 3. Pick for TD at Appy State in the 44-41 Loss.
Win those 3 would put Troy tied with Arkansas State for the Belt title.
