Troy is not as Far from success as the 3-6 record would indicate. As anyone can see Just a few plays going Troy's way and this would be what many would consider a successful season. Pretty much you knock out 3 critical TO's and Troy could be 6-3.
1. Pick inside Troy's 20 yard line that let USA get in a 9yd drive in the 24-18 Loss. 2. Fumble at Idaho's 2yd line that prevented a score in the 19-16 Loss. 3. Pick for TD at Appy State in the 44-41 Loss.
Win those 3 would put Troy tied with Arkansas State for the Belt title.

As so many coaches say ... "Game of Inches"! I'm reminded of what Coach Gailey would say: "Every game is determined by 4 or 5 plays ... we just don't know which plays. So, play every play as if it's the ONE that will determine the game!"

You are right....there just are no words for DB's not being in the same zip code as receivers or running the same running play for 8-9-13- then 42 yards for TD....some are the same guys all I can say is like Koening put it during training camp" we are having to spend time teaching guys how to play defensive fundamentals they should have already known
