I hate to see him go. He’s done a lot for TROY. Just don’t take Brent Jones with you.

This job has been open for some time and I suspected that he would be a candidate. I was worried that he would jump before we hired (The HC we don’t speak of) and now he stayed until we hired Cross so I give him credit for taking care of our business before he took care of his.

So any guesses who the next " AD What's His Name" will be? One intriguing name might be Overton at Kennesaw St. Was Associate AD at Alabama and worked at Tex A&M also. Kennesaw won the A-Sun All Sports Trophy also. Who knows? Probably from a SEC school I'm guessing

I am proud to be the first to announce a Press conference tomorrow at 1:00 PM announcing Hemi as our next AD. I have also been tipped of that Hemi will be wearing his formal loin cloth complete with tassels. He may not be the best AD we will ever have but certainly he will be one of our most unique.

Sandy has been named interim AD. I'm not intimately involved with the Athletic Department like some of you, so I may be wrong here. Based on what I've seen from a distance and what I've seen some of you say about her, I'd say give her a legitimate shot to earn the job on a permanent basis. IF she can pull it off, and by that I mean does she garner the respect needed to negotiate deals/schedules/games with big time schools, and can successfully administer the duties of the position, she's a TROY lifer and we'll be set for several years.
Thoughts from those of you closely involved with the athletic department?

Sorry Hemi, you'll have to settle for the position of Associate AD - Tailgate Cooking.

He’s done a great job since coming to TROY, he’s gonna be an AD somewhere, someday, might as well be here and now. I say we make it official and give him the job, steady the ship. We’ve had a very crazy 90 days, we need some stabilization.

How many schools have replaced the head football coach, head mens basketball coach, and athletic director in the same year?
