As well as the team has played as of late, it would be wonderful if she could heal 100% and then come back to play a game or two before the post season tournaments. The team looked great last night against a very solid Texas State squad, what a fantastic 4th quarter.

I would never have believed that when I was a student (in the 70's) that my alma mater would wind up in the AP's Top 20. This is an awesome achievement and I am so proud of our program. Want to give a shout out to our players, coaches, athletics department, fan base, and all those that made this monumental achievement possible.
A great day for the Trojan Nation!

It would be awesome if D-Ware were to be selected as a first ballot Hall of Famer. I would love to see HCLB in the audience along with Ms. Judy. When Demarcus makes the HOF, it would be great if Troy would broadcast the ceremony in Trojan Arena for all of us to enjoy the event together. This will be a huge day for the Trojan Nation!

Such an honor for our players and coaching staff. I wonder just how many of these players would have been on the list had we not made the coaching change after last season? We are so blessed to have HCJS and his staff here to lead our student athletes. Go TROY

Here's a remote, but intriguing, possibility regarding our Bowl game. There are not enough six win teams to fill all the bowl slots (which tells us there are way too many bowl games). Even though App State has six wins, two of them are against FCS teams, which technically does not quality them under normal circumstances (only one FCS game counts for an FBS team per season). One of the teams with five wins is Auburn. They went to the Birmingham Bowl last season as a six win team. If the stars align, they may be given the opportunity to play one more game this season. Could the Bowl Selection committee pit the Tigers against the Mighty Trojan Death Machine? For all fans who have been waiting for an opportunity to play Auburn, this could be our chance. I honestly had rather play a Power 5 school in a Bowl Game than to play a MAC or C-USA team again. Just saying....

Seven here; Got my tickets printed out. We need a full house. With Troy being the only instate D-1 team playing Saturday, I would hope the Vet would look like the Army game. Amazing what a difference a year makes. Also, note that Troy would have won the Eastern Division this season as well!

It was amazing to see the small crowd at FSU. Very proud of Troy. Saw Coach Cross go into the stands to thank the folks from Troy for coming to the game. This will help us with SOS and also gaining some confidence when it comes to tournament time.

As a Long-time Trojan fan, this is a very special time for our program to have two outstanding QB's that both get to play, and some quality guys behind them waiting their turn. It has happened a few times over the years and with great coaching on the sidelines to support the players, we are likely in for a good ride for the foreseeable future.
We are truly blessed to have this tandem on the team at the same time!

Just ordered my parking pass. Thanks for sharing the website. The site immediately took me to Lot 607 BLUE, the total cost is $28 and they recommended to print out the parking pass and have it in your vehicle upon arrival to the Lot.
Looking forward to the game Thursday evening.

Guys,
This was the best overall road game I have seen the Trojans play in a very long time (App State was also a solid performance). The atmosphere was awesome in Bowling Green. It was amazing to see how many fans left with a few minutes to go when WKU got down by 14 (after scoring 73 the previous weekend). The players were fired up heading to the locker room and were so grateful for the support from the Trojan Nation. I pray Gunner recovers quickly, we're very fortunate to have two very experienced QBs that know how to handle our offense. We must maintain focus and not think about a 10 win season, just prepare for the next team coming up and everything else will work itself out.
The coaching staff has things moving in the right direction.
What a great weekend!

Based on this logic, and the extensive research to back it up, I would say that the Trojan Nation will be pleased with what the Jon Sumrall era will look like in years to come.

Possum is an all-time favorite. He has supported Troy for many years. He is one of the great tailgaters of all time, best pulled pork in the South! Possum, I can only hope this is a temporary decision as you have added so much to the message board and been a staple at various sporting events for the Trojan family. I have always enjoyed our conversations and listening to your thoughtful perspective of 'The School we Love!' You will be missed on this Discussion Board but please don't be a stranger around campus. I know you have a long drive from Northwest Georgia, but you are a Trojan through and through so I hope to see you this football season as HCJS attempts to get the needle moving in the right direction for our program.
You're the best!

My family and I will be heading to the Western Kentucky game. We have quite a few folks that I worked with in Bowling Green who want to attend (as Trojan fans), so we'll be getting a number of tickets for this one. Not a bad road trip from Troy, right at 6 hours, straight up I-65 to Bowling Green (exit 22). Nashville is just over an hour from the WKU campus as well. Also happens to be my birthday weekend.

It was gratifying to see so many players getting playing time last night. I know it was exciting for the players who don't often get the opportunity to step on the court during games. Maybe this was the coaches way of thanking them all for a great season.
Looking forward to seeing who we can recruit, glad we will have a significant number of players returning in the 2022-23 season.

It sucks to lose in the postseason again... but I'm stoked Troy actually reached 20 wins this season. That has been a RARE feat for the past 20 years. I'll happily take a 20-12 season and a CBI invite over a 10-22 season with absolutely nothing to play for. Yep. Critics will be critics but season over season a good trend. 4-5 down the final stretch, turnovers etc. point to maturity; it's a young club. Only 2 seniors. HCSC moving this program in the right direction. With the "Portal Effect", no telling how next year will look. It was a great season, both the men's and ladies programs did get a bit out of rhythm down the stretch. You're right about the portal, look at Iowa State after winning two games last season and now in the sweet sixteen. We all should be proud of both programs, great coaches and some outstanding student athletes. Troy is trending in the right direction. Go TROY!

The referees were not consistent when calling 'traveling' last night. It was awful that the game came down to a terrible call while players were on the floor scrambling for the ball. Seemed like we couldn't catch a break with the calls last night. Our ladies had a valiant comeback in the last few minutes, a great game to attend. Too bad it was Spring Break week as we could have used the students in attendance. Proud of the Lady Trojans, it was an awesome effort and another outstanding season!

This looks like the toughest schedule we’ve had in a long time! I’d like to see the strength of schedule ranking! Also If they market the army game properly to Fort Benning and Fort Rucker it should be a sell out! Totally agree, trojanmatt! We need to get as many of our local Army Posts soldiers and military veterans into the Vet. The game is scheduled for Veterans Day weekend so we could make this a real special time for our military, our students, and our fans. I noticed that Army is playing four Sun Belt games this season. Since they’re an independent, like Notre Dame, we should make an agreement with Army like the ACC has done with the Irish. It would help them as much as the Belt. We have a challenging schedule in 2022, but we have a great opportunity to get fannies in the seats at the Vet and make a statement in the Western Division. Looking forward to seeing the product that Coach Sumrall and his staff will put on the field in 2022! Go Troy!

Huh??? Paul TysonAmerican Football Coach Paul Leighton Tyson was an American football coach. He was one of the most successful high school football coaches of all time, winning four Texas state championships and one national championship in the 1920s. Knute Rockne called Tyson "one of the finest coaches I ever met, college or high school". Same name, different person. Paul Tyson is the great grandson of Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant. He has been in a backup role as an Alabama QB and has three years of eligibility remaining.

I am looking forward to a return of 'The Mighty Trojan Death Machine' again in the Vet, as well as college campuses around the country. TMTDM has stuck with us over the years and if Ho gave it to us, it's just one of his many contributions to our Board!
