Huge win for the Trojans. It is good to see Ben Arnett back in the lineup. He will help us down the homestretch and into the post-season.
By the way, it appears the playing field at Samford has the largest foul areas down the right and left fields in the country.

Bubba, this should be an easy fix. Sitting on the floor at the base of the seating section at your end of the court would be the best place for their safety and your court view. They play a big role at our games, and I am glad they come (many times in massive numbers). They are following orders from their leadership team, so hopefully, the cheer coaches can make this adjustment easily, allowing fans to have better visibility.

On Sunday, the ladies won a big one against a Top 25 Texas State squad in 12 innings. Libby Baker pitched the entire game. Made the trip home a lot more pleasant.

I asked Coach Parker if she had any eligibility left. He said she didn't but then I threw out the possibility of a Covid year option! She can definitely hit them from outside the arch. It was awesome to watch. We could have used her help in the second half of the Minnesota game.
So proud of our Lady Trojans.

This will certainly be our best chance for a postseason W in quite a while.
Let's all go out and support the Lady Trojans this evening.

Any time you hit the road d in conference play and take two of three — that's a good weekend. So true! Bobby Cox used to say that his ultimate goal for each series was to win two out of three. Another coaching great, Tommy Lasorda, used to say that each team will win 1/3 of their games, each team will lose 1/3, and it is how you do in the other 1/3 that determines your team's success. Keep up the great work guys! Go TROY!

Great Honor for Coach Rigby. She is certain to make her second HOF when her career is over here at TROY.
We are fortunate to have her here!
Congrats Coach Rigby!!!

I appreciate the update, PC.
We are blessed to have the current leadership coaching our basketball programs here at Troy.
Good luck to the ladies; we should learn the matchups today. It would be great if we could host in Trojan Arena.

He had a fantastic opening weekend, I hope he gets the national recognition he deserves for his bat!
We showed we could score some runs, hopefully, we can keep it going throughout the season.

This is a fun bunch to watch. They play as hard as any Troy team I have seen over the years and have great chemistry and team camaraderie. They give great effort each night, and as jonesoxygen says, we need to come out and support these guys.

This is great work and provides some interesting insights. The one that still stings is the 2007 Blakeney team that started 0-2 and wound up 8-4 but did not get a Bowl invitation. By the way, our first win that season was a thrashing over Oklahoma State, 41-23, yet the powers to be decided we were not worthy of playing in the postseason. Thanks for sharing this recap, Bennekles.

The Trojan Nation has lost a faithful supporter of Troy athletics. Booty played on the Offensive Line in the 70's and was a great friend and neighbor. He was always there to help and loved our community.
RIP my friend.

If you’re not visiting Trojan arena on a regular basis right now, you’re really missing out. I totally agree; the Men's team appears to have no egos; everyone has his role, and they appear to truly care about one another. As for the Ladies, they have totally turned things around since the loss to Georgia State on New Year's Eve. It is fun to see both teams improving each and every week. Go TROY!

It will be interesting to see what everyone says in two years. As for today, let's give HCGP a chance to show us who he is and what he can do. Glad we have a head coach, so now it's time to move forward.

Guys, we need to trust the process. ADBJ and his team will identify a select group of candidates who will get a look. Troy can be an attractive opportunity for a lot of high-potential coaches, we are in a better place than we've been for several years.
I am not suggesting that this guy would be on anyone's shortlist, but a high school coach in North Alabama was an awesome DC and had a brief stay as the HC of an SEC program. His wife is a Troy graduate, with family here, and he may want to test the waters and get back into coaching at the D1 level. It's been a few years since he had a very ugly ending to his HC career but in a world where people get second chances, do you think it's possible that Jeremy Pruitt would be given a look or is it still too soon following the NCAA infractions?

I received an email with my season tickets as well. My family will attend, but I will have to listen to Barry and Jerry from Hanoi, Vietnam. Kickoff starts at 4 AM on Sunday morning, December 3. With that kind of lead time, I should know the score before all of you guys! It would be wonderful to give some payback to the Mountaineers on Saturday. I will be cheering from my hotel room.

Brother KSD,
Prayers are being lifted for you, your family, and the medical staff. We appreciate you sharing this powerful message with your Trojan family. Life is way too short for getting upset about the trivial issues that we often discuss on this message board. We all know what is important in life and we should always live to make the most out of it every day. May the Lord grant you and your family the strength to deal with the surgery and the healing process that follows. I will add you to my prayer list and will lift you up in prayer while I am in Vietnam on December 1.
God bless.

Coach Blakeney is one of a kind. As a Trojan Talk call-in show regular during his tenure, Coach found out that one of my daughters, a student at the time, was having surgery in Dothan (during football season). I was living in Kentucky, and he took the time to call Flowers Hospital to check in on her and to let her know he was there if she needed anything. He had to tell this to my wife, who answered his call since my daughter had just been brought to her room after surgery. My wife became an immediate fan of HCLB. Troy was blessed to have him leading our program for a quarter century, and we would not be the program we are today without his hand in the mix. As bad as things ended for him at Auburn, his move to Troy was a godsend for all of us!
I look forward to seeing Coach on Saturday and telling him how proud we are to have him back at the Vet.

It's been stated here before, but JMU can not qualify as conference champions until 2024, thus no championship game this season again. The only way they go bowling is if there are not enough 6-win teams to fill all the bowl slots. The same applies to Jax State regarding the opportunity to go bowling in 2023. We control our own destiny, which is a wonderful situation to be in.

Totally agree! HCJS must get us focused on short notice to be ready for the rivalry game. Hopefully, those injured on Saturday will be able to contribute on Thursday.
Glad to be Bowl Eligible but we have much higher goals and need to show South what we're made of on November 2.
See you guys at the Vet.
