Predicting college football in February? Would love to see the margin of error for that one. I think it plays in our favor to be predicted as the #10 team in the Belt and in the 120's in overall ratings. If folks really believe these prognosticators know what they're talking about, it will totally remove us off the radar screen which I think gives us a great advantage to sneak up on a few teams. There are a few coaches up on the 5th floor of the stadium that know we are better than advertised by all these so called experts. Can't wait to see what this team looks like during Spring practice! Go TROY!

Are we getting new Black Uniforms next season and if so, is there a designated game that we plan on wearing them? Would appreciate any info you could share....

No doubt that the Sun Belt would be the best fit for UAB from a geographic and monetary standpoint.

CNB is making positive change. Despite all the negative people on this board the program is headed in a positive direction. Couldn't agree more, it really is an exciting time to be a Troy Trojan! Our next milestone is the first week in February to see they type players CNB and company will sign. Go TROY!

Yes, this place has a great reputation and it will be nice for the downtown Troy Square to have another business. Looking forward to breaking bread in the Sweet Rack Rib Shack!

Does anyone remember NASCAR??? I believe Neal will bring that fast paced tempo back to our offense. Could be very interesting to watch once everything begins to click. I can't wait to see how Spring ball looks for our Trojans!

Assuming Vic K. does become our DC, we will be blessed! He 'loved' his time at Troy and obviously gave us a true sense of what 'The Mighty Trojan Death Machine' was all about. If he and the other defensive coaching staff can get us back to that status, we are all going to enjoy watching some football at Larry Blakeney Field!!!

Hopefully, we will see some of the UAB student athletes make the trek south register for the upcoming semester and be here for Spring drills so that they can make an immediate impact on our program this upcoming season!

Just noticed that a job opportunity has been posted today for the 'Football Strength & Conditioning Coach' at Troy. Just curious if anyone has heard anything relating to this job posting?

I still wish Vic K. would come back, he has been heard to say how much he loved his time here at TROY! Whoever it is, I am confident that CNB will find a good DC to get things going on that side of the ball!!!

I agree with Hemi, this will be the opportunity for an FCS school to visit Memorial Stadium. However, in 2016, we only have Clemson and UMass as our out of conference games and UAB was going to be an away game for Troy so my hunch is that we will be heading to Lexington to play Kentucky since they also had UAB on their schedule for 2016 (September 3rd) and we have no one on our schedule for that opening weekend yet and will need two out of conference games to fill.

Once this thing becomes official, any player that wishes to transfer will not be required to sit out and is eligible to play next season. There are several current Blazers that visited Troy during their recruitment period, I imagine that both Troy and South Alabama, along with several C-USA teams, will be pushing to get their players to commit as soon as possible. This may also effect the other sports programs at UAB so the mass exodus may be forthcoming. I really hate this for the players and coaches, maybe there will be a 'silver lining' at the end of the day for them all.

Ho, this is your best post ever (well at least in English) and you made such wonderful points about Coach. As I recall, the scores you shared from those 'big games' during our first D-1 season were a bit better than I remembered. I am pretty sure we lost to Nebraska by 28 points (think the score was more like 42 to 14) and I remember the Miami game was very close for a while before the Canes pulled ahead and won 38 - 7. There is NO doubt in my mind that had the hire been someone other than LB some 24 years ago, we likely would have eventually made the move to 1-AA but I doubt we would have ever gone 'BIG TIME'.
Again, this post is a classic, thanks for sharing this with us all!!!
